Just a tip: whenever you're getting ready to reset the 3-day-cycle, unless you're literally about to run out of time, you should use the song of soaring to go back to clock town and deposit all your rupees in the bank first. Rupees, ammo, and the contents of bottles all disappear when you play the song of time, but the bank will still keep track of the rupees in your account
That poor Goron saw the hero come back to life, punch his frozen brother, and then freeze up and die again infront of him. Big man must be thinking he's having a fever dream.
Pro tip: when the game says "can't you see it?" You have an item to let you see Also: when you hear someone lament that they "regret," you have a song that heals. There was a guy you missed in a previous episode because you didn't heal his sorrows
Continuing with the "Stages of Grief" theming throughout the game. The Snowhead area is representative of the stage of Bargaining. The Gorons, rather than moving to a warmer climate where they'd be safe, would rather simply beg for their fallen hero Darmani to return and solve all of their problems.

After the events of oot, Zelda reverts you back to a child so you can have a childhood and causing the timeline split. Link snitches on Ganon about his plans and Zelda gives him the ocarina as a reward/gift.
You've got to fill the map screen with all 24 masks (you've suffered a terrible fate... by promising 100%). And you're absolutely right, the puzzles in the games do get easier after this one.
You get extra mini-dungeons if you collect all masks so worth worth it. And yes, I always find the goron area most confusing (especially resets for the stressful sword and race-bomb-licence time limits). Gets less confusing later in the game definitely.
Quick advice: get all the fairies in the snow temple, you get an incredibly useful reward, just use the lens of truth a lot, because the fairies in the next dungeon can be difficult to spot without it.
Hey! I was late for the last video (and a little for this one), but here is a piece of advice that you must always keep with you. When in doubt, PLAY THE SONG OF HEALING! Weird man dancing on a mushroom? Song of Healing. Random guy who doesn't seem to have any importance to the story? Song of Healing. Guy who's half human, half not? Song of Healing. This will not always work, but just be aware. And remember what's in your inventory. Unlike the sidequest in OOT, these masks do something and serve a purpose. Also, the Bombers book or whatever is your best friend.
I love rolling around as a round boi. I usually start every 3 day period by rolling around the town through all the grass patches to fill up on consumables like arrows and bombs. It's cheaper than buying and ensures I don't get stuck somewhere because I haven't picked up what I need.
The Goron is great. It’s nice just to travel around Termina Field looking for stuff. Speaking of looking for stuff. - Go play the Maze game back in town as a goron. - The Don Gero Mask will help you once you visit most of the game. When you bring back Spring at the Village. Go look for those frogs you seen in your travels. One is at the Pool. One is at the swamp by some orange flowers. One is the mini boss inside Woodfall Temple. And the last one is somewhere west. Good luck. - Don’t forget about the Butterflies around the field. There are secrets under where they flutter. - At the Town Inn. Talk to Anju between 2:00PM and 4:00PM as a Goron. She’ll mistake you as the other Goron and give you a key to the Room upstairs. Go in your room for some treasure. I’m glad you like this game. I especially love the Goron. They’re so cool.
Hey, the blue-haired boy whose house you're attempting to get into is a vital character in a side-quest. He's connected to Anju, the innkeeper, so start her quest to find out more about him. Regarding Snowhead's blizzard, use the Lens of Truth as your third eye, lol. It'll show you what you can't see. I think you'll really like what the source ends up being. ;)
@@QuinBoBin Hey Quin, this is a long quest but worth it. Don’t want to spoil anything but be prepared to spend some on this one and do some investigation. I had done this one in the past and when I replayed this game recently, it took me a couple tries to get it right.
TH-cam: Quinbobin has uploaded two videos! Me: *shoves aside taxes work in excitement* TH-cam: jk it's only one and we're bugged again Me: BETRAYAL!.... But at least now it's still a good evening!
I love your videos, dude! I also started playing this game 3 weeks ago, considering it has been 6 years since I last played it. Taking a break because I'm focusing on another game at the moment. But I'm up to the same point as you with the Gorons.
Regarding the puzzles and knowing what to do next. When you know the answers you can point out the hints or lines of phrases they use telling you how to solve the puzzle or how to progress. But if you don't already know the answers I am not sure how easy it is to pick up the hints they are trying to drop. Some of these areas where you try to brute force your way through you sometimes still have the ability to progress already you're just not using the correct item or sequence. And that is to be expected for a first playthrough. I think sometimes as the viewer we forget what it was like on our first playthrough. And that figuring things out and progressing is a process.
