Jake might have had the worst season in any season-based event ever. All the DQs, all the falls, and I believe multiple trades in which the kid he traded for finished last in every event following the trade.
I’m crying 😂 That’s my sister, Cristina! She WAS so pissed that they made her wet her hair AND wet those shoes they gave her AND that they misspelled her name! I remember watching from the bleachers on the sidelines! Your commentary is so spot on! This was just hilarious!
3 questions... Does she still have the trophy? Have you been aware of this series just WAITING until they showed your sisters episode??? Did you tell her about it?
How did the Guts producers see that one kid fall on the original obstacle course rope and then think, “let’s make this ten times more dangerous with two sets of rings?”
I noticed this before, but I am so glad that Jake takes his health seriously. Like, I know they are just watching Guts, but for Jake to protect his vision by wearing safety goggles, that just proves how serious he is. Ask Kareem how important proper eye protection was to him. And he's a Hall of Famer!!!! Jake, I salute your dedication to safety and look forward to seeing you in the Hall of Fame of Personal Protective Equipment.
We need a video montage of all the Jake contestants utterly failing. I still remember that paddle boat game where his kid was stuck flailing in the corner of the pool for like 40 seconds. 😂😂😂
Jakes lack of reaction to Rachel falling was fantastic. The mans just used to his contestants failing in spectacular ways then her stalling on the crag button press was icing on the cake.
Yes that is what he is saying. He specifically did not say "you can't win the episode" because he knew that wasn't true. If Eddie had come in second and Christina had come in first, Jimmy would have won the episode.@@chrism7574
The fact that Jimmy called Blue's 1 min 40 sec time before the event even started is a testament to how stat oriented Jimmy is. He's calculating team color times the player minus the event that's being performed lol.

This means Joez/Zack have clinched the points lead unless their next contestant is disqualified on the Crag or in two other events. Without DQs, the biggest episode swing possible is 4 * 200 + 350 = 1150 points
New trade stipulation: imagine being able to wager a set amount of points from your competitor. "I'll give you a first round pick next episode, and 100 of my pts this episode for Christina." That would make crags even more exciting, because you would have to win by over two hundred (your competitor gets -100, theirs gets +100), otherwise when you give the points the other player would get the win.
They held Cristina in the pool event. Red and blue out the gate looked like they were pulled across. Red almost crying got me in the feels. At least no one was home to see it.
Here are the scenarios going into the Crag event Points going into the Crag Eddie 1100 Christina 900 Rachel 500 If Eddie doesn't miss the last actuator and finishes 1st or 2nd he wins no matter what Christina does because he would have at least 1650 points which is 25 more than Christina can get in 1st. Now since he missed it, if Rachel would have just pushed the button before Christina instead of watching her push the button and then hitting it Eddie would have still won as Christina would have 1450 pts and he would have 1475. All that to say joezach clinched the season with Christina who actually was the 3rd slowest up the Crag. Joez yelling that she was the "best competitor we have seen" when she only won 2 events, was the slowest up the Crag and literally got stuck on the invisible boat race and had to be dragged across by the helpers is just hilarious. That all being said, joezach had 1st place for the season locked up because Rachel had no way to catch either player on the Crag so even if they got 2nd they would have 12 point and Jimmy and Jake would have 9 each meaning they would both be 3 points behind and would still only be playing for 2nd place.
It's hard to say Rachel did it on purpose but that was really bizarre. Like she easily could have won the crag. Separate from this TH-cam series, on purpose or not, Rachel really did cheat Eddie out of a first place finish.
You guys should use the totals of the guts scores (1050, 1475, 1625) instead of just 1st 2nd 3rd. It's more math on your end but would make it more exciting.
I’m playing catch up to all these guts Episodes, this has to be one of my favorite internet series 🤣 thanks IG for the clip that brought me to this TH-cam channel

