You don’t know what you’ve lost until it’s gone… md Nani is the perfect example of this. He was an incredible (frustrating at times) talent and would nuke any players we have now for talent, end product, final pass, shooting and work rate. Top guy with a successful career because of hard work. Brilliant from Nani
couldn't agree more. used to frustrate me so much at times. but in terms of ability, he would walk into most sides now. especially ours! what a player, and seems like a good guy too.
@@Doggomorph Nani with one leg would be better than what we have now… he worked hard and produced in big moments. Rashford hasn’t achieved anything and neither has Sancho…. Their mentality and effort levels are non existent
I died with the Sir Alex stories man 😂😂😂 Nani is hilarious. It’s sad that after Sir Alex’s departure, Nani wasn’t given the respect or the opportunities he deserved.
This interview just proves all the reason why Ronaldo is so frustrated. Back then it was all hard work, ambition and standards. Now it's just vibes and when you demand more, you're labeled as a problem. Shocking times sadly.
Watching this makes me fall in love with United all over again. Seeing the kind of relationships the players had brings out the beauty of football. Great personality from Nani.
That car story is so heartwarming. Even though Nani missed a penalty and Fergie destroyed him and Giggsy in the dressing room, later on during the drive back, Fergie went “it’s okay son, just try and hit it harder into the corners”. Also speaks volumes about how Nani said sorry for missing the penalty, humble enough to do so. They must all have so much respect for SAF and he was like a father to them. Tough love but very supportive.
Him describing how it was to be neighbors with fergie, and the story about how he had to take the gaffer home after missing the penalty vs Fulham is worth money. Absolute gold
I still remember when Nani played against Bayern before we were knocked out. That performance in the UCL will live with me. His desire to sprint even when he was fatigued is what is lacking in United today.
As United fan, i’d love to have Patrick Vieira. Great player makes great team, great mentality players make top top team. Patrick is that kind of player. But lucky we have similar player like Roy.
Nani is right , this United side lack the Desire and hunger to fight for each other and for themselves. The moment they go a goal down they look defeated, that would never have happened during Sir Alex days . Players like that would have been shown the door but this United side is focused on revenue and shirt sales than performances
My favorite player in Futbol. Always played with Joy, Passion, Skills. The celebrations, dribbles, goals - just a joy to watch. Thanks for the memories Nani - they were some of the best i've had as a Futbol fan.
This interview makes one thing clear - CR7 demands more because the dressing room he was part of before he went to Madrid, was all about winning trophies .. not these hopeless boys who are called Man Utd players currently!!
This went so quick for me, remember walking to Carrington just a ten min walk from my house, Nani always stopped and chatted with the fans. Rio too, he stopped a lot too. I can name a few that used just fly past in Lambos and Ferrari and never stopped, won’t name and shame. But these two understood United fans and always stopped and chatted
That was an awesome interview guys. The stories, the passion, the honesty is magic. It’s amazing the work ethic that Sir AF instilled in his teams, hearing the physicality at training and competitive drive during training. Now of those trophies came from luck! Keep bringing on ex-players FIVE! Nani driving Sir AF after the missed penalty was hilarious and aligned to what so many have said about him being able to balance the tough feedback with caring moments.
This is so nostalgic..re living these moments... we might never ever know these stars personally, but they feel like real friends and are so much part of our growing up and lives generally.Thank you for the good old days!.
Love the confidence he had in himself. So indicative of his approach to the game. Always willing to receive the ball in tight areas, play forward passes, beat a man and make things happen. Even when it wasn't coming off for him, he'd always play with that same positivity. Always believed something amazing could happen when he had the ball at his feet. Such a shame that lesser players like Young and Valencia took away some of his game time in the latter years under SAF. Top top footballer.
The story of Sir Alex Ferguson riding home with Nani is hilarious! It’s great to get a inside look and hear stories of the dressing room/training pitch when this team was at its best
One of the most frustrating players I’ve watched. That game away against Arsenal in 2010 when him and Rooney absolutely destroyed them in the counter attack is one of my favourite memories.
Arsenal, AC Milan, Bayern were some of his best moments. His problem was consistency, in the big games he showed up. SAF should have started him in the 2011 UCL final instead of Valencia. Might have offered more threat. Shame how Van Gaal chopped heads randomly and gave very little opportunities to the good SAF players that still had value.
