A Masterpiece. One of the best movies I’ve ever seen.
True passion for his profession, amazing artist!
Anyone after "IKIGAI"
Yup. Just finished it today morning!! ❤️
Yeah as soon as I finished that chapter.
Do check out the kingdom of dreams and madness.
Yup
Meee...reading it currently
This is the best thing you'll ever watch in your whole life, guaranteed!
Big mistake of netflix lost this best documentary to Amazon
Coming here after going through page -75, chapter - sophisticated simplicity, third para, first line of the book "IKIGAI" by Hector Garcia and Francesc Miralkes.👌🕵️
I personally loved this documentary, espacially compared to "King Georges" since you learned a lot more about the process and the thought behind the food, not the story of the restaurant. It's sad that it is temporary not available on Netflix. Would love to see much more documtentaries beeing centered around cooking and not the history of the chefs.
i love the food that is prepared with love
This is so wholesome
I ate here, it’s even better in person. The most memorable restaurant experience I have ever had
Left Hand sushi genius, japanese people thank you for your skills, this inspires all of us
This was pretty much the very first chef's table episode
This is a true SENSEI 🧎♀️
A true MASTER
Good movie, but ‘Jiro Nightmares of Assrape’ is even better.

yesss!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi
After 7 years😊😊😊
Can I still watch this in Netflix?
I was expecting way more comments!
So is this origin story to ‘Nightmares of ass rape’ ?
What you mean? Can you explain that more?
@@emiogawa86 it's a reference to a Norm MacDonald joke.
all this sushi thing is a magic thing. You have to show everyone before there eyes of what you trully do: by preparing and eating sushi they show everyone that they enjoy raw meat. Human meat
what is the summary of the documentary and what are your personal thoughts regarding the documentar! i wanna hear your thoughts!!!
The dedication, passion and hardwork showcased in this documentary is commendable. One of the best documentaries on Japanese food that I've ever seen. It's beautiful and inspirational. You should definitely watch it.
Pradeepta R. Khaling totally agree! this documentary is amazing!
This isnt a documentary about food. Its a documentary about human excellence. Where it comes from and how it is achieved. Sometimes high art comes in the most inauspiscious places. Even something as small as sushi can be an artform, and some rice and a fillet of fish can be a masterpiece.
안녕하신지요
Saiu do catálogo?
Agora tá na Amazon prime
that’ll be 1450$ gaijins
One of the most popular documentaries on Netflix is "Jiro Dreams of Sushi." One of the least popular documentaries? "Jiro Nightmares of Ass Rape."

@@notkhushaal1322 hello
Netflix 2012? 🧐
Hello
I'm hungry
Searched on Netflix 30 seconds ago, and it is not on Netflix. No wonder their stock price keeps falling.
Saddens me I will probably never be able to eat at his restaurant
Jiro’s son runs a Roppongi branch and Daisuke Nakazawa, the guy who slaved away over the nori and related that story of learning to make tamagoyaki, he now has restaurants in New York and DC. But a trip to that restaurant will still run you $150-180.
Can someone tell me how to watch this, I’ve tried VPN from like 25 countries and I’m not buying a f**** DVD
Rent it from a library. Libraries have every movie under the sun available. And you’ve already paid for it with your tax dollars. It’s one of the few good things that taxes pay for lol.
Try philippines vpn
Why is it taken offf???
They do that with almost everything that isn't a netflix original after a few years.
anyone here after Andrew Schulz on Bobby Lee's podcast?
Andrew Schulz is a typical male Karen.
yeah.. but not after bobby lee's.. after flagrant 2... 😁
This movie is not on Netflix. Liars.
it is you dumb whiteboy
I'm not a fan of seafood at all. I've never tried sushi because if cooked fish doesn't appeal to me I seriously doubt raw fish would either, but after watching this documentary and seeing this man do what he does like that.....I honestly think I'd go to his restaurant and try sushi if I'm ever in Tokyo
It's incredibly difficult to get a spot at his restaurant, there's only 10 seats in his restaurant and reservation aren't available to the general public.
@@Cubi.Nguyen really? Who are his customers then?
cuz your white fool.
@@michaelkavanagh932 From what I've read, the restaurant used to be available to the general public, even though it was difficult to get in. (as in calling a reservation there would be a several month waiting period). But for the past couple of years now, the restaurant only takes people through three different ways. One, you would have to be a regular customer who had been going for years already. Two, you need to have special connections to get in. And three, if you are a tourist or whatever, you can only make a reservation through a concierge at a specific 5-star hotel. I don't know which hotel though.......
Imagine never having had sushi and going to HIS restaurant 😂😂😂.” I’ll have a California roll and a avacodo maki please”
Andrew Schulz said he ate here and it was almost inedible it was so bad lol. Had to look it up.
Soon...all the tuna r gone...nothing left to dream about
shaddup soy boy

relax karen before you get hurt
Locals don’t eat there Netflix hyped up a tourist trap
youre just cheap
Juan Likes Rice and Chicken

I think we should not see this as a restaurant anymore. A food that can’t be tasted by 99% of the population isn’t really food. And no matter how good it is, it’s nothing but pictures and words. Don’t get me wrong, I think he’s a amazing man, but I don’t think of him as a chef, I see him more like some sort of artist.
Why can a chef not be an artist?
am asking the huge Netflix crew to produce a series based on the Assassin Creed movie. Greetings, and thank you
not in Netflix anymore
It's there.
@@samdouglas7538 install vpn and see from other countries. I am from India so it's available here.
I found this movie incredibly sad. Yes he is a master, yes he has made this tremendous achievement, but I couldn't help but get the sense that he sacrificed a full life for it. At least, that's what I would be thinking if I were in his shoes.
This is his life. He chose to live it this way. Man is satisfied and content with his life. Be happy for this man
what else do you think he'd rather be doing? I think he's living his dream, and with how successful he is I'm sure he's very well off. he spent a life mastering his craft, and he's universally accepted as the master of that craft. and even his family seems happy, healthy and both his sons take after his success and work ethic. what else could you want in life?
@@Jack-rk7jc For me, it was travelling. Challenging myself to try new things, even if they're scary and new. I'm especially realizing this as I get older. Go volunteer to pull invasive species from a marsh with a group of strangers. Take a night course to learn a new language. Teach yourself to play an instrument and join a band and play some gigs in front of a crowd. My expertise is drawing, and I try to get better at that through my career, but I don't want to live my life with tunnel vision. I don't want to assume that he NEVER gets out for a night on the town or anything like that, but that's kind of the way the doc portrays him. As the old adage goes, it's better to regret something you have done than something you haven't done. Anyway, that's my opinion. Yours may differ!

He's now 92 years of age, what's more do you expect from him?
I see your point. But he's Japanese and 95 yo and a recluse, so I give him a break on that one.
