- THIS WAS AN ONLINE EVENT HELD IN AUSTRALIA AT THE OLIGARCH STORE IN MELBOURNE ON FRIDAY 29th JULY 2023
Kevin from Oligarch Melbourne and I held a Perfume Discovery "Evening at Oligarch" in which Aussies & International perfume lovers joined us in real time to enjoy a curated selection of fragrances that the Oligarch store have on offer.
Participants all had their own personal perfume discovery kit that included:

Totally! I loved the different reactions in the room for this one. For me (and as you know) this is a glorious fragrance that works so well on a woman (well at least on my beautiful wife🥰)

Yes, I would have to agree. This one is a powerhouse fragrance. I know that when my wife is wearing it, I can smell it in the whole neighbourhood!♥️💥 This is the perfect 'beast mode' floral fragrance

I'd like to echo the thank yous there. I did smell deeply weird and confusing for the next day or so after spraying however-many things on myself (hardly for the first time, granted) 🙃
Big Mike🎤👑 It was so good having you in the room alongside Edward. You can see the energy that you boys brought to this experience as we all shared collectively on the various fragrance's. Both Kevin and I agree that when we do this again; those thrones need to have people in them!
Yes, this took some time to edit (it was a massive undertaking) considering that we had so many camera's and a very loose, 'in the moment' delivery style that my editors really had to work to translate this as an episode...but I think it works.

Wonderful to hear from you @yajairamarquetti9859, thank you for reaching out. The good news is that everyone of these perfumes recommended at definitely unisex. I know this for certain as a lot of these perfumes I own and both my wife and I use.
There are some in this line up (for instance Rose de Mai) that is very rose/floral for my taste, so only my wife wears this one but this is now personal taste.

I just want to mention to you that I’ve watched your videos stating that Xerjoff Renaissance has good performance it definitely does not. One thing I’m starting to notice about the fragrance reviewers is kinda like the self help gurus they put everything back on you. If something isn’t working it’s bc you aren’t trying hard enough., you aren’t working hard enough., it’s always your fault., it has nothing to do with the information they have shared with you- it’s you. It’s your fault. Then they proceed to come out with a new book set., seminars- webinars., live streams etc ., if their information is soo good why do they have to come out with something new almost every yr or every other yr? I have bought so many bottles of niche perfume were reviewers swear by the performance is beast mode this and that and it’s just simply isn’t. We go and buy the bottles they swear by all the while they (the reviewer’s) get free/gifted or highly discounted fragrances.., and plz before I receive a lot of hate for writing this it’s so true just seldom or rarely ever mentioned- and I hope I have at least touch a nerve with these people and the fragrance industry dirty little secret. Also if you’ve noticed how giving the public the excuse of offering them 50ML bottles is bc it makes it more affordable well that’s one way if deceiving the public bc if you can’t make something affordable in a 100ML then your charging way too much for the fragrance from the get go. Heck there are some 50ML bottles going for $250.00-$350.00 I mean where does it end?

The reality is that a 'fragrance review' is only a persons opinion based on their experience with that fragrance. In most cases the person sharing this opinion is just a 'perfume lover' and not an expert in the field; and so not really backing up any claims based on the chemistry of the fragrance, just the love of the smell, the brand, the packaging or as you mentioned, the free bottle
The best way to qualify any claims that are made during any reviews is to test for yourself and see if the fragrance performs for you. If it doesn't, it could be all the things that you listed above or it could be that it just doesn't work for you. Perfume, like all sensory experience's is a personal reality; to me a fragrance could smell like a citrus grove, whereas to someone else it smells like the toilet cleaner their mother uses.
In regards to pricing on certain brands; I agree. Where does it end? But I think this, like all business enterprise's; it ends when the customer doesn't buy anymore...and then price's are adjusted or quality is tweaked to accommodate a new price point. For me this conversation always takes me to buying popcorn in the theatre...the price is so unreasonably high considering that I know what a bag of corn kernals cost; how do we bring that price down? Everyone stops buying it and brings it from home instead....won't be long before the theatre's respond to this.

Scent is so subjective and with Marcelo and Kevin; I’ve never been pressured, felt pressured nor told to go and buy. I love this channel as we can agree that one scent does not fit all, however I will not blindly go into any scent without testing on my skin. Acidic skin also has a massive impact on scents and on mine,some are like fly spray or oud projecting more poop-like. As a female, I adore more stronger scents and these gentleman provide a classy journey for me to hunt and try . I like many that Marcelo loves but some just do not work on me.

The best example of how fragrance reacts differently on individuals is the “mmm baby, What’s your name?”episode that I did with Michael Marzano.

@@TheNicheFragranceCollector For example; Naxos and I just don’t get on🤷🏻♀️. I feel it may be the lavender but again, my response is based on nozzle and paper test. Longevity issues cannot be measured unless we try eg when I commented Bal D’Afrique has a 2 hr staying power and you responded it lasts until next day… where I wanted to give you a knuckle sandwich out of pure envy ; it is my skin. Buuuuut , winter has been different with it 5-6 hrs 👏🏻👏🏻.Thank you always for the informative artistic and high end production of all your posts🙏🏻❤️
