I tried Absinthe the other day, and it surprised me a lot. I absolutely loved it and I think it will be my first green fragrance soon. I'd definitely put it in my top 3 from Nasomatto; It was so addictive, woody, lush, creamy, sweet, long -lasting. Perfect for spring.

Fantastic Maté Talk as always! Love this series! Nasomatto is an incredible house! I’ve sampled and loved a few, but the only one I own at this time is Pardon! I’ll definitely add more when the weather starts cooling down here in the northern hemisphere! Baraonda, Black Afgano, and Duro are all loves! I tried Montale’s Aoud Musk as an alternative to Duro, but it doesn’t quite compare. The choice of musk used in the Montale doesn’t agree with me. Sounds like I need to get a sample of Narcotic V. for my girlfriend to test out (along with a few others for myself lol). Side note: I recently picked up the limited edition Montabaco Cuba from Ormonde Jayne after sampling. Highly recommend getting your nose on it! There’s and added sweetness and floral component to the original DNA that I think you’d appreciate! Much love from the US, Marcelo! Keep up the great work 👊🏻

I totally agree! However it's super polorising! (until you understand its power⚡️). Personally this is a summer fragrance and encourage anyone not to test in cool weather. Santa Maria Novella Tabacco Toscano was my first ever fragrance! Got it from the SMN boutique in LA in 2019. It has been reformulated, but the original formulation remains my favorite of all my fragrances.
I started buying Nasomatto, because of your channel, and I absolutely love all of it. I'm not a huge fan of Fantomas, but I'll still wear it. The rest is pure gold. Broke my heart that they discontinued China White. Should be considered a crime, honestly. Lovely video, as always! Already looking forward to the next.

@@TheNicheFragranceCollector They do still sell the China White 4ml. miniature roller bottles, as long as their stock lasts. But after that, it's gone. Sadly, I couldn't get myself a 30 ml. one. Maybe one day I'll find a lonesome bottle in a store somewhere. I'll definitely be on the look-out. I have not tried Fantomas in the summer just yet. Right now, it smells a bit like a combination of plastic and wet clay. But it has a sweet side to it, so I'm not entirely against putting it on. I'll 100% give an updated opinion on this, after I tried it out this summer! Warm days are ahead of us, so that'll be sooner then later.

I just started checking out your videos because I am a big fan of gualtieris fragrances. When I saw the picture of the tiny perfumery in Rome I thought maybe our journey with gualtieri started at the same place because it was right in that perfumery where I first got to smell niche and also some of gualtieris work. I had lived some time abroad in Rome and come back there from time to time because it became the city of my heart. I had a long and very interesting talk with the lady that day and she showed me also black afghano and seminalis. Back then I didn't feel ready for that stuff because I hadn't smelled niche at all and it seemed too artistic and provoking to me. but now after two years of smelling different niche brands I found myself buying a bottle of pardon and also recently got me a sample of seminalis which threw me back at that one day at that perfumery in rome. I think till today there is no other brand that fascinates me as much and that has such an addicting effect on me as nasomatto and orto Parisi have. I think my love for perfume will always be connected to that awesome eye (or nose?)opening experience I had at that perfumery and of course la grande bellezza di Roma ❤

I have a funny story on Duro: I'm sure you've seen those darn "disc samplers" they have? I had a Duro one and I couldn't figure out how to open it and I accidentally squeezed it and it went flying squirting all over my face! Duro was all I could smell for almost a day! 😆 Thank you guys for Silver Musk, that's what I was wearing to work the other day and I had several people asking what it was. It's low key but very crowd pleasing in general. I have to admit I struggle with patchouli so Pardon I always struggled with but other than that, I adore Baraonda, Fantomas and Blamage. Also, your speculation on jasmine with Nudiflorum would actually make sense: jasmine grandiflorum so a play on words about it, maybe?

I think the name Nudiflorum comes from the jasmin grandiFLORUM that he most likely is using. Easily a top 5 Nasomatto for me, even in the heat. It has this slightly leathery, musky and floral profile scent that is just to die for!

