Nuzlocke Rules!:
Any Pokémon that faints must be released or boxed permanently. It is considered “dead” for the rest of the challenge.
Only the first wild Pokémon encountered in a route or area can be caught. If the player fails to catch it (ie. it flees or faints), their opportunity to catch a Pokémon in that area is lost.
The player must nickname all Pokémon they catch or obtain. (This is not technically necessary for the challenge run, but is universally accepted as part of a Nuzlocke.)
What's the cagelocke rules?
1.You are only allowed to catch the first Pokémon on each route.
2.If a Pokémon’s HP drops to zero, you have to release it.
3.You can’t use TM’s or Held Items on your Pokémon.*
Once a Pokémon faints, you can either get one from your box or take the first encounter on the next route.
After each gym there will be a Cage Match. (Check below for additional rules)
A Cage Match is a 1 to 1 Pokémon battle with special rules. A Cage Match will be held after each gym battle. A Pokémon can enter a Cage Match only twice with exception of the final 6 to 6 Cage Match. If both players manage to defeat the Elite Four and Champion there will be an additional and final 6 to 6 Cage Match which will determine the winner.
