I feel exactly the same as PQ. I played this mode almost exclusively yesterday for hours and had a blast! I see a lot of people are enjoying it as well. To the point where a few of the Random games I did play, had less than 12 people, that told me that most are playing this Shuffle mode! Because like PQ said, it´s FUN!! My frustration with WG is that the player base has said so many times how much we enjoy these other modes and WG brings them back for a limited time when they feel like it, while they keep on a permanent basis a game mode (Random Battles) that people don´t enjoy that much anymore. Proof is, everyone is playing this new game mode. If enough of us demand that WG makes this Shuffle mode permanent, maybe WG will someday, somehow finally listen to us! I don ´t think they will, but one can always hope I guess. PS: WG here is a little tip for you. When people are happy with a game, they tend to spend more money on it...wink, wink.
I've had some absolute thriller games in both convoy and airship escort so far and I love how increasingly wild and desperate these matches can get. There's almost like a gradual increase in you actually having to play and take action and on a lot of maps you kinda get thunneled in towards one another too which can result in some absolute slugfests to take place towards the later stages of a battle. I've also seen people for example make some amazing hero plays just to get to the last convoy ship and kill it with the very last few of their hitpoints. It seems so obvious when you say it like this but it really is an absolute blast to play this mode and such a welcome breath of fresh air!
I had a game in Napoli with 3x reload buff in arms race. My secondaries were very fast but the Schliefgen on our team who also had lutjens the secondaries looked like they had insta reload and melted an Ohios face off, like 2k a second from secondaries. PS. Would love to see the HIPPER and how it is doing
Igree PQ, this game mode is very funny. A few days ago I commented on the official WoWs site that it would be good to see old events like "space battle", these types of events refresh the game and are very fun, I hope they put these events permanently!
This game mode rocks. It's so refreshing to have people actually playing objectives and pushing, incentivizing you to take strong, aggressive positions to punish mistakes. I had my first 300k game, and just routinely having such engaging games devoid of the usual random battle bullshit makes it so much easier to go next and try to get even more damage the next time.
I've played the whole day with my Vermont in that mode. Never had that much fun ! Vermont is absolutely incredible in that game mode. Many broadsides, many cruisers and BBs, only Vermont fresh meat to completely annihilate ! Honestly, try Vermont
These new game modes are awesome. They really need to be added to the random pool. Just had a 418k loss in my Des Moines but it was insanely fun since everyone was willing to brawl. Love the vids!
I think trying to bring back the factor fun is the best WG can do to start expanding the player base significantly. Yes, you will divide the player base into columns, but this game will not live on the competitive factor alone, because randoms can be very frustrating.
I just wanna say, ive been grinding a baltimore in this gamemode and despite the double up tier, despite not being the best ship for brawling, im still having fun, much much better than randoms, Making this permanent would be a massive W for Wargaming.
Baltimore is strong as hell when played right. Also helps if there is no cv. Baltimore is way more fun than Buffalo. Des Moines is so friggin sweet when you finally get it and get the hang of it. I played poorly with mine for a while and gave up on it but have started playing it again and have been having a lot of good games now

Loving this game mode but completely agree CVs need to be cut from this mode. It's so much fun just pushing in and have a secondary build and just full sending.

