The melody of the verses reminds me of "People are Strange" by The Doors. I'd never heard this song before and I'm glad you 3 introduced it to me. It's memorable, oddly catchy, and appropriately haunting.

I'm a 69 yr old fan of Billie and Finneas - I'm very happy you did this. Food for thought - Duran Duran just put out a new album today with covers including one of Billie's "Bury a Friend" - it's, in my opinion a super cover. Also, Maneskin covered this song - have you heard it. If you want another Bille Halloween cover - even better for Halloween try Billie singing "Sally's Song" from Danny Elfman's Nightmare Before Christmas [channel - VENON PRESENTS, Oct 31 or Nov 1, 2021] - it will show you a different side of Billie - I guarantee you it will be worth your time and if not your time, worth your viewers time for a HALLOWEEN treat - Billie has incredible stage presence and an almost Marilyn Monroe-esque persona. "Sally's Song" - you can get it up by Oct 31, 2023. Sam Scott Thorne from Glasgow Scotland, a Vocal Coach had last reviewed Billie for her OSCAR WINNING "NO TIME TO DIE" [James Bond movie] in March 2020 and 3 years later - today - reviewed Billie singing "Sally's Song" - if you don't do it, why not watch his excellent review. Also she may get a 2nd Oscar for her BARBIE contribution "What Was I Made For?" [a phenomenal song which ISN"T your kind of music]. It's nice that the 3 of you each has a little different taste in music - that variety adds a lot of spice and character.

Billie superfan here. Dave Grohl is a big Billie fan..and that makes me VERY happy..being that I’m a big foo/nirvana/grohl fan. You should watch the live accoustic performance of the foo song “hero” with dave and Billie live..good stuff.
Watch some live or concert ones and you’ll all be obsessed. Happier than ever live is a must. No time to die at the brits as well

Billie & Finneas' music is very much my thing. I love the dark & creepy and Billie's personality and stage presence are just so appealing. She's very talented, and versatile, along with Finneas. It's refreshing nowadays.

PERFECT song for Hallowe’en. Creepy and spooky and yet, still melodic. I enjoy the almost happy melody contrasting with the dark theme. Nick is so open-minded. He continues to impress me. LOVE him.
As a percussionist, I don’t think there was anything to attract Ty to this song. Anyway, fun video. The chemistry between you 3 is undeniable. Always fun to watch.

Sad state of affairs these(current) modern times. I just listened to your review of Al Stewart's "Modern Times" and since that songs was somewhat inspired by a movie which is three or four generations ago being interpreted by an artist from two generations ago and now watching a video form the present, my mind went immediately to compare the different spaces in which the struggle for meaning takes place. Chaplain's struggle was to maintain one's humanity in the machine of the industrial amoral world of "Modern Times" - a very social space where the protagonist with an integrated personality struggles against a world gone mad. In Al Stewarts song the field of battle has move to our definition of self and the human penchant for selectively forgetting who we once were to accommodate our new assumed place in the world - revealing pitfalls in the struggle for integration of the self. Sadly the battle field seems to be for so many people these days in our most personal psychological spaces where one is struggling to knit together the remnants of a shattered self-identity. It is the sad state of affairs in our "Modern Times" that so many people gravitate to art dealing with this level of the struggle for the self. I don't criticise people for inner psychological despair - it is the human condition - and it isn't new. It just seems to occupy an huge amount of attention. We are social beings and so much of what and who we are is the result of our social surroundings so. It seems our "Modern Times" has crushed a good number of people in its coggs. The phenomenon is probably responsible for why so many people are susceptible to cults and conspiracies. For that person a common social truth is what is needed to stitch together a shredded self-identity.

Billie Eilish is a lot less fringe than most the classic stuff. Bieber is less fringe still, though Bieber isn’t going to be winning serious awards as an artist any time soon.
