My cucumbers are doing well thos season some are just coming now! National pickling and improved long green....I'll be just snacking on the pickling ones
How do you work around the heat that the stock tank generates. I have two in full sun and plants just do not seem to do well. Does your stock tank receive full sun? Thank you for the recommendation of the marketmore cucumber I’m going to give that variety a whirl and see how it does for me. Happy growing & thank you for sharing!
All of my stock tanks are in full sun. I have had a few things that seemed to struggle in the tanks, like certain varieties of tomatoes, but not all. Planting them in the center of the tank seems to work really well. I plant more heat loving things around the edges where the soil is a bit warmer. Otherwise, I've had great luck with the tanks. Yes, try the marketmore cucumber and let me know how it works for you!
I have grown the lemon cucumber before and while it was novel and tasted ok, the skin was very prickly, and I just did not enjoy eating them for that reason. Maybe if I grew them differently they would work better? Personally I find the Armenian Cucumber to be a better version of a “melony” cucumber, even if it isn’t cute and yellow. Thanks for your wonderful videos! I have definitely caught the gardening bug and want to keep refining the varieties and techniques I use. ❤
I didn't like the lemon variety--all seeds and prickly/hairy skin.. Armenian are great. I never have luck with Marketmore! This year I'm not having luck with my cukes I bought at the nursery. All male flowers, no females.very disappointing since I only planted two this year.
I'm hearing from a lot of viewers that the lemon cucumber isn't very good. I bet you still have time to sow a few Armenian cucumber seeds. Maybe you can still get some fruit this season!
Cucurbit is awfully hard to say! /kyo͞oˈkərbət/ Don't get it backwards like me 😜
I grew the beit alpha this year. I use them for pickles, fresh, radish, seasoning, etc.
Great experiments.
Lemon cucumbers didn't do well in my area.
I just looked up the beit alpha variety and it sounds delicious! Yet another variety to try. Thanks for sharing!

That's great! Funny how some seasons certain veggies do better than others. This must be the year of the cucumber!

I'm so glad you've caught the bug! I'm beginning to understand that the search for new varieties is both addictive and never ending!

*Plant lemon grass, as it attracts lots of bees!*
My Armenian is giving me nothing but male flowers. I'm about done with cukes!
Hang in there. It will probably produce once the monsoon rains come in regularly. Don't give up!
