Our new 4 lane H.O. Slot car Track

Always wanted back into the hobby, and I have a gf who is as nutty as I am for over a year now, so I didn't need an evil plan after all LOL! Basically, we taught each other framing, and built two solid 4 x 8 tables after Dad's basement had a small flood. It's ~65 ft per lane, 4 lanes of mostly TOMY / AFX H.O track, and currently just needs me to finish the #VIASUE and #RaceCoordinator timing system. Should happen soon because it debuts with friends June 12 -2022. Anyway, here's the very first run of the blue lane with a MIATA (of course)

Criss Cross just adds a new element of awareness. Just like racing with "fuel" its no longer just race until the clock runs out but now just how far/fast can I push it! Its your track race it how you like it! By the way, what camera are you using? Keep it in the slot!

Very nice track. Is your track 16 feet long, did you use the full length of the two 8 foot tables. Also how wide is your track?

Fifty years of building tracks, I never understood the crossover track, it's just to cause crashes?
Other than that it's a great track

Long gone, as is the squeeze track, but it was just another piece at the time.

very nice except for criss cross tracks- no way man. (grin) Honestly that ruins the race experience of a nice track as you already have inside and outside lanes with the switch backs of the design - remove those asap! lol (rotate lanes for even races)
