    Great informative video. Thank you!
    Before I did the repair, I checked with RING, and apparently I had an extended warranty. They're shipping me a new unit..."For Free"! Make the call before you do the repair.

      How many years warranty on the product.?

    It worked but the diagram doesn’t have the white wires all coming together with the white house wire. However, someone graciously added this to the comments section and after doing this the lights come on now. Thanks so much!!!!

    Thank you for this! Not only do my lights work again, but they're much brighter than before! (2 250W LED bulbs).

    Good video. The tools were great to watch. Scissors LOL. I am doing the same thing 40 buck for the new light to harvest for the ring setup.. I would never pay for a replacement. I would not even get a replacement.

    How can you known if the red wire from the camera module can handle the current to light the two floodlights directly, wouldn't it be better if you used a relay circuit

  • @ragtoy99
    @ragtoy99 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Tnisesm 2PCS Power Relay SPST(1 NO) AC120V Coil, 30A SPST 120 VAC from Amazon. I used a relay to protect the ring camera 22 gauge wire from being over loaded. You don't want to burn up the ring camera module circuitry. Working great with two night chaser bulbs from Amazon too

    Do the fixtures you use as the replacement have to be motion activated? I have some normal floodlights laying around in the shop and would like to know if I can just use them. Thanks

      The wiring diagram at the end of the video isn’t completely intuitive. The white sensor and two white floodlight lines all need to be tied into the white power line. When I did this everything worked as if it were a new unit out of the box.

      @@Telmenni I’m going off memory but the black wire from the sensor is spliced directly into the house black wire. The red sensor wire is spliced with the two black wires from the lights. The white sensor wire, two white wires from the lights and house white wire are all spliced together.

      I have to make a call to talk to them. I heard they won't fix it or offer a replacement, but instead they offer a discount. Definitely not going to be happy if they offer that. What's the point of the warranty if they don't make it right?

  • @anthonymaroulis8877
    @anthonymaroulis8877 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    If after you attempted this and your lights stay on then you may have wired it incorrectly. The red wire from the camera is essentially the on/off switch. When the sensor is triggered then power is sent to the source to turn on. I am unable to upload a diagram but generally speaking connect the 2 black wires from the lights together and the red together. Do not connect the black wires to the black wire from the AC source.
