yes!! finally some RUSH!! thank you sir. funny you called him the human “ octopus “, which is actually Danny Carey’s nickname. They call Neil “ The Professor “. and i think you can see why. he be teachin. i’m glad you started the Rush rabbit hole. keep it comin.
He was the greatest percussionist to ever live in my honest opinion. What's great though is that he did a different drum solo on every single tour so you have an endless amount of drum solos to check out. My favorite is called where's my thing here it is
RIP to the goat. Neil had stated that he didn't feel that this one of his better performances because he was battling the flu that night. I've seen them live 38 times and his playing blew my mind every time.
RIP the GOAT the PROFESSOR Enjoyed the reaction, it’s unfathomable to me how he can be playing 4 different time signatures with each limb all the while making it fit seamlessly!! The weird poly rhythms within the multitude of time signatures and making the whole thing make sense!! For me Neil was as good as it gets from his ability to drive Rush’s sound to writing probably 90% of the lyrics that takes your brain to places your not ready for and it’s like poetry The man was amazing
I love watching people watch him do that for the first time, especially drummers, who can obviously appreciate Neil at levels beyond what the rest of us can appreciate. Now, of course, since you've seen Neil and covered Buddy Rich, you should check out Gene Krupa's Orchestra doing the tune Sing Sing Sing. Or, you could check out the same tune by Benny Goodman's Orchestra with Gene Krupa on drums. Either one or both would be worth your time.
Yeah, definitely have to get in to Rush. Danny Carey actually choked up when receiving the Grammy award when he mentioned Neil Peart. First video you should watch is their music video of Tom Sawyer. The music video is a raw mashup of them recording the song in the studio.
Such a great reaction by such a knowledgeable reactor, thank you! Neil has been referred to as a "Human Octopus" by many. As well as "The Professor," "Human Drum Machine/Metronome." He practiced stick speed by learning to hold a quarter on the wall tapping his sticks. I'm not in a spot right now to buy requests, so I'll just say you would be doing yourself a favor by getting to know more of Neil's work with the band RUSH - 3 extraordinary musicians making a unique brand of genius-level music. In fact, I liked your reaction so much, I will sub.
Yep. Never heard this before. I mean I have heard Rush, but not this extended solo. Xanadu by Rush will hit the algorithm on TH-cam and it does not have a "drum" track, it has a "percussion" track.
I like the solo from 1989. Rush has been my favorite band since 1979 when I was 12. The guitarist Alex Lifeson & singer/bass player/keyboard Geddy Lee are the best as well. They are musical geniuses who are masters at their art. You should also listen to "Cotton Tail with drum solo (Buddy rich Tribute)".
Neil was an insanely technically precise drummer , Mathematical - I could only dream of having his skills. I prefer a drummers with a jazz/swing background like a John Bonham- Ian Paice - Jeff Campitelli - Nigel Olson- Ansley Dunbar ect ect But damn Neil was so damn good and I respect the fact he studied with drummer Freddie Gruber later in life
Great reaction - if your ever looking for content for the channel there's 3 absolutely amazing drum solos/covers you should check out - Gergo Borlai "Zildjian live" , Estepario Siberiano doing a cover of Eminem's "Godzilla" & Delta Empire doing a cover of Nine Inch Nails "Perfect Drug" ( I predict at least 2 walkouts )
If you want to hear the GOD of the drums, you have to check out John (Bonzo) Bonham’s 20 minute solo, called Moby Dick. Bonham has a fuller richer sound, & played his solo over 200 times during nonstop concerts that lasted 3 to 4 hours. Bonham has a bass drum foot like a Jack rabbit, hitting triplets. Drum sizes are bigger & he didn’t need all this in his kit. Led Zeppelin the greatest band ever, with The Hammer Of The GODS Drummer. If you’re a true drummer, you’ll check him out.
BAD REACTION!!!! MAYBE WATCH THE SCREEN MORE??? ♥ ♥ Ok... SCAM REACTION!!!!!! Whos controling behind??? No good!!! Maybe check out NEIL PEART Buddy Rich HONOR????? Surprises awaits!! :) AND, or... Victor Wooten bass music????????? :) “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in Him so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” ~ Romans 15:13
The best rock drummer and one of the top three overall drummers from any genre

