Gary you re awesome. Micro Four Thirds Lumix user here since 2008! (Yes, the G1) Never looked back. Ignore and reject all those toxic and idiot haters out there. Enjoy the real photography and let others being happy in their ignorance.
Gary, you are right that in photography the most important thing is not the size of the matrix, but the skill of the photographer, his ability to build a composition and work with light. If you want and have the skill, you can even shoot with a smartphone and get great pictures. Good luck!
Spot on Gary. Great video! I subscribed to your channel :) I've taken some of my best photos on my GH3 back in 2015 when we travelled to the UK. Also took some very nice 1080p interviews. That GH3 was a great camera but I'm really loving my GH6 and GH7 now. Considering adding an S5ii also soon as I do need three cameras sometimes. There are some nice smaller L mount Lumix lenses now otherwise would not consider it. FF IS better when shooting moving subjects in low light. Other than that though M4/3 is just as good IMHO.
Hi Gary!! I totally agree with you!! I am a photographer who shot mainly with 4/3 and micro 4/3 gear!!! I shoot also on film. I have the possibility to use FF digital camera but instead of that I prefer to concentrate myself on doing photography with the cameras I already have! I really appreciate photographers who are giving good advices like you!! Take care and bring to us more and more relevant videos and advices like these!!!!
I've had several cameras. Now I have a fullframe canon r6mkii but I have fun more with my panasonic g85. Just realized that gear isn't everything. It's just a tool and my g85 gives me great satisfaction.
There is a lot of marketing for FF. I was thinking, if I replaced my GX9 with the S9, what would I gain? I have decided it would be little. I would lose a lot in fact. Would I take any better photos with it? It is costly to upgrade to find myself in the same place or worse!
Or so everyone says. But they forget to add that a cheap(ish) camera will, at some point, hinder your photography. I had the Sony a7iii and at first it was ok, then I became increasingly frustrated: the screen, the dials, the button that would "self press"... Now I have the a7rV, the screen is like I wanted it, I have 4 dials I can use, ergonomics have improved... So sure, don't buy a camera thinking it will improve your *abilities*, but do buy the camera that doesn't have the limitations that frustrates you and slow you down
"That full frame photo is fantastic!" "Thanks! It's actually M43." "Oh, that explains why it's so terrible..." You cannot make this 💩 up. 🤦♂️ Tell me you swallow camera conspiracies whole without telling me you swallow camera conspiracies whole. Gary, sorry if these people are your friends and I just insulted them, but _seriously..._

Hey, good point, thank you for sharing! Yes, gear shouldn't be too excessive but also it shouldn't hinder your photography, I agree!

Let me guess, you film yourself with Leica 15mm?
This was filmed using the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 😁