Your gonna need to defeat the next temple to get the ability to destroy large boulders by the way. After a small sidequest obviously. Just remember its in the Goron village, in an entrance encased in ice on a ledge that you can reach. Another note. Yes, you can fill up that entire screen full of masks, and you need to, to 100 % the game. Though one mask will be unavailable to you until right at the end of the game, which is unlocked only by having all the masks. Hopefully no one spoils it for you. ITS SICK. (The location of it is in the bottom right corner, that little round spot on the mask subscreen.)
Theres 24 masks in the game, you get 23 throughout the game normally including side quests. The 24th mask is a reward if you do every puzzle in a special final area of the game
So a couple of tips: Before attempting the temple, your going to want to restart to day 1 and use slow time. The temple is a huge jump up in difficulty from the swamp and you can easily run out of time if you get lost, and running out of time means doing the whole thing over again, youll probably also want to pack a fairy and green potion. Also to get to the Ranch, you need the special bomb from the goron in clock town. He'll only give it to you after a sidequest in goron village. After you beat the temple, Look for a cave behind the village entrance, you might have enough time left to beat it. If you run out of time after beating the temple, youll have to beat the boss again in the reset to do the side quest(this side quest, also unlocks another sidequest that lets you permanantly upgrade your sword, a side sidequest). To get epona you need to get to the Ranch on Day 1, if you get their by night time its too late.
Don't know if anyone told you, but in Ocarina, you could use the eye of truth to beat the Treasure chest minigame in castle town(lets you see inside) but yeah, thats like the only fun thing you can do with it.
Yup, punching the boulder blocking Romani Ranch isn't the answer ... what game did you think you were playing, Resident Evil 5? Tip: Notice there is a line connecting the Deku and Goron masks in the Masks menu, this is because they are special. The extra "dot" in the lower-right corner also indicates that whatever mask goes there is special, too. Very special, in fact. Maximum respect points if you find that mask and then NOT need to use it.
If you are enjoying the game so far then you have SO MUCH MORE to look forward to, this game goes DEEP, and as for the puzzles, you could say every little side quest is a puzzle on it's own way, and as for Romani Ranch, remember the first goron you saw told you he had a HUGE BOMB that was too heavy for tiny link to carry, maybe you should talk to him with big fella goron
I saw this in my reccomended and i was like ‘haha true’ And then ‘OH WAIT THAT’S A NEW QUIN VIDEO-‘ I finished watching your last BotW video yesterday- which means i have no Binkus videos of yours to watch So now i’m even MORE excited to watch your new uploads >:D Also gORON BINKUS??? YES??? And maybe try messing with the frog while wearing the frog hat thing? (That’s just a guess btw i don’t actually know anything about Majora’s Mask lmao-)
Agree that MM has the most esoteric “puzzles” of almost any game I’ve ever played, even including OoT. Beating it without a guide was very tough but worthwhile. No way I could’ve as a kid. I got stuck around this part of the game as a kid.
tips: frog mask, its for a heart piece you gotta get the frog from clock town, the swamp and the swamp temple and then beat the snow temple , yep two dungeons being replayed are for a side quest you at least dont have to beat the boss of the swamp temple for it only the snow you can scoop the frogs from the temple and leave when you jump slash the damage gets "stored" as it does 4x damage if you hold shield and stab you do a crouch stab which uses the stored up damage so you can jump slash into crouch stab to get 2 double damaged hits crouch stab applies to deku sticks too to enter romani ranch talk to the big man as goron in the bomb shop and to start the purple hair guys quest whose name is kafei ( cafe) you gotta talk to the mayor lady in clock town at 10 am and then anju at 3pm the rest goes from there however youll need access to later areas and items
Getting Romani’s quest requires you to complete snow head and get licensed to use the Gorons powerful bomb that even the bomb shop doesn’t sell the goron in town was talking about. A trick is to complete the dungeon, reset time to the first day, head back to snow head and beat the boss immediately since you already have the gorons lullaby, get licensed and go to the ranch.
@@frazzle7615, not if you get the license immediately after defeating the boss the first time, but it's better to replay the boss battle on day 1, start having your sword strengthened on day 1, get the big bomb, win the thing that's behind the rock you have to destroy, get into Romani Ranch, have your sword strengthened again on day 2, help Romani.
