Toner comes after cleansing and before serums and creams, so you could definitely apply both but that’s only if you’re going for a multi-step routine. Generally you should be fine with the four main steps: cleansing, a serum, moisturizer and sunscreen (for daytime) 🫶🏻

my skin care advice (i have extremely dry skin):
- basic face wash for dry skin but nothing fancy (i use the cerave one)
- only wash at night (for me, drying to wash twice)
- use coooold water to wash (i was vehemently against this but finally caved and tbh its a game changer)
- good moisturizer w/ vitamin E -- i use a korean one
for me i like to keep it simple bc im lazy and kinda feel like my skin responds better to less product. everyones skin is different. i will say korean skin care is reallllly popping off rn.
The vlogs are probably my favorite videos!! And the way you feel this winter is the way i feel EVERY winter. At least Jan & Feb. Prayers for you and your mom.

I have that mucin and love it! I would recommend your day moisturizer has SPF or apply SPF. Its the best habit to include in your skincare.

I love Cetaphil and SkinFix. I have sensitive skin and I’m sensitive to fragrances and they both have fragrance-free options. I particularly like the Cetaphil cleansing wipes. Sometimes I use those instead of washing my face if I’m having a bad migraine day. I also keep them in my purse. SkinFix has a really great Eczema line that I’m obsessed with so I’d definitely recommend checking them out.
Also, it’s so wild that you posted this video because my Mom was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and she had her lumpectomy on Wednesday! Things went really well and I’m glad both of our moms are badass survivors! I’m keeping you all close to my heart. 💜

My mum had cancer some years back and it was so scary so I wish her the very best and I'm so glad she's doing well, it always warms my heart the bond you have with your family it's really sweet. I always enjoy your vlogs so much and I absolutely love your planner, I was debating between getting a hobinichi one or getting the iconic I always get and I ended up getting the iconic one which is a Korean brand. I have a Japanese/Korean stationary shop next to my job and I always end up buying stickers, pens and washitape I cannot control myself when it comes to this. 💞

Hey! I work for a dermatologist and I just want you to know your mom is going to be okay don’t worry ! ❤❤ it’s not life threatening and now she gets it removed before it grows bigger or deeper in her skin I hope all is well and her recovery is smooth and fast
So glad to hear your mom is doing okay! It’s always scary for any kind of cancer. My parents each had a biopsy and removal of some bumps on them or else it could have turned into skin cancer. I know how you feel & I’m so glad she’s doing well 😊

So glad your mom is okay!! This reminds me so much of my mom too! A few years ago, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, and 6 weeks later she had a double mastectomy, and has now been cancer free ever since. Still so scary though. Great vlog! ❤

I know the word cancer is very scary…. But most skin cancers are very manageable, my dad has had basal cell spots a few times, and they just have cut them off! No chemo or radiation or anything! ❤️ much love to you and your family Gabby ❤️
Sorry to hear about your Mom, my Aunt had skin cancer in three places and she had to use a chemotherapy cream for a few weeks. It is a scary thing to hear though about your Mom. I am positive she will be absolutely fine xx

Hi! My mom had a very similar procedure to remove skin cancer on her ear lobe last year and she’s doing well…I’m super hopeful and sending every wonderful vibe that your mom had a successful procedure and will feel so good afterwards! I had my own breast cancer scare earlier this year and surgery…I just know that everything is so scary and stressful! But you can handle everything life will throw at you🤗. My husband had a similar cancer and treatment. They were able to get his all out. It was on his face too.

My mother and sister both had that type of cancer years ago and they both did very well and cancer was gone (mom passed away but never had that problem once they treated her) love and prayers to you sweet mom. Also love all your videos❤
Sorry to hear about all the stress & worry with your mom. Thank God they were able to get her in so quickly for the surgery & she only needed the one. I currently have a sore on my lip & now I am thinking I should go to the doctor!
I am 36 now & just starting to get more into a skin routine. I never had bad acne growing up but it's coming now! I also have terribly dry skin & I have had eczema my whole life. I need prescription cream for when I get outbreaks. I would suggest going to a doctor if it's not clearing up with the Aveeno stuff.

