Funny thing is watercolor is the medium I use the most I use alot of others too but I just recently started to get into COPIC markers! I’m enjoying them but they are expensive and i find myself having a harder time justifying spending so much money on them when I can technically do it all with paint. You mentioning mixing the too is a good idea tho.
Traditional approach this day and age is so very refreshing to see! So incredibly happy I've stumbled across your channel. I remember when markers for art were invented but never really tried them. What still intrigues me is the backgrounds… I mean this one in particular is so simple yet amazing I can’t help but think of start trying watercolors for the process which is something I never considered due to the fact I’ve always used copics for the whole piece which might be the reason why I have so much struggle trying to make the drawing mix well with the characters. Thanks for this awesome video.
I used Copics for the longest time on everything as well. It was time consuming and expensive to do it that way, so I slowly incorporated watercolors. I don't use Copics at all at the moment. It's fun to challenge myself with mediums like watercolors to mix well and with sharper edges where desired. Good luck and thanks so much!

"Lelu Multipass :D" Such a good movie. This is really a nice piece of artwork as well. I think I am improving with control (watercolors), so I can feel better about adding more of it to my own artwork. Pen and ink is where things happen for me mostly.

Hi Siya. Fantastic art can I just ask did you use only RV11 for lips or tongue or was there another colour in there .I would appreciate your advice as I would like to improve the way I colour . Thank you
I usually use at two colors for lips, a mid tone, dark tone, and light tone. It can be just about any color so long as they have a different lightness and darkness value. i.e. (less than / greater than_ RV06 , RV11, RV20. Something like that.

Whenever I’ve tried markers with watercolor it always ruins my work, I get this ugly bleed-through if the watercolor touches the marker, and it must be how I’m applying it because I’ve seen several others pull this off without the ugly effect I’m getting

Is "baby-skin pink" an actual "color name"? I'm generally not a super-PC person or anything, perhaps even slightly more likely of being accused of being rude and un-PC even though I don't do it deliberately, but to avoid.... but I guess non-white people may be somewhat bothered by such color name. Pig-skin pink perhaps would be safer, even though perhaps also infuriating to some white people and maybe vegetarians.

You should try Tombows, they're better imo and less expensive. Especially if you enjoy water colors.

I do a bit of both, all depends on piece of art. Especially, if it is based on an actual character.
