Sun Odyssey was just in the news for a recall on retractable bow thrusters fitted to larger models. Those had the unfortunate defect that they weren't sealed in properly so if the bow hit a wave with sufficient force that the bow thruster mechanism would detach into the hull creating a massive hole that sank the boat in minutes.
This happened to one boat that had a bow thruster and was built in France. All boats with this model bow thruster were refitted under warranty. And the retractable bow thruster is not to be used in heavy seas when the boat speed is over 4-5 knots. It is used in docking not when underway.
Surprisingly reasonable price for a fully specced boat of that size. Good layout, with two cabins and a single heads, as that's what the vast majority of boats of this size needs.

Looks very good to me. Considering how well the 349 sails, this hull should be as good if not somewhat better. The only thing i would change, and that is for almost all modern boat, is a far better place for holding and working on paper charts. I know this model has a provision for charts, but it is likely a tiny space.
Who in their right minds uses paper charts today? Perhaps for long-distance cruising in third-world countries, but surely not coastal or near-coastal cruising in Europe!

It’s a nice boat, but modern hull designs don’t really punch through waves do they? The flat (Ok rounded) hulls forward of the keel slam into anything other than benign seas and the whole boat then tries to shake itself to pieces. This makes a mockery of putting the “owners” cabin fwd as very few owners appreciate experiencing negative g whilst beating into weather.

Went round sun odyssey boats at the boat show this week. The quality of internal design, product selection and finish left a lot to be desired. Doors, that would not close, cheap looking veneered board. I was not impressed I’m afraid
still looks like ikea on inside and the hull badly sprayed at bottom could see different shading

this is a pet peeve but professional journalists in this space should be able to pronounce Boot Düsseldorf correctly. It smacks of either arrogance and inattention or, quite frankly, stupidity.
