I think if Seattle was willing to part with a 4th rounder for Zach Wilson, Zach could sit on the bench for 2 years backing up Geno and learning from him....Seattle's run first philosophy + 2 years of learning from Geno "might" (big might) help him develop his potential....Zach needs a LOT of humbling and backing up Geno for 2 years might just do the trick.

If I had to ride with a QB of these two, I would roll with Mike White. It isn’t that I think he is this magnificent QB because he played a rebuilding Bears team, it’s because I like his character.

The jets don't even need a huge playmaking QB to be a top contender this year. Someone who can manage the game plan & locker room would be enough. If Mike White can make the easy throws and go 30% on the hard ones, the Jets have a real chance.

The Jets are stupid. Should’ve taken Fields; he was the #2 recruit behind Lawrence for a reason. He succeeded in college for a reason. He was mature, showed leadership, and had talent.
Heck I would’ve went Lance over Wilson, who was terrible in his bowl game, while Lance at least showed he could dominate against his level of competition’s best. Can’t say the same for Wilson.

They're both young players who you could develop into a franchise guy. When a guy loses his job, no matter how well his replacement plays and the team improves overall, it's considered proper etiquette to keep the celebration subdued because, obviously, to celebrate one guy is to de facto disparage the other. So that post-game celebration on the sideline last week, and the fact that some of the Jets players posted photos of the love-scrum on social media, says all we need to know about how the players feel about Zach Wilson. It's one thing to celebrate, but to do it on the field in front of the cameras, and then for some players to double down with the online photos, well...that's a not at all ambiguous statement to Zach Wilson which says not only "we're glad you lost your job," but also "we don't care how you feel about it." And that is remarkable. After seeing that, asking whether of not Zach Wilson "lost the locker room" is ridiculous--obviously he did. The only question is whether or not the rest of the team's dislike for him is so strong that it might seriously impact their morale if he were to take the field again. And we got an answer to that question from the fact that Wilson wasn't just benched, he was all but cut--last Sunday he didn't dress, wasn't standing on the sideline with a headset and/or clipboard, and barely seemed to be part of the team. He's not being included in the offense at all, which you'd think the Jets would want to do if they realistically thought he might be able to "reset" and get back on the field at some point this season or next. But he is so disliked by the rest of the team, and/or his play has been so terrible (probably both), that the Jets organization has given up on him. He'll never see the field again in a Jets uniform; in the off-season they'll trade him for a late late draft pick and a handful of beans, and that will be the end of Zach Wilson's New York experience.

Mike white is the girl in a rough relationships friend who has sat back and taken note of everything the BF was doing wrong lol, and now is taking his chance at her.
In order for the Jets to even begin to entertain reinstituting Zach Wilson as the starter again, I believe that there would have to be a dramatic shift, in terms of how the locker room views him. Every player will tell you, that cliche terms like "momentum," and "finding your stride," are real. And equally, so is the term "gelling," in reference to where teammates develop a strong team mentality, and a strong sense of direction and purpose, leading to a better understanding of each other's style of play, making them a much more cohesive, and effective unit overall. I just feel at this point he's to disliked, and resented for guys to develop this necessary cohesion. If guys don't respect you, and respect your opinion, they will not look to you as a leader. In the minds of the players, a leader cannot just be designated. They have to be chosen, and that choice, I feel, comes from the overall development of respect. Which has to be earned. I do not think that Zac Wilson, in his present state of mind, can command the respect needed, to become a super bowl caliber team, from his teammates. Plain and simple. Could that change??? Yes it could. But I think it starts w/ him, first and foremost.

I'm not even a jets fan but from what I've seen it just wouldn't make sense for them to not play M.White I think everyone ( besides z. Wilson) would agree that Mike white has performed and the team altogether seems to all be paddling in the same direction, and this is not just from the chi game, when he was starting earlier in the season when Zach was out he looked good. Z. Wilson has that look on his face like he thinks he is entitled, better than everyone else and from the energy of the other players it seems to be felt the same way.