It's funny we all come in for "Black Afgano" and stay for your Top 3 + Fantomas 🥰 BA was an incredible groundbreaking fragrance when first released in 2009 (remember this was at the cusp of niche perfumery taking hold) but since then it's been mimicked, duped, copied a million times over....so yes, not as original, but I have to say it's the OG and for that reason alone I need it in my collection😎 Really appreciate you jumping into the conversation @Aldo89. awesome to connect👊🏽

New subscriber here and I love this channel! Have to tell you that I just blind bought Pardon. Yes, I live dangerously when it comes to buying fragrances, but blind buying is also due to necessity as the only fragrances close to me are chemist shop ones. As soon as I sprayed Pardon I said "I've got that". Found the other bottle, sprayed it, and the similarities are striking. The other bottle being Bottega Veneta Pour Homme Parfum. For mine, compared to BV, Pardon is dirtier and less sweet on the opening. I haven't worn the BV for at least 12 months as I felt it never really suited me. To me, the similar basenotes of the BV are more forward in Pardon. I'm keen to see if Pardon likes my skin oils more. What an unexpected discovery!

I own all the current Nasomatto fragrances and I can confidently say Absinth works really well on both fronts. It's between Absinth and Pardon for my best of the entire line.
I got the fragrance oil of Absinth for my little brother and it projects and holds really well, but it's still kinda a subtle smell, very clean green, forest-like but also like a basement when you get close to the skin(in a positive way), good office scent. But what i can say is, i picked it up, as i don't wear it myself but only smell it on him. Hopefully the extrait de parfum is the same, the performance is not the strongest of the nasomattos, but it's better that way for this smell, it's definitely good projection for the oil especially the longevity. The scent is definitely very interesting, a bit polarising too, since his girlfriend really does not enjoy it.

Vow loved the video and they way you explained how Nasomatto is different from other brands in how the notes behave. Love the brand. My new favorite is Fantomas, it so unique and addictive. Duro, Pardon, Black Afgano and Baraonda are equally good and are close 2nd after Fantomas in my opinion.

He would say straight up if he doesn't like an aspect of the fragrance or even more or in other cases he would say that what he is melling it's not original and really boring. Go check that channel!

Nudiflorum is just…brutal for me 😅 Gasoline and…err…poop and some very synthetic cotton candy with some flowers… I couldn’t wash it off and I had to throw away the paper strip as well and I could smell it outside the apartment in the corridor… Guess not the female boss I thought I am 😂 So the beginners out there beware I love Baraonda but other Nasomattos I tried are all a bit much for me Will revisit my opinion in a few years

Sadly, I couldn't get myself a 30 ml. one. Maybe one day I'll find a lonesome bottle in a store somewhere. I'll definitely be on the look-out.
I have not tried Fantomas in the summer just yet. Right now, it smells a bit like a combination of plastic and wet clay.
But it has a sweet side to it, so I'm not entirely against putting it on.
I'll 100% give an updated opinion on this, after I tried it out this summer! Warm days are ahead of us, so that'll be sooner then later.

Maté is a very doable drink if you are into green, bitter, astringent drinks. If you drink natural greens and straight black coffees, mate will be an easy transition. Also, 7:25 the caffeine kick from Mate is other-worldly! Great Topic, excellent choices. Cheers! 🎉🎉🎉😊

I just started checking out your videos because I am a big fan of gualtieris fragrances. When I saw the picture of the tiny perfumery in Rome I thought maybe our journey with gualtieri started at the same place because it was right in that perfumery where I first got to smell niche and also some of gualtieris work. I had lived some time abroad in Rome and come back there from time to time because it became the city of my heart. I had a long and very interesting talk with the lady that day and she showed me also black afghano and seminalis. Back then I didn't feel ready for that stuff because I hadn't smelled niche at all and it seemed too artistic and provoking to me. but now after two years of smelling different niche brands I found myself buying a bottle of pardon and also recently got me a sample of seminalis which threw me back at that one day at that perfumery in rome. I think till today there is no other brand that fascinates me as much and that has such an addicting effect on me as nasomatto and orto Parisi have. I think my love for perfume will always be connected to that awesome eye (or nose?)opening experience I had at that perfumery and of course la grande bellezza di Roma ❤

