While I learned fly casting, even for trout, I've learned that less is more. My casting really took off when I stopped trying so hard. Great video!
@@Eclipse1988 Thanks for watching.
Every now and then I´ll come back to watch this video. I really makes me a better coastal fly caster. Thank you!
Thanks for being here....again.
Like so many other things in life if you get good at something it is much less tiring than if you are bad at it. Good stuff Brian, keep it coming.
Thanks for watching.
Thank you for all your tips. I'm learning so much from watching your channel. Like Butter.
Thanks for being here!
Slow is smooth, and smooth is fast. That's what an old football coach told me once doing footwork drills.
It crosses over to many things. thanks for watching.
Learned that in the Army.
@@Hootee19 I regret rejecting the army.
Great tip. As a saltwater fly fisher; the double-haul is a necessary tool. Doing it efficiently is necessary.
Efficiency is everything! Thanks for watching.
I remember that line in a movie with mark wahlberg, the guy is a sniper and is teaching another guy to aim and shoot:"slow is smooth, smooth is fast". Great video!!
Thanks for watching!!!
Thats Days of Thunder. Robert Duvall says it to Tom cruise

Hello from Kentucky a lot of my family lives in the Middle town area of Ohio beautiful State I must say to visit. I just Subbed and been watching the series here Fly Casting on Episode 10 at the moment I haven't fly fished in 25yrs I use to chase Smallies to Muskie here in the Eastern rivers of Ky and trout below Wolf creek Dam on Cumberland River. I'm getting back into fly fishing and my son as well he picked
up his first setup I also sent him a link to your Channel. I loved it but very rusty to say the least LOL and from watching your videos been doing more wrong than right when I thought I was good. I would like to thank you for taking the time and giving us tips and lessons and explaining and so easy to understand. Have a Great day and many catches

I really enjoy all of
Brian’s videos and his light-hearted approach to the business of fishing, but I am frustrated; I still cannot figure out how to slice hot butter!
Thanks for watching. Feel free to give him a call. He'll be happy to help.
Awesome instruction, great techniques. btw I'll take a chinburn over a noseburn any day, lol
Thanks for watching.
great video poor Travis what video lol
Thanks for watching.
Are your rod guides set at the 9 o’clock position? Is this to help with a specific cast? Thanks for always keeping it simple and easy to process.
Please send your questions over to Brian at the shop and he'll be happy to answer. E-mail him or give him a call. Thanks.
I cant stop thinking about why the guy is poling while having the trolling motor engaged...is this a thing in the south?
Was simply to keep the boat in position for filming this video.
@@Madriveroutfitters that was the only thing I could come up with! Thank you!
You mention stopping the cast. I seem to struggle with a soft presentation when sight casting to fish with a weighted fly. I found the other day if I let the line decelerate more slowly, by letting line slip through my hand, I didn't get that hard plop of the fly turning over. I am sure this isn't proper, so what could help landing those weighted carp flies softly? My initial thoughts are to better match my line speed with the distance I am casting.
Thanks for watching. Please e-mail those questions over to Brian directly and he'll be happy to help.....or give him a call.
Are the guides on that rod 90deg off from the reel? Might be my eyes but it sure looks that way.
Also what rod is that? Looks a custom job?
Thanks for watching. Please send your questions directly to Brian at the shop and he’ll be happy to answer.
noticed the same
cow grease! Thats mine by the way no Tshirts lol
Thanks for watching.
What do you suggest for a beginner fly fishing when it comes to clothes and more? Like boots if needed and more?
Please contact the shop directly with your questions and they will be happy to help. That's what they do! Thanks.
@@Madriveroutfitters okay thank you
what sunglasses are you wearing?
Sorry we don't have that information here. Feel free to call or e-mail Brian though directly through the shop and he will be happy to share. He should know......we assume.
whats the clip on ur hat? holds neck gator?
It's his lanyard for his glasses. Just got buggered up there. He didn't have a mirror on the boat to primp up first.
Still waiting for the story of why the streamer named SEX DRAGON is called a SEX DRAGON, come on its my favorite streamer...I gots to know.
Contact Kelly Galloup directly. Brian is under oath not to share the story.