Mike White knows what He's doing out there. His quick release is excellent. His footwork is on point. Zach always looks and his footwork stnks when it comes to a pocket QB. Zach leaves the pocket early even when there is no pressure. Zach is definitely a long way from being a good QB. He really needs to learn the basics over again.
I don’t think he ever has learned the basics tho lmao that kinda part of his issue, his worst attributes is that he has terrible pocket presence and terrible short passing accuracy, dude basically made it this far solely off of his god given arm talent

There has to be a level of accountability and humility being an NFL QB. We as fans want to see a leader and results. We Bengal fans are blessed to have Joe Burrow as our QB.
I would give Mike White the rest of the year to see what he can do. He only has 4 starts, Zach Wilson has 20 starts, and he hasn't really been great in any game. Mike White has been great in 2 of his 4 starts, so I would give him an actual chance for consistency. Idc that ZW was second overall, and MW was a 5th rounder, that means nothing to me, I want the better player.

He was a standout defensive end in college and projected to go in the first round of the 2016 NFL draft but was arrested on sequel assault charges and went undrafted. He was later found not guilty.

Zach Wilson has Physical talent. Really depends on what Mike White does with this opportunity. Yes he played a great Game against the Bears Defense, what we need to see is consistency in performance. Can he beat the Vikings? If so the question becomes Can he beat the Bills next? If he loses to the Bills you get some argument that Zach was able to. Mike White needs to win more than lose to have this job. At the end of the day as a fan I want to win, I don't care who is driving. I'm sure Wilson can cry into his millions somewhere else. Same with White as I think at the very least he's shown to be someone competent who can lead a team.

This team with Mike White is better than the 2009 and 2010 Jets, that made it to back to back AFC Championship games.
I would say that Zach Wilson ran into a very steep hill that is the NFL. His college football record didn't include that many competitive teams, like the ones QB's face in the SEC. I still think he has great potential, but he's going to have a huge workload to become a true starter in the league.

Way too much hype for Mike White when he’s only played the Bears defense… however, Mike White and the Jets have an easier schedule remaining especially against defenses than they did under Zach Wilson. The dominoes are lined up for Mike to keep the job or lose it in the next two games!

Wilson was terrible vs NE but the one thing that bothers me is the false “Wilson cried about the wind” or “Wilson blamed the wind”. He was asked why the Jets didn’t take as many shots downfield like they did the 1st time they played where he threw for over 300yds. He was answering why they didn’t throw downfield as much. Mac Jones played very good but most of his passes were short as well

The Niners and Jets both outsmarted themselves. I have been saying since this draft that one and only one QB should have been the second QB taken and that was Justin Fields. A guy that proved himself at a Power 5 school. A guy that had all the tools of Trey Lance and Zach Wilson plus played better competition. Imagine Fields in SF or NY? I had a feeling that Lance and Wilson would have trouble in the NFL because one had one good year at a lower level school and another who had one good year outside of a Power 5 school. If the QB doesn't fit the scheme, the players on the offense, the coaching staff, it's not gonna work most times.
Coaching is so important to be able to pivot smoothly and then move ahead with new thoughts is so important.

Over the last 20 years or so the Jets have made a habit out selecting QBs in the draft based more on unseen potential vs actual game tape and college results. Sanchez, Wilson, Darnold, Christian Hackenburg….all of these guys were not very accurate in college. What made the Jets think they would improve in a more competitive NFL?

I thought it was dumb to draft Wilson while we still had Darnold when he already went through his inexperience phase and just needed the playmakers & offensive line to give him the best opportunity to showcase his talent like Wilson has as they should’ve drafted Penei or chase early if staying in the top 5 but really wanted Parsons and draft capital for the future but the 2022 draft picks were all hits plus free agent acquisitions as we’re Lucky we signed White, because Zach is just to young minded to be the guy right now, but we still have plenty of time to watch him grow because I think he’s better than any 4th or 5th round pick that they ean get for him as he will come back & be great & haunt & destroy them