Ok so in order to get through that boulder, you first need to finish the boss in the next dungeon, then you can find a guy in goron city (area where you met the owl) and he will give you a bomb keg as a test, you need to bring that all the way across the bridges past the wolfos to break a boulder there. (You can win a race here and get a price to upgrade your sword a second time at the blacksmith btw). GO BACK to the goron you got the keg from, he'll now give you a permit which allows you to buy the keg from the goron in the bomb shop (you met him already). Buy a keg from him and plant is as a goron. You can now enter the farm early. (Bonus: for the upgraded sword, you need to give your sword to the blacksmith on the first day AFTER you beat the dungeon, easiest will be to just go back to the dungeon after you reset the time and beat the boss. You sword will be ready on the second morning. Then you have to win that race and you can upgrade it again and wait till the next morning again aka 3rd day)
You were supposed to know there was a hot spring beneath Darmani's grave because the Goron next to his frozen brother was lamenting that he didn't get some water from the hot spring before he built Darmani's grave on top of it. He did that to keep Darmani's body from freezing in the cold weather, as a sign of respect. That's why that same Goron asked in Darmani came back to life because it was so warm in his grave.
4:55 Quin, I see you figured this out on your own , but I'll say it anyways... don't wear bunny hood when you parkour. Specially if you come across a jumping minigame in the future. I found out the hard way that it makes the whole thing much harder. Not just the minigame, but platforming in dungeons, it just wasn't designed for jumping using bunny hood.
lol all the things you couldnt figure out are from dialogue, the goron outside the shrine literally mentions warm water under the shrine/grave like 3 times lol, and ur fairy asks "can't you see it" when referring to the wind blowing at snowhead so maybe u need to use lens to see something invisible but idk
also there is an entire page of masks but technically only 3 of them (other than the transformation masks, which would make it 6) that are actually required to beat the game, the rest are just extra, and all 3 of them are used during the 4th dungeon/area section
Quin almost choking on laughter when binkus becomes Goron is officially my favorite quin moment.

And you're absolutely right, the puzzles in the games do get easier after this one.
I feel like this Zelda game makes the most sense to 100%
@@QuinBoBin totally agree
Dude!!! Too much. Just leave it at "when in doubt, song of healing"
I love the Majoras Mask playthrough it's one of my favourite Zelda games that you've done
I was having a super bad start to my day, Quin uploading made my day infinitely better
Fun Fact, the song of healing backwards is Saria's song
Pro tip if you don’t know what to do, pull out your ocarina and if it plays the jingle you know you have to play a song for something to happen
I love rolling around as a round boi. I usually start every 3 day period by rolling around the town through all the grass patches to fill up on consumables like arrows and bombs. It's cheaper than buying and ensures I don't get stuck somewhere because I haven't picked up what I need.
Quin that goron ghost is one of the gorons carved into the mountain in botw
I think you'll really like what the source ends up being. ;)
My guess is that imma need the same mask they have
Give less on your tips, bro. Spoilers
Hey Quin, "There's something in the center of the blizzard. Can't you SEE it?"
@@QuinBoBin I recommend you to finish the dungeons first for you to center on the side quests because some side quests take along the three days.
@@QuinBoBin Hey Quin, this is a long quest but worth it. Don’t want to spoil anything but be prepared to spend some on this one and do some investigation. I had done this one in the past and when I replayed this game recently, it took me a couple tries to get it right.
@@stevenhicks7613 yeah that kinda made me mad how he spoiled the answers
"NOOO his head fell off.
Ima wear that."
am loving this series keep up the good work
Is it bad that Quin's voice narrates my thoughts now? 😂 Everything sounds like him now
TH-cam: Quinbobin has uploaded two videos!
Me: *shoves aside taxes work in excitement*
TH-cam: jk it's only one and we're bugged again
Me: BETRAYAL!.... But at least now it's still a good evening!
I love your videos, dude! I also started playing this game 3 weeks ago, considering it has been 6 years since I last played it. Taking a break because I'm focusing on another game at the moment. But I'm up to the same point as you with the Gorons.
You can now get past the wind to the mountain with everything you've got. You just need to figure out what to use to do it.
"8 minutes later we're inside, baby!"
Could be a longer foreplay but it's a start.
So a couple of tips:
Before attempting the temple, your going to want to restart to day 1 and use slow time.
Looking forward to your next episode! This Majoras Mask playthrough is a highlight for me!
I love your thumbnails, please make a video of you making one :D
I still cannot get over your cut-off scream from the Dark Souls video
If you are enjoying the game so far then you have SO MUCH MORE to look forward to, this game goes DEEP, and as for the puzzles, you could say every little side quest is a puzzle on it's own way, and as for Romani Ranch, remember the first goron you saw told you he had a HUGE BOMB that was too heavy for tiny link to carry, maybe you should talk to him with big fella goron
Quin's wheeze gets me every time 😭😭😭
I see you Quin. I noticed Binkus is missing his sword at the end 😀
"What a sad way to go", he said about Darmanis death a few minutes before he's falling from the cliffs himself. Love that.
