Formica, Linoleum, Pyrex, Electric coil stoves, Bread boxes, and Manual Meat grinders are all still used today. I have all of these in my home except the bread box, but I have relatives who use bread boxes.
The title is FORGOTTEN 1950s GADGETS.....Tupperware still exists, linoleium still exists, Pyrex still exists (though expensive), electric stoves with coils still exists and i still have one in my apartment, my Nana still has butter molds (they're rubber now), bread boxes still exist, hand mixer still exists (whisk & hand cranked whisk), metal ice cube trays still exists, jello mold still exist like Easter eggs or Halloween or Xmas molds for fun size hello bits and molds for hello shots, can openers still have hanging spots on the back for this reason, iron board hooks s still exist, meat grinders still exist via attachment on kitchenaid appliances..... so maybe a different title
Australian here - electric coil stoves are still in use around here. Sure, glass tops are around, but I see more coil tops. Gas stoves are rarer, mostly because we don't have natural gas piped to our homes in this town. It's bottle gas or electric. As for induction, that's really only for the newest builds.
I'd say in the US electric coil is still one of the most, if not the most common type. They are definitely the cheapest option to buy new. But depending on where you live the gas may be cheaper than electricity so that would be a consideration.
What I want to know is how they clean the meat grinder because it's probably really hard to and it's a lot of extra stuff that's hard to get out so gross 🤢, and one of the few things from the 50s that I still want is the ice cube tray because it's easier to get ice out of that than the modern ones 😅
I've installed Formica countertops. I have a workbench with a white Formica top, and a restaurant table with a wood grain top. Tupperware was developed to use what was otherwise low grade plastic scrap. Pyrex is now made from Soda Glass, the same glass that is used for windows. It is known to explode if heated unevenly. We still had a breadbox into the '70s. I think I still have an aluminum ice cube tray in some of my family's hand me downs. Wall mounted 'Swingaway' brand can openers. I haven't ironed anything in 40 years. Some wringer washers had square tubs. The grinders are still being sold. There's one in my kitchen.
This doesn't have anything to do with this video, but I didn't want this to get buried on a old video. I was just watching a Wal-Mart video that talked about overseas workers for walmart. Does anybody remember when they very first was coming to your city. Well they sold themselves by saying that they were going to be a American based store. Only things that were American made would be sold at their store. They started out lying us to us from the get go.
Please worship the CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE, THE LORD GOD and try not to worry too much about the differences between the different religions and denominations, try to think about the similarities and the things they may have in common more than the differences. Daily prayer is a fundamental part that many people do not practice although it is encouraged 🙏 "CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE, LORD GOD, I beg you to never force me to worship any false god or object and I ask you for forgiveness for my sins and immorality. Thank you for everything. Amen." 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 Please pray this now, pray the words as you read them if you cannot look and remember them 🙏🙏🙏 and please know that daily prayer will give you the help that GOD wants you to have
I love retro kitchen. Colored tiles & counters unlike everything now all white!

My apartment has an electric coil stove, made in the mid 90s-2000s (I think).
There's plenty of milk delivery going on in my upper-middle class suburb. Still some cloth diaper service!

I apologize for posting this here, Gordon Ramsays frozen dinners are GMO ingredients. His "carrots" just came out undigested in my feces.
