Chicago Jay here. I have a 1951 Hudson Hornet style 2 door shell. I do mean shell. Rescued from crusher and will be doing a complete Street Rod build. Somewhat traditional in that it will be a Lead Sled created in 2022. Car will be immediately recognized as a Hudson with all those things the factory should have done. It will take years but hsve the 440 Mopar a Hipster Torbo 400 Street Fighter all matched up with an explosion proof bellhousing adapter, a chrome molly adapter flywheel with ring gear. Mopar stater. Moyor will get a 440 Source stroker. The Ford truck 9 inch is under the bench that will get slung on a 4 link. Front will be cut off infrint of firewall and a complete Scott's front frame with the power rack n pinion. Hope to not only chop top but also pancake roof n hood. Car will be raced very often in Pro Brackett Class at the Drags. Interior is out of Chrysler 300 and will get new Catskin leather latter. Dash will be as IS but newer gauge clusters filling yhe two large holes in front of driver. All handles will be shaved and doors snd trunk will have poppers. Motor will be built to near break the stock block that latter will be upgraded to a race block and the Pro blower will get spun faster then. Oh did I mention ProBlower. Yes and crank driven if possible. Today's Street rods need 12 inch tire and 1,000 HP to gain any respect. Factory Blocks about done at 750 hp. Wish me luck, what work I can not fo in chopping/pancaking will gp to a good body man that realizes sheet metal work is an attainable skill and chopping a car I'd not 20 grand of art work you do not already know how to do and expect Car Enthusiasts to pay you time n material as you learn. 😀 shop owners deserve a good living but they need to be proficient in their craft. If I do not get it done fast enough it just goes electric. Bone yards hot Rodgers can go electric and fast in Classic Rides. Keep up the good work watching the 52 Merc chop The Hudson has a great look too done correctly. Back and front glass is better looking andbits more of a boat in over all design flow. My spelling...not waisting time on spell check. If you can find all the grammar and spelling errors I ll hire you as a secretary and pay you minimum wage.
Chop it up bro😁💯
