I have never paid more than retail for any of my steel rolexes, often slightly below. If everyone refused to pay above retail, the flippers and chancers would disappear and there would be plenty of stock available. The grey market dealers would then be able to buy at a good price and sell at a good price like it used to be. The grey market is flooded with so-called ‘hard to get’ watches at ridiculous prices. Stop paying above retail and the prices will fall dramatically. It’s as simple as that.

Love your content. I agree 100pc; if you want a Blue SS Sky Dweller, then you are best going straight to grey. It's ridiculously hard to acquire without a tremendous spend history at an AD. Absolutely gorgeous piece on jubilee!

How much would you offer for a brand new unworn yacht master 42mm yellow gold on oyster flex. I was offered it from my AD after waiting for 6 months!!!
They have become more popular in the current market, more comfortable and the Oysterflex straps are only for precious metal models which makes them much lighter also.

To me, this has the makings of a highly collectible model in say 10 years from now. If low demand eventually results in discontinuation, this seems like a model that could skyrocket in value?

I buy all my steel sports Rolex at retail from the proper supplier the AD. Pepsi, Sub, Explorer and would never pay a penny over. The grey watch market profits are finally dead. Rolex karma has come true for them as a brand and why the hell would they want third party salesmen profiting on their brand, hardware, manufacturing as a pass through, pass between quick profit that they have manufactured and built a reputation on.