The greatest rock drummer and one of the best lyricists ever Neil's drum solos were a hilight of every Rush concert. 😊
RIP the GOAT the PROFESSOR

🎉just a pot head. No reaction. He can't comprehend what he is watching
Need to do YYZ or La Villa Strangiato by Rush
GOAT.
You gotta go listen to Neil and Rush's Passage to Bangkok. Neil writes the lyrics also. Very green friendly.
Neil's "Pa-Diddles" are Classic!!!
Love his tribute at the end.

That or Spirit of Radio.
"I'm going straight to my practice pad." 😂❤
Great video, guys.

Oh, you were serious?
Where's my STICKS I need to go practice 😂
As Geddy Lee (lead singer and bassist/keyboardist) always says. "We have the most "aromatic" audience lol.

Check out the solo on "Exit Stage Left" - YYZ. No electronic triggers, 1981 Just pure drumming. Actually a tribute to Buddy Rich.
Play Xanadu from exit stage left if you want more Neil Peart
Neil is kicking the “f” out of that bass drum. I can’t count that fast..l 1/8. 1/16.
Periddells with his feet ❤
Rush is much much more than drum solos. Get to it, it's a life-changer.

🤣 I believe it took 7 minutes and 10 seconds to finally hit that blunt...💯🔥 reaction.
thats why they call him the professor because he kept going back to basics
Q: 🤔 "What do 🎛️ Drum Machines want to be when they grow up?"
A: 🥁 "The Professor aka Neil Peart!" 🙏🏿 RIP
Great reaction - if your ever looking for content for the channel there's 3 absolutely amazing drum solos/covers you should check out - Gergo Borlai "Zildjian live" , Estepario Siberiano doing a cover of Eminem's "Godzilla" & Delta Empire doing a cover of Nine Inch Nails "Perfect Drug" ( I predict at least 2 walkouts )
check out buddy rich impossible drum solo that was neil peart drum idol and a -lot of drummer's !
Great reaction.
Just one little thing:
Peart pronounced his name this way:
P - ear - T
Not:
P - ur - T
What do you call a video when someone's not watching it?
An MP3
You have only touched a little of what this man can do , Try the video Ton Sawer next By Rush
That was a tribute to Gene Krupa, the drummer.
I guess you're smoking too. It was not. Unless I'm smoking too much.🤪

Can you listen to Cibo Matto - “Stereotype A”
Why is this the only solo everyone critiques? Like EVH eruption vid.
This one was a fan suggestion.
@@SmokinMusicReactions still its the only one I see.
They call him the goat
Spent too much time looking down at your doobie instead of paying attention to the Professor.
Exactly...that, and repeatedly asking for dollars...not even watching. Disrespectful.
@@catherineday951could be why he doesn’t have many followers.
He looked disinterested 20sec in & he's a supposed drummer?
He thinks being a total stoner will make me think he’s a serious person 🤣
Green screen background to appear as if you're in a studio kinda cheesy. Stick to rap
Quit playing with your blunt and pay attention!
Lol
Buddy Rich was the greatest drummer ever. Neil a close second
polyrythms
Say "peert", not "pert". :) P-👂 - t

Lmao!! More caps please!
This is not his best, Exit stage left is his most energetic solo or All the worlds a stage.. Please give those a listen
Very disrespectful to not watch most of the performance!
Take it up with the person who posted the video we watched.
Stopped watching after 3 minutes as you were showing no interest to th greatest drummer ever
Lmao! Should’ve waited til the end .
Dude, you are no drummer. You are however a scammer
Lmao! How is that?
