I love how DM Scotty uses household materials instead of buying everything from a specialist store, but he makes everything look great through his own ingenuity.

This video is the one that inspired me to buy a pack of cheapo plastic forks. They've yet to be used for tents like this but eventually will. I did use some on an Orc ship I built and they also make some great giant crossbows. More uses to come but they have that great bone look to them.

Thank you Scotty, that helped me immensely! I needed that for the knight in the part. Although, I think I will cut the inside cardboard, but leave the top, sides, and middle.portion or glue the top and side parts to a pencil and use it as the support post and on the inside do a layer of paper towels to hide it.

Definitely Orky the boyz would use that for sure, even in the world of 40K I can see the Space Orks using something like this since their stuff is usually ramshakle and junky looking so I can totally see them using this kind of tent and the tusks too. Mork and Gork would definitely approve of it for a Waagh.

Wow, so easy, cheap, and awesome! Quick question though, my paper towels aren't hardening quite how I like them. I used 2-Ply towels, would you imagine that 1 ply or different towels might harden better?

    • @theDMsCraft

They can take some time to fully harden....several coats of glue can help also.

brilliant build Scotty - definitely building these for GuildBall.
you also inspired me to buy a glue gun! my first, my preciouuuussss. however - any chance you might do a quick quide as to when you use the hot glue gun vs PVA as I see you swapping between the two for various jobs. first and foremost i'm guessing anything that might melt is not hot glue friendly, but is there anything else that's not great from a more 'chemical' point of view?
