At the start of the Season I made a spreadsheet and it became a habit while watching the episodes to fill it out and here is what I've found from the short 6 game season. AVG age of contestants is very close with purple being the youngest slightly at 12.16 followed by Blue 12.6 and Red 12.67. Jake on avg took the youngest at a flat 12 years, then Jomboy at 12.5 and Joez slightly higher than avg with a 12.8 years. Its no surprise Joez's team avg the most points per game at a Staggering 1575 points, also being the only ones to beat ALL the avgs of each color. Both Jake and Jimmy would have gotten more points by picking anyone every time Except blue. Blue scored the least and did the worst on avg by a somewhat big margin. That is reflected in its highest pick at 2.3 meaning on avg blue was the 2nd or 3 pick, while red and purple both had 1.83. With them being only 125 in difference of total points in reds favor it was very even. Purple Made up a lot of points in the Crag unsurprisingly scoring 175 more points by the end of the 6 episodes than 2nd place in the crag Red. I took purple this whole season and looking at the data its odd seeing red slight ahead on everything but crag. Purple crag buff does exist, while red either came first or last in the crag. I'm excited the playoffs (I feel like Joez's team already dominated and should get a better boost to the playoffs and Cragoffs) and Season two I might have to expand the sheets cause its kind of fun going thru all the data. - Zoey docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Ix4j-mBEisXx8vzQTEiE-1__DDpVuVKlHYAz5tz9vUk/edit?usp=sharing
Holy shit, read Kim Kahana's wiki (the mustachioed stunt coordinator). Dude survived a firing squad execution in the Korean war by feigning death and then was the only survivor of an airplane crash a few years later.

@@Ritz24601thats like carl edwards jr winning a WS ring with the braves in 2021 😂 he pitched like 3 mlb outs in one single appearance in like early May and still received a ring when they won later that year
That water event was bugged. The bungee was pulling them up which made it so they couldn't lean back. That's why all 3 contestants had issues with the front of their board dipping into the water. Along with the rings debacle, this episode was borked.
All of the belayed events are uncompetitive. It looks like they don't have any kind of calibration for the contestants' weights, so each belayer is as much a competitor as the actual contestant. If you get the "volleyball-style serve" guy instead of the "here you go" guy, you're gonna lose every time.
Two ideas for future seasons 1. an extra game gets added to that season, but no one is allowed to see the contestants for that game. The selection must be made off the names on the scoreboard in the intro scene. No trading allowed. Who you draft is who you’re stuck with. 2. One season is strictly point accumulation from every episode, getting a dominate player means more if they can rake in a ton of points.
Option 2 adds TOO much chaos. Higher probability of a season being clinched too early because of a single, ridiculous 3-kid grouping. Whoever lucked into the 1 pick that week is given an obnoxious advantage, solely for being able to recognize a 5'10" 14-year-old amongst children.
I can just imagine the Nickelodeon lawyers watching this episode back then, chugging pepto, as kids are awkwardly falling 10 feet onto partially matted cement flooring. 😂😂
I’m so proud of you guys, you almost understand the math of the game!! 26:46 Don’t let the 25, 50, 75 distract you, it’s only there for tie breaking purposes - focus on the 7, 5, 3. Like you saw Red at 5 could take 1st and go up to 12, and Blue with 8 could take 3rd going to 11 and that 300 difference is covered and eclipsed by the +400 of that swing. Which also meant if Purple got 3rd and Blue got first, ol Birt would have won…
I think my favorite part is that Joez feels like someone's trying to pull one over on him every single time, and I think you guys need to keep that going. Like if he wins 2 in a row on the Cragg-off, you gotta be like "Alright so we agreed on 3, right?" If he still wins that, "Ok, so we agreed that the Champions get 4 third-round picks in the next season, right?" Just mess with him the whole time!
I didn't even notice at first that they took some of the rings off. If anything, that probably made it even worse. I'm sure the producers were probably thinking of getting rid of them altogether once that taping session was done. Will you still be reacting to the remaining episodes of the first season of Guts? Also, to answer Jake's question from the last episode, they have to complete an obstacle before moving onto the next one. They can't just skip it if they fall off. Mo even mentions this in her rules spiel.
If you guys watch the last redo serve when you paused it, at like 7:40, you see the worker in the back right mimic what you’re supposed to do. Even he looks up at another worker after and was like wtf?? 🤷🏻♂️ 😂

“Everyone.”

The addition of a post season does feel like Jake and Jimmy trying to snake this win away from team Joezack lol
Absolutely! But I’m glad the season isn’t quite over yet.
That's absolutely what they're doing. Time to talk to HR about a hostile workplace lol
100% on this. Totally trying to screw Joezack out of a trophy lol

Every single time lol, we all know who the champions are- Joezack #1
Jimmy and Jake always moving those goalposts on the poor hometown kids. 😀 Another hilarious episode, keep it up!
My absolute favorite part about this series is that they still have not fully grasped the scoring for the last round. Never change.
Math is definitely not their strong suit. Lol
As a kid I always found the scoring system deliberately annoying haha
0, 175, 350 is really not a hard concept to grasp lol. I saw that in the comments once and it has never been confusing since
When it was a 300 point difference and they were saying how it didn't matter who won the crag I was laughing so hard.
@@blankname6629I think they made it that way to make it just a bit harder to follow.

Birts profile said baseball champion. Lie detector determined that was a lie.
Assistant managers are champions too.
Relief pitcher that never saw the field, on the team though so still a champion.

The ending is like when children change the rules of a game because they're losing. Congrats JoeZack on kind of winning!
Jake and Jimmy spontaneously turning into petty and vindictive heel authority figures as the credits were ready to roll was a thing of beauty.
Jimmy with the creepy old man at a park impression KILLED me
Aboslutely addicted to this series. Can't get enough! All 3 kids falling on the rings was wild
Jimmy trying to hose them last second is so classic.
"all events are designed with our player's safety in mind....except for the rings. You're on your own for that one."

Whoever’s kid comes ahead wins the season. 🏆
So we're not gonna talk about the kid's name being Birt Reynolds?
So is nobody going to mention that that kids name is literally Birt Reynolds?

These aren't being broadcast in the order they were filmed. They probably added the rings later when everyone kept falling.