I love how nani pretty much said that Cristiano loves and respects teammates who also are proud and competitve, he hates soft ass snowflakes. And the fact most of the current players are soft as hell, explains why Ronaldo isn't feeling it at all.
Big up Rio, Joel, Stephen and Nani. As a Liverpool fan I don’t miss a episode win, lose or draw. What a footballer Nani was. I must say this United team is unrecognisable and the winning mentality is gone. But everyone subscribe and like the video. Always elite content

What a treat of a program. I really missed Nani after that season under Moyes when he left. It was great and a privilege to see your friendship relationship together with Rio. Nani is such a likeable funny down to earth and humble personality. It really comes out. God bless our legend Nani and to his family. All the best with the rest of his career in Australia. Another great show as always, but this one was a special one. 🙌👏
What a great interview! He said it himself, the standards were so high that 1 mistake under Sir Alex and he was out!. These days Rashford and Maguire are rubbish all the time and they still start every single game!
Listening to Nani makes me understand that this team was strong because they were not team mates but family playing for each other and standing for each other. I miss those days.
Absolutely loved this episode, we get to hear the every day bits that we want to hear, the atmosphere…..the dressing room then, you can hear the unity. And Nani is completely different t to what I expected, just goes to show…..don’t listen to English media. Excellent work guys.
Nani's my FAVOURITE United player of all time! Loved this interview. Specifically his opinion on this players lack of desire in the current squad. I swear, as inconsistent and crap people may have thought he was, he'd walk into our current team! I wish he got more minutes against us in the pre-season game.
Wow, I loved this episode.. The whole story brings back s many memories.. been watching Nani play from Day 1.. always loved when Nani came in.. Side by side with CR7, they tore teams down.. great content Rio... Thanks 👍
The fact that Nani and Rio can laugh about it now shows Sir Alex's character, he may have been a hard ass, but he had a deep relationship with his players too, as Evra said, he wasn't afraid of Sir Alex, he was afraid of disappointing Sir alex
Amazing content gents, lovely to see and hear about the real United. The hunger and desire to win from players like Nani is why we fell in love with this giant club. #GGMU
Nani is such a genuine lad! Got to see him in Melbourne. Was the only player to walk around the field and take pictures and sign manutd fans who came to support, when the united squad just went to the change rooms post match. One of my favourite players Much respect ✊🏿

Fantastic interview. Amazing insight into the United that crushed every opponent. The current group need to watch this interview. Hopefully get some inspiration from it.
Even though I am not a United fan I couldn't stop smiling and laughing about his time at United, what a funny and joyful guy and what I got most from the interview is how he described that back then players rubbed off each other and learned from one another wether setting standards, pressure or leadership which exactly what's lacking today almost everywhere especially United, great interview 🖤
His goal at Wembley against city in the charity shield!! The place erupted.... Best journey home following city fans on the motorway winding them up brutally!!! Thank you Janice
What a great podcast, and what a great dressing room we had back then , different class , mine and Ste’s face was the same expression throughout the podcast, just wanted to hear Nani tell more stories about the good ol days😂
Great Interview NANI has a great personality. Our UNITED Squads were a different Gravy back under the Boss. The Kids will never know what it meant to bleed for the Red Jersey of Manchester. za
I always loved Nani - he could be so frustrating but there was always that chance he would just pull out something outrageous. Really exciting to watch. Another player who singled out scholes; I know scholes isn’t exactly underrated but he should be mentioned in the same breath as the greatest of all time
What Nani said at 35: 11 to 36: 11 is exactly why Ronaldo owes no one anything at Man united now.. It's why you can't blame him... The young players are the ones who need to prove their worth and work hardest instead the media still put their failure on Ronaldo who has time and time again proved himself and doesn't need to do it to any club coach or fan again
The missed penalty and ride home storey has to be the all-time classic, I was in actual tears. Nani was always my "what could have been" player I always wanted him to play and showcase his skills.
Nani was one of my favourite players during he tenure at utd. He always got compared to CR7 which I thought was unfair. That first half of the season where he scored something like 12 goals before Xmas was mad. Running from the halfway line against Bolton and he deft chips 😭😍
I was just about to say this!! I feel like everyone expected him to be the next Ronaldo and judged him and alot of his performances on what Ronaldo did or what Ronaldo would have done.
