I walk looking for metal to sell to the scrappers. Someone left a bag of fresh pineapple, unopened. I carried that home. Some kind neighbours donated some frozen chicken breast. I added basil & sprinkled a little anise seed on it as the bird got close to done. Super good! Then I looked this up to compare notes. Nice to meet you, Chef Lau!
Love your simple, unpretentious presentation. I was going to make BBQ chicken and pineapple skewers but there was rain in the forecast so looking for another way to cook my ingredients. BTW in the US we call it corn starch, not corn flour.
@@judyberes-wright5008 Thank you Judy! Glad you liked it. This was one of my earlier videos but I’ve always tried to go about things in a similar way - just being li’l ol me! 😅 And yes, I’ve been informed many times on the corn starch naming - every day’s a school day 😄 Thanks again 🫶
Thank you, thank you, thank you 🙏..... made this tonight, really top drawer. I made your fried rice recipe as accompaniment ( amazing ), Michael 11/10, say no more 😁👍😁👍😁 yummy yum yum 😋
Hi Michael and Yvonne. Lovely recipe thank you v much. The fresh pineapple will taste better than tinned. Could you also do one of my favourite chinese dishes which is chicken and cashew nut. I have never made it at home before. Keep 'wocking and wolling' in your kitchen. Haha. DEB in Newcastle, England. Xx
Hi Deb, you're welcome! Yes fresh pineapple is much better and doesn't take much more prep. I've done a chicken and cashew recipe - th-cam.com/video/tJG10clRXMc/w-d-xo.html Hope you like it :) xx
@@yinoveryang4246 Definitely something happens to me when there’s a lot of msg. I’m ok when there is a moderate amount. Having said that, I can’t find any research that shows msg to be harmful. I made a video about it. I think different people react differently to it and in moderation it’s ‘safe’. Thanks for sharing your thoughts 😊
@ years ago I also researched it, and found no mention of MSG causing other people headaches. But it’s a definite phenomenon I experience . Not sure of the quantity that causes it. I’m not a “headache person”. Rarely get them even after drinking, so it’s easy to identify the cause.
@ It’s definitely something that needs more attention. I always liken it to salt. Salt is deemed ‘safe’, but we all know too much is bad for you. Thanks for your input

That’s really nice to hear, Dan. Thanks for sharing this 😊👍
I also get an MSG headache. There's something weird about that, doesn't speak well for monosodium glutamate