I think you have a point with regards to the stats. Ever since I've breached 50% I hate the idea of dropping below again, and last weekend during naval battles I had a total of 2 wins and I don't know how many losses, and I can't completely escape the dread. I know I shouldn't care but if I could just turn them off I would. I don't wanna know how bad a player I am. 😂 I know I would play more relaxed if no one was keeping track.
About what you said about stats, I'm playing since beta, and in the last 2 years I don't look no more to the stats, also I give up of been in a clan because the fun element disappear and the stats police of the clan don't allow you to get down your stats because you want to grind some hard lines or brawl or have fun at all making this game like a job. I know that I don't get the perks of a clan and rewards, but I have the fun element back and with this mode, man, I can't stop playing, thanks for your videos.
I would argue that WG should make this the new permanent mode as it brings the game close back to it's fun origins. It would give ranked battles a different feel instead of being just a scaled down random mode. And then Asyms and spec ops like the recent D-Day ops would be great too see added as temp game types. WG has been so busy adding more toys, they've forgotten to expand the sandbox. Hopefully this game mode style will become a permanent fixture.
This mode made me fall in love with my GK again, its even more fun than schlieffen for me, getting 150-250k dmg in most of my games, its such a blast, they really gotta make this permanent, no idea why they dont, wouldnt hurt anyone
6:40 if you play only this mode, at the end of month there is very good chance weegee will send you Battle Digest clearly showing you - Most played battle type: EVENT so yeah your stats are still heavily tracked
I have been loving Vermont in this mode. Just plodding along with the objective, and blasting. People being aggressive means (in my experience) lots of broadsides and lots of citadels.
You know, I haven’t played in six months and was about to log in and try again for this mode…until the mention that games with CV and subs still destroy the fun factor. Those classes drove me out of the game and will keep me away until WG allows players to only play where those classes are filtered out.
My first and only game yesterday only half my team pushed in. So that was a bit frustrating but I still very much enjoyed what I was able to do with my Napoli.
Yea you'd think they'd keep asymms around for the co op lovers. I don't care if it's in the game or not because all pve in the game bores me so far. But I do still think it should be a feature of the game. Doesn't even make sense to take it away like they keep doing

PQ - the BIG difference, and the feedback that the whole community gave around putting things like airship into randoms is simply we can spec boats for close combat - which would be complete lunacy in randoms. I will play this mode any time it is available over randoms straight up, no question, and did over the weekend. Between this mode, and assymetric, which to be clear, also needs to be a SEPERATE mode to this one, they are actually awesome fun and I get to play boats and builds that I actually enjoy In my mind, the change to arms race sort of works in this mode, but still not entirely convinced it fits. 100% agreed would just love no CVs and Subs - but I dont think that will happen. It would actually be fascinating to see stats of player numbers etc if they disabled CVs/Subs in this mode and left them in randoms. They wont do it because that would trash the random queue. The other mode I would LOVE them to return at some point was the DD fiesta (think i might have been a halloween event) - cant remember what that was called - had all those funny skins for each DD, but was awesome fun
The stats thing is so real. It really sucks loading up random battles playing a line that is new to you or is a bit more difficult and seeing your stats plummet as you try and learn the line.
kleber is also tons of fun even without leg mod, same with kremlin and i was using kremlin legmod ( i made a stupid purchase at 2 am) but dont really regret it because i rarely use kremlin past 15km
i hope they realize that fun will keep people in...or lure new ones into the game. They have to understand that builds will always tend to the most situations type of thing. cause you never know what is coming. But here you can anticipate stuff and play completly different and its viable
They really should have a "close range" mode and Randoms for "long range". Just let people choose the kind of gameplay they want, instead of hoping they can do it. They can also release more specialized ships that way, because they can justify it as "for brawling mode" or "for sniping mode" and it doesn't have to be always viable everywhere.
No. Randoms should just be randoms. Closer version of randoms would be what we have right now as mode shuffle. Really mode shuffle just needs to be permanent
I think there is a game mode for Sub players and DD/cruiser players and that be convoy escort verses Wolfpack subs. 6 subs verse 4 DD / cruiser player verses player - AI convoy.
It shuffles through three different game modes. Convoy, air ship escort, and arms race. I think they tweaked something about the arms race but I'm not sure. I want to say the buffs are supposed to all spawn closer to the center. Less safe buffs to pick up.
I don't understand why they can't keep this mode, or asymmetric battles, as a permanent mode alongside random battles. Is their imagination really so poor that they only bring back past developments temporarily, presenting them as something incredible with a *wow* effect? Or is WG so poor a company that it can't afford to allocate additional server resources for the matchmaker?

As an eight yr member I'm SOOO glad to see this mode and have an old fashion Knife Fight like what we did "BACK IN THE DAY"

It's really fun...when people understand/play the objectives of the mode. Playing in the OH has gotten some good credits and fun

This has been really fun to goof off in. Some of the most fun games ive had is running full dpm comps with 2 friends, melting all of the the bbs.

I'd love to experiment with Commander builds in the different game modes, but the cost of constant respec makes that an unlikely option.

Attacking on convoy is still beyond broken... paired with the unbalanced spawns I just quit games so many times.
Yea the convoy mode isn't the greatest. Needs a little tweaking. But some of the convoy matches are fun