2 in one week. So Monday was just a bonus. I'm here for it! I guess I'm spemding 2 hours at work doing nothing work related, but the real question is do you have it.... Guts
Playoff Idea: The playoffs are a 1 episode championship game where the 1st place team from the season gets the 1st overall pick, 2nd place team gets the 2nd pick, etc. So Joez/Zack gets the 1st pick...but here's the catch. They need a bigger advantage for winning the regular season, so the draft in the championship game is AFTER the 1st event.
This is crazy. Having the blue in archery and soccer is the opposite of having purple in the Crag. The blue bungee operator in archery is always hanging kids out to dry.
For the next season, you should have someone from staff pull the "Spill your Guts" info ahead of time to inform your draft picks. Would add a little spice to the initial draft and make it more likely to want to trade up when you hear one of the kids lives in the water or something. LOVE THIS SERIES
Would it work if next season you kept track of each of your player's points? Instead of getting 3 points for 1st, 2 for 2nd, and 1 for 3rd, your final score for the episode is your player's final points. Then those points carry over to the next episode and you keep adding up the points. It would make it interesting all the way to the end. Even if you were in third place going into the final you could potentially have a dominant player that launches you into first.
Assuming the person who posted the scores below it was correct, it wouldn't make a difference for first this season, though Jimmy would have a slight lead in the race for second: Joez/Zack 8100 Jimmy 6800 Jake 6650 Unless Joez/Zack's contestant were disqualified, the biggest swing in an episode would be 1150 (= 4 * 200 + 350). I'm fine with it the way it is. However, I don't hate the proposal of adding a 7th episode where they draft in order of the seasonal standings (first gets first pick), but it has Crag-style scoring. In that case, Joez/Zack could have still clinched before the final episode, but only if they beat Jake. Jimmy could still win, but it would require him getting 1st twice and Joez/Zack getting last twice. I think that would add the most suspense, while keeping episodes meaningful.
@@Dieselfist87, the math was trivial since I did not partake in this show's sponsor. It was the other person who bothered to tally the episode scores who deserves credit for doing most of the work.

Yoo, those rings might be the most dangerous thing I've seen on this show. Eddie did it the right way, ignore those foot rings or you'll crack your Achilles. Or apparently even snap your femur like Christina almost did.
If you use the Guts points, instead of your 3/2/1 point system, Joezach have 8,100 ; Jim has 6,800 and Jake trails with 6,650 (where you have Jake in 2nd with your point system). Why the decision to not use Guts points?
Jake is like the steelers where every game his player does the most insane and bad performance but somehow he remains in the middle of the pack in the standings
Jake was completely right about them being carried across. They do it on purpose to keep the show interesting by getting the 3 scores as close together as possible before the Krag. Kristina didn't do bad, she was held back.
Great job by JoeZack for the season! That being said, I think a combination of overthinking and bad luck for Jimmy and Jake played a factor. Several times they gave too much credence to the purple crag (example: Jimmy's pick of Kath) and other times they didn't give it enough (example: Jake's pick of Sean in red over JP in purple). Meanwhile, JoeZack had a 1st place finish with the 3rd pick, which had never happened before the Season format began. It's very tough because there is a delicate balance to weigh between picking the purple contestant or liking a red/blue contestant (or disliking the purple contestant) enough to where you pick them over purple. I think Jimmy and Jake need to put some thought into reevaluating how they draft for Season 2.
You guys should have money throughout the season say $100 that you can send with trades and then the winner of the season only wins however much money they had at the end of the season. So you could sell players to try and gain more capital for later.
Next season keep the points for an overall win the same. But give 2 points to whoever wins the Crag. That gives you a secondary goal to potentially trade or even draft for.

If you use the Guts points, instead of your 3/2/1 point system, Joezach have 8,100 ; Jim has 6,800 and Jake trails with 6,650 (where you have Jake in 2nd with your point system).
Why the decision to not use Guts points?
Jake looks so wrecked in that sponsorship spot😂
So excited to get home and watch this
yo, lowkey* thats the only factor meal ad ive ever watched
*lowkey = HIGHkey
DO-DO-DO-DO-YOU HAVE IT?
GUTS!!!
Jake is like the steelers where every game his player does the most insane and bad performance but somehow he remains in the middle of the pack in the standings
Jake was completely right about them being carried across. They do it on purpose to keep the show interesting by getting the 3 scores as close together as possible before the Krag. Kristina didn't do bad, she was held back.
she was literally going backwards - you're 100% right the pool event is just as scammed as the volleyball/baseball/soccer events
Love the redemption season of joez/zack after being robbed of good picks for soo long ! Feels like we have been on a journey this whole time ! lol
What a roller coaster. Time to set some records in Game 6.
I love when they see the head of hair on Christina that it just breaks down immediately.
Paused at 7:50 to say that JoeZack are gonna crush J&J.
To be cont'd . . .
Phew, that was much closer than I expected it to be.
TEAM JOEZACK!
I felt so bad for Jake but you kinda saw it coming when he said “watch this” 😂😂😂
Great job by JoeZack for the season!
Joez should be required to wear the jersey of his team color. Worked out good last episode when he was blue lol
Seeing a second Guts! You guys rock!
two in a week? so blessed
You guys should have money throughout the season say $100 that you can send with trades and then the winner of the season only wins however much money they had at the end of the season. So you could sell players to try and gain more capital for later.
please get some bungees in the warehouse and do some of these games. nicky trapped in the middle hanging there seems like some grade A content lol
You should make the episode 6 scoring 7.25 pts for 1st, 5.5 for 2nd and 3.75 for 3rd to match the Crag scoring.
Next season keep the points for an overall win the same. But give 2 points to whoever wins the Crag. That gives you a secondary goal to potentially trade or even draft for.