I saw this in my reccomended and i was like ‘haha true’
And then ‘OH WAIT THAT’S A NEW QUIN VIDEO-‘
I finished watching your last BotW video yesterday- which means i have no Binkus videos of yours to watch
So now i’m even MORE excited to watch your new uploads >:D
Also gORON BINKUS??? YES???
And maybe try messing with the frog while wearing the frog hat thing? (That’s just a guess btw i don’t actually know anything about Majora’s Mask lmao-)
You should use the magic lens every time you think you are missing something, especially in the snowhead temple, otherwise you will get stuck easily
Agree that MM has the most esoteric “puzzles” of almost any game I’ve ever played, even including OoT.
Beating it without a guide was very tough but worthwhile. No way I could’ve as a kid. I got stuck around this part of the game as a kid.
tips: frog mask, its for a heart piece you gotta get the frog from clock town, the swamp and the swamp temple and then beat the snow temple , yep two dungeons being replayed are for a side quest
you at least dont have to beat the boss of the swamp temple for it only the snow
you can scoop the frogs from the temple and leave
when you jump slash the damage gets "stored" as it does 4x damage
if you hold shield and stab you do a crouch stab which uses the stored up damage so you can jump slash into crouch stab to get 2 double damaged hits
crouch stab applies to deku sticks too
to enter romani ranch talk to the big man as goron in the bomb shop
and to start the purple hair guys quest whose name is kafei ( cafe)
you gotta talk to the mayor lady in clock town at 10 am and then anju at 3pm the rest goes from there however youll need access to later areas and items
Goron: Did you come back to life because it was so warm beneath your grave?
Quin: W h a t?
on todays episode quin becomes a giant man and rolley polley's around hyrule.
Thank you for this art.
I'm just always so happy whenever you upload a new Majora's mask video!
I love Gorons they're so cute! I also loved the reactions today. Also... 10:52... Nice save! I laughed pretty hard there ngl
I agree with you, Majora's Mask is weird. But I love that darn game :D
Have a great day to everyone that is reading this :)
There's a Goron in the bomb shop that sells powder keg too. So I don't think you need to do the boss again?
@@frazzle7615 you do in order to get the license
@@frazzle7615, not if you get the license immediately after defeating the boss the first time, but it's better to
replay the boss battle on day 1,
start having your sword strengthened on day 1,
get the big bomb,
win the thing that's behind the rock you have to destroy,
get into Romani Ranch,
have your sword strengthened again on day 2,
help Romani.
Awesome thanks that's probably what I'll do on my next playthrough.
Was just waiting for this reveal with how much you like the Gorons...
Reject Hylian, RETURN TO GORON-
Ok so in order to get through that boulder, you first need to finish the boss in the next dungeon, then you can find a guy in goron city (area where you met the owl) and he will give you a bomb keg as a test, you need to bring that all the way across the bridges past the wolfos to break a boulder there. Then you have to win that race and you can upgrade it again and wait till the next morning again aka 3rd day)
Dar-MAH-knee...Darmani lmao you got it right once, when you first met him, quin, but then he turned into daramni the rest of the vid. 🤣
There's nothing more soothing than an epic drum solo
I never thought seeing someone reacting to Majoras Mask for the first time would be so great XD
I choked on my food when he started punching the baby
He didn’t stand a chance
4:55 Quin, I see you figured this out on your own , but I'll say it anyways... don't wear bunny hood when you parkour. Specially if you come across a jumping minigame in the future. I found out the hard way that it makes the whole thing much harder. Not just the minigame, but platforming in dungeons, it just wasn't designed for jumping using bunny hood.
it'd be cool if the ingame sound was a bit louder so we could hear the songs and stuff better :D
iirc, the way to break that rock does indeed lay in the goron mask, but not in the way you were thinking
I'm most scared of the toilet hand because, if you don't know he there he can reach up while you're sitting down
Just a friendly reminder that you are amazing and appreciated
Thank you lizard
lol all the things you couldnt figure out are from dialogue, the goron outside the shrine literally mentions warm water under the shrine/grave like 3 times lol, and ur fairy asks "can't you see it" when referring to the wind blowing at snowhead so maybe u need to use lens to see something invisible but idk
also there is an entire page of masks but technically only 3 of them (other than the transformation masks, which would make it 6) that are actually required to beat the game, the rest are just extra, and all 3 of them are used during the 4th dungeon/area section
These Majora's Mask thumbnail arts have been pretty damn good.
I return once more to a new Quin vid, resting comfortably on the toilet seat and enjoying the hell out of this. Stay healthy and keep it up big man 💪
Rolling can get you up steep hills.
Also, the guy outside told you there was hot water under the grave.
Goron mask slaps. It goes so incredibly swift. It moves at high velocities. Its rad
Glad to see Small Man becoming a Big Man today!