I have a funny story on Duro: I'm sure you've seen those darn "disc samplers" they have? I had a Duro one and I couldn't figure out how to open it and I accidentally squeezed it and it went flying squirting all over my face! Duro was all I could smell for almost a day! 😆 Thank you guys for Silver Musk, that's what I was wearing to work the other day and I had several people asking what it was. It's low key but very crowd pleasing in general. I have to admit I struggle with patchouli so Pardon I always struggled with but other than that, I adore Baraonda, Fantomas and Blamage. Also, your speculation on jasmine with Nudiflorum would actually make sense: jasmine grandiflorum so a play on words about it, maybe?

I think the name Nudiflorum comes from the jasmin grandiFLORUM that he most likely is using.
Easily a top 5 Nasomatto for me, even in the heat. It has this slightly leathery, musky and floral profile scent that is just to die for!

And yes jasmin grandiFLORUM makes perfect sense....hence the indolic white jasmine that I'm really picking up.

It's funny we all come in for "Black Afgano" and stay for your Top 3 + Fantomas 🥰
BA was an incredible groundbreaking fragrance when first released in 2009 (remember this was at the cusp of niche perfumery taking hold) but since then it's been mimicked, duped, copied a million times over....so yes, not as original, but I have to say it's the OG and for that reason alone I need it in my collection😎

New subscriber here and I love this channel! Have to tell you that I just blind bought Pardon. Yes, I live dangerously when it comes to buying fragrances, but blind buying is also due to necessity as the only fragrances close to me are chemist shop ones. As soon as I sprayed Pardon I said "I've got that". Found the other bottle, sprayed it, and the similarities are striking. The other bottle being Bottega Veneta Pour Homme Parfum. For mine, compared to BV, Pardon is dirtier and less sweet on the opening. I haven't worn the BV for at least 12 months as I felt it never really suited me. To me, the similar basenotes of the BV are more forward in Pardon. I'm keen to see if Pardon likes my skin oils more. What an unexpected discovery!

How's the longevity & projection on Absinth? I love absinthe frags. 🌿but I don't know if the price justifies the 30ml. bottle. (~undecideddd)
I own all the current Nasomatto fragrances and I can confidently say Absinth works really well on both fronts. It's between Absinth and Pardon for my best of the entire line.
I got the fragrance oil of Absinth for my little brother and it projects and holds really well, but it's still kinda a subtle smell, very clean green, forest-like but also like a basement when you get close to the skin(in a positive way), good office scent. But what i can say is, i picked it up, as i don't wear it myself but only smell it on him. Hopefully the extrait de parfum is the same, the performance is not the strongest of the nasomattos, but it's better that way for this smell, it's definitely good projection for the oil especially the longevity. The scent is definitely very interesting, a bit polarising too, since his girlfriend really does not enjoy it.

Vow loved the video and they way you explained how Nasomatto is different from other brands in how the notes behave. Love the brand. My new favorite is Fantomas, it so unique and addictive. Duro, Pardon, Black Afgano and Baraonda are equally good and are close 2nd after Fantomas in my opinion.
I've just discovered that you're a 5 Star General Dheera! 😎 Fantomas is such a polarising fragrance that you have to be awarded the medal for this🎖️
A lot of people dismiss it (or hate it) but I agree with you; this fragrance is incredible on skin and creates the most unique scent cloud that I haven't experienced with any other fragrance♥️

also nassomato is a house i truly adore but i would encourage you to try out more from the house of profumum roma. i have seen the video with josh and ejoyed it but you should definitely reach out for the other creations of the house like patchouly , ambra aurea and acqua viva (for the summer time sneaking by)
