This was so cool to watch and see the beginnings to the end of the creation of just ONE page. It's amazing. I have such a new found appreciation for the creation of comics and all the hard work that must go into them. Thank you for posting this, on top of all the other work you do!
You're actually loud and clear despite the background noise, so all good! Good stuff, it's awesome to see you at work, and thanks for sharing your knowledge and insight into the industry! Thank you for letting us into your world of Siyanimation and beyond!
Its very rare that you come across someone that is highly skilled and multi talented in all areas of comic making. Im intrigued about this comic now after knowing all the hard work thats put into it.
Was so stoked after watching this, I went and re-watched all the videos on the channel ("happy little crows" never fails to invoke a smile). Now I'm going to re-read some Lola xoxo... It's been a good day!!
if people dont like it they're bereft ....your work and generosity are very inspiring for me to get working on my own stuff. you are killing it. and very kind to show us behind the scenes.
Welcome back to TH-cam!!!! I was so happy to see this video pop up in my feed! I’m so happy to see how you create a comic page from start to finish, it’s like a dream of mine came true!!! Thank you so much for the upload!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm excited to see you having worked on something totally your own and involving yourself horizontally across the project. I am also excited to see that we use some of the same materials XD.
Glad to see you post again ! Loved the video, it's always so interesting to see your process, I always loved the fact that you stick to traditionnal colors, it goes so well with your pencils and ink !
I just found the motivation to mess around with aquarelle but I can't seem to get the paint to water ratio correct so my paper keeps bending. I decided to finish the drawing with aquarelle pencils and just go over it with a slightly wet brush, which for a beginner like me turns out surprisingly well. Pieces like this are the goal. Absolutely amazing and these videos are well appreciated. It's probably my favourite medium.
I know right?! The non-warping paper once you start adding water is a goal. I'm glad it worked out for you, because I know it took a lot of experimenting to get where I'm not cringing as much hahaha. Thank you for your comment!
Thank you so much for sharing. I've been wanting to start drawing comics again for years but never got around to it. This has given me a much needed kick up the rear end 🙂
Was all set up to work on my comic story I am working on when I saw this video was up. I was responsible and cursed at laptop for about an hour trying to unravel some tangles with my story then I decided to watch and enjoy your video
Hahaha, I know the feeling! The only saving grace for productivity is the fact that I have to listen to my audio in order to finish a video, or else I'd be on TH-cam all day everyday.
Omg. So cool. I love watching your videos. I usually watch them many times. This is awesome. Oh ya and don’t worry about the outside noise level. I’m so into watching and listen to you draw I don’t even know it’s there until you point it out. It’s just so nice to see more celebrity artists doing more videos of them doing actual live drawings and layouts. Thank you so much. I can’t wait to show this to my fellow artists. Keep up the phenomenal work.
just finished watching!! i miss inking and working traditionally so much. i stopped arting for 15 years and it's been a struggle getting back into it. but i just have to keep practicing ;D thank you so much for this amazing video! it's a wonderful inspiration! stay safe 💖💖💖
@@CelilasArt I know how you feel, getting started is the toughest part. Besides, I buy too many supplies that I get distracted and want to use EVERYTHING all at once, haha.
I am sure you get this a lot Siya, but this impressive work. May I ask how you get the perspective down so well? You just appeared to draw the characters out of thin air, no model reference but the rough drawing you did.
Another great video, Siya. Unfortunately you did jump over the pencils. Do you have a video showing the pencil process in detail for one of your pages or planned to show this in a video soon?
I can do a video with just the penciling for a newer page soon. I have a few videos that show the stages for pencilling, but it's not from Lola XOXO, please let me know if the Lady Mechanika one isn't comprehensive enough. I will definitely make one soon after the next two episodes launch. Thanks so much for your feedback!
Thank you for your fast feedback @@SiyaOum Much appreciated! The other videos are great and the Lady Mechanika one is great to... but I can not get enough pencil stage comic creation videos showing your process. :) Information about your thought process on how you nail anatomy so perfectly or if you are using any ref material for the birds, etc. would be great. There always is something special watching other artists doing complete comic pages compared to "only" sketches or pinups. Thx for doing the vids!
Thank you so much for making this! It's mesmerizing to watch it all coming together! Beautiful work! Just wondering have you tried using a hair dryer to speed up the watercolor drying process? Also is that sumi ink waterproof? :0 I've been looking for a waterproof sumi ink for while
I haven't used it yet for pages because the watercolors dries fairly quick, and I jump around from Copics to watercolors. If I were to have more time, or I'm working on a cover, it's a great way to go. Thank you so much for taking the time out to watch!
I just got issue #1 volume 1 to read, as your art looks good enough for me to have pulled the trigger on a purchase. Question: are the interiors done with Copics? Because it looks that way. Thank you so much for your support! Yes, the whole series was done with Copics, and the later issues had more watercolor.
What is that your using to ink with? A nib?
Yep it's a nib, The 512 Hunt.
do you do the script yourself as well?
I do. 😊
This is good art but I'm not familiar with the comic. Why does she have wings in one panel but not in the other, or is that a diff character?
It is a dream sequence that throws back to the first page of the first issue, volume 1. Thank you so much for asking!
where you from?
