    Love Ghoti so much! The only deck left that I really want to make! I’m still debating over wether I’ll play them pure or with Myutants as I really enjoy both builds but I love these fish so much

    The way ixeep is worded if it sees a fish banish it summons regardless of the turn. So ixeep can be summoned on your opponents turn for recovery when you are getting hand trapped during yours. Ixeep is a three of. If you are not going to play ghoti traps I agree with the cutting of Eanoc and if you are going to continue to play the traps Eanoc at one is fine it’s searchable. The abyss shark gives multiple combos with leaffish as you’ve already said but toad by fifth summon with the synchro set up for next turn is possible with the correct hand frequently. Other than that hand trap heavy seems scary unless you are forced to go second continuously. But the deck was definitely built well good job man

    I love the list, it reminds me of my first post-DABL list. Funny enough I got 3-1-1 with my first local using mine. Its an extremely fun deck with a unique playstyle!

    What would you swap pot of desires for in this build? I sadly don’t own any myself but was thinking moray of avarice would work with this. Love this deck so much so glad the deck is a actual working deck and not a shell

    • @chuchojuarez95
      @chuchojuarez95 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      bruh, please consider investing in a playset of "pot of desires." It's worth it as a staple inexpensive draw card for certain decks with multiple copies (e.g., salads, gothi, etc.). I'm confident you can even figure out a trade

    • @PepperTCG
      @PepperTCG  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would replace it Beautunaful Princess if you have that, or Piri Ries Map. But pot of desires is kind of an irreplacable card for what it does.
      I think moray is held back by being situational and that the only fish you want to banish are the lvl 2 tuners. The problem with that is that you pretty much need to use Paces to summon from hand and Shif you never want on the field turn one anyway unless your hand is really bad. Both of these monsters also require the use of your normal summon. Desires lets you draw 2 without having to make any awkward sacrifices to your setups.

    Cause you can negate with dark ruler set uo everything for next turn when your opponent will have againt the effects of the monsters. Nice explanation

    Did you miss the instant / ready fusions as extenders?, you got me hooked on them from the last video.
    Also, did you test out crossout in the deck yet? its insane to banish your tuners on EP for free stuff on the following SBP.
    Excellent video, excellent explanations, thank you for the chapters and the effort you gave =)

    • @PepperTCG
      @PepperTCG  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I probably will put the ready/instant fusions back in in place of the cards I wanted to take out in this video.
      Crossout is good too if you run lots of handtraps like I did for being a gold sarc + protection, I just couldn't find space for it but I do want to try it out.

  • @soup6924

    Really good breakdown of your deck! What did people tend to side against you? I'm wondering if Shadow Imprisoning Mirror might be good in the side instead of D Barrier, since it turns off Tears and Sprights while potentially lasting longer.

    • @PepperTCG
      @PepperTCG  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a pretty good option I think. I don't have those so I haven't thought of it before. I have no clue what people sided against me tbh, never really saw any cards from my opponents that wouldn't just be main deck cards.

  • @343GuiltyBlaze
    @343GuiltyBlaze ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Question as a Ghoti enthusiast:
    Is there a reason you ran desires instead of Moray of Avarice? I feel like that card, at least surface level, does the same thing with much less cost (or even a net positive in some cases.)

    • @PepperTCG
      @PepperTCG  ปีที่แล้ว

      Desires can just be activated during any gamestate before you commit to any plays. I don't like avarice because it requires you to commit to the board, usually a normal summon, and is only good for banishing the lvl 2 tuners. If leaffish is your only starter in hand you really don't want to banish that because you are left with no board presence to follow. Avarice can technically be better a small fraction of the time, but desires is always good in any gamestate. Or if you have no fish in hand at all, desires can let you draw into them, where avarice would be a dead card.

  • @nebula6053
    @nebula6053 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Very cool breakdown, love it!
    What are your thoughts on bysstial package? You got these bodies to synchro summon.
    And what about crossout?

    • @PepperTCG
      @PepperTCG  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They crossed my mind and seem powerful for helping with synchros, the only issue is that this deck has no light/dark monsters in engine so they are completely reliant on your opponent having light/darks. Which is pretty common these days but for weird matchups they can be stuck in your hand since we don't have any enablers. Crossout also very good if you run lots of handtraps and have the space for it.

    • @nebula6053
      @nebula6053 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PepperTCG Very cool. I was playing with Draco-utopian Aura today in this deck and it scooped tearlaments instantly by taking it. Also sometimes it can unbrick your small fishes in hand and going 2nd is also fine with this card. Maybe considering playing this card instead of fury?

  • @LG22475
    @LG22475 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    What are your thoughts on Mermaid Shark? It is essentially a one cards combo that gets you to the usual Ghoti board or an extender like Ixeep. 1.NS Mermaid, 2. Search Abyss Shark, 3. SS Abyss Shark, 4. Search Leafish, 5. Link Mermaid and Abyss into Abyss keeper, 6. Use Keeper's effect to SS Leafish, 7. Leafish dumps Shif, ect. Yes, Mermaid Shark can get Ashed but if it resolves you get an extra body on board.

  • @valantin7293

    Great deck profile ! just quick question, I wonder what am missing when you say "leafish is full combo". you mean leafish effect to foolish shif, shif effect to banish. then opponent turn you go arionpos banish zep into askaan ? or is there smth else ? ty !

    • @PepperTCG
      @PepperTCG  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s what I meant when I said that, although leaffish technically isn’t “full combo” because it doesn’t go into Deep Beyond by itself. But leaffish is the best enabler for the deck because it’s like 90% of the full combo

    Great vid bro! Im just missing the new stuff to get started.
    Have u had the issue where people go to BP to run over one of the tuners so they can combo in mp2? Seems like a very easy way to stop the deck from going into Deep beyond

    • @ruggibro
      @ruggibro 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can trigger tuner synchs at the end of their main phase (doesn't have to be a chain)

    • @PepperTCG
      @PepperTCG  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That does happen sometimes, but they need to commit at least 2 monsters on the board to kill both tuners, so you can deep beyond at the end of main and now they have an empty board with less resources in hand

    • @PepperTCG
      @PepperTCG  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The deck is pretty cheap for IRL cards (except Baronne) so it wouldn't really be much different. This list would pretty much be a whale version of the deck.
      Only differences I could think of would be running Pot of Prosperity over Desires, then cutting down a little on the tuner ratios and adding the supay duskwalker engine.

  • @Sterl500
    @Sterl500 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Would you consider Aloof Lupine to be a decent normal summon for this deck as a play starter? I can see a few problems with it since it requires a second card in hand, but it sets up a full synchro combo by itself if you banish a Paces or a Shif from the hand and then the one you didn't do from the hand from the deck. It's also vulnerable to stuff like Imperm, but because it banishes from the hand for cost, you still get value out of it.

    I play 3 Snopios and 2 Paces, 3 Shif, 3 Zep, 1 Ixeep, 3 Leaffish, 3 Princess, 3 Abyss Shark, 1 Angler and 1 Minaikura (new TCG exclusive).