You can layer the toner before the serum. Put a little in your hands and apply directly. My biggest tip is to wear sunscreen every day. The best that doesn’t feel like sunscreen is another Korean brand Beauty of Joseon. It’s so nice!
30:44 yes! I just got back on CosRx, I always go back to the basics when mu skin gets finnicky… their BHA and the snail essence are the bomb, and their gel cleanser is also👌🏼

if you ever want any other skincare recs i am really into skincare too! would def recommend adding SPF to the morning routine or getting a moisturiser that has SPF in it for during the day

That snail mucin is one of my fave skincare products! A little tip, it works a lot better if you put a bit of water on your face before you apply it
My mom has had cancer twice--Ovarian and Cervical, stage 2 and stage 3. Both when I was young, so I get how terrifying this was for you. But she survived both of those so trust me, girl. Our momma's are stronger than we could ever think. So long as you stay supporting her by her side and give her strength throughout this scary journey of waiting to see if it'll come back and if she recovers well, she's gonna pull through for her kids. It's scary when they're our world but she's got this!!💖💓

Hi Gabby! We live in South Florida and my husband is a PE teacher. I would never tell you not to worry, but he constantly has pieces of skin cancer or pre cancer on his back. He goes to the
dermatologist once every 6 months. She has taken quite a few spots (big spots) off his bacI kdon't know what my point is, but he lives with it and it is a part of our lives. I'm glad things went well for your Mom.

My mom got diagnosed with Bilateral Breast Cancer in December of 2021. I was literally in the process of ending my career and starting a new one in a whole other profession, and it was so tough to handle for me. She literally called me at work to give me the biopsy results, even though we pretty much knew it was cancer, and I cried in front of all my new coworkers. My mom said "why are you crying!?" and I was like "because I am sad!" She handled it way better than I did. lol. I totally know how it feels to try and deal with the situation, and you did great!

My brother n law had the same type of skin cancer as your Mom. He has a mole removed off his neck last year and he is fine now. They got it all and he is completely healed.

I totally feel you with the skin cancer thing. My dad has had skin cancer for about 18 years now. He also has the common, non life threatening one. Even knowing that, it's still scary every time he gets diagnosed with a new spot. Thinking of your mom and your family💗
I understand your anxiety! My mom sprained her ankle last week and the idea of her being in pain was unbearable for me. I couldn't help but think about how she is aging, in pain that I couldn't help with, etc. I just spiraled a little bit and she didn't even need to go to the hospital 😅
I heard that flights booking websites keep track of your searches and it increases your prices every time you check it. People say it’s a myth but it does that to me every time so I usually check prices incognito mode.

Re: skin care, I’m also a big fan of the Cosrx stuff! Their liquid exfoliants are great for ppl w some acne, but their Propolis Light Cream is soooooo good for dry skin! I tend to use that at night. I also love their toner & the Low Ph Good Morning cleanser though you really wanna hit it w moisturizer after. I also have eczema at times and if it’s persistent you may need to see a dermo for steroid cream! But there’s a good list of eczema safe products online

For what it's worth - I work in derm, specifically with results and from what you described I imagine it is either a Basal or Squamous Cell and the procedure is Mohs surgery. Basal and Squamous Cells are extremely common and VERY easily treatable. Mohs surgery removes microscopic amounts of the lesion at a time, so the procedure can be as least invasive as possible - which is why local anesthetic to the area is fine, rather than her needing to be put under. Also, Mohs allows for the patient to get confirmation of clearance/margins clear day of, which is awesome. Your concern for your mom is so heartwarming - she will pull through and then it'll be a thing in the past
Also, if it is Mohs, the procedure itself does not take long - it is just a lot of down time. They remove microscopic amounts of the lesion and then process, determine if it is all clear and if it isn't yet, they go back to remove more and when all is clear, they finish with sutures. So we typically recommend bringing someone or a book lol.

I feel you on 2024 starting tough. I sprained my ankle in january, got a tooth infection in February that needed a 3 part root canal and this month we got COVID. ready for April lol
Hi Gabby, I'm so happy your mom is now ok. I would be worried, but in the same time hopeful. Give her a big hug for me. Tank is so cute. My skincare recommendation is not to shower with hot water and don't over wash your face. I just put cold water in my face in the morning and I wash my face with Olay Hydroluronic and moisturize at night. Drink plenty of water and eat veggies and fruits. Have a wonderful weekend with family and friends.
Use Cetaphil moisturizer for extra dry and sensitive skin for eczema

And as far as skin care all i use two different face washes Noxzema i used since i was 12 yrs old n i also use function of beautys skin care i use there face wash n Serum which is custom to my skin type and all u do is take quiz n thats it n i also use this face cream called pond cream n i also use baby lotion on my face n thats all i use honestly n its helped my skin so much
I don’t have a lot of skin care tips but my main one is washing my face with water and applying sun screen every morning and at night I use cerave cleanser and a “heavier” moisturizer like nivea or the beauty of joseon one

I’m so happy your mother is doing well and the procedure was successful! ❤ some skincare advice: don’t rub the product into your hands before putting it on your face because your hands will soak up the product and there’s not much left for your face. Just dab onto your finger and then immediately on your face and it’ll save you a lot of product and money 🥰
