Thanks for watching! I've been thinking of doing a follow up to my original gear video, but honestly there isn't much I would change. There were a few items I probably could have done without, but I still don't think I would leave them home if I did it all over again. I didn't really need an extra change of clothes since there were so many opportunities to go swimming and stay relatively clean. It's so sunny and dry that everything would dry right off. I brought 3 power banks totaling about 27,000mAh, I could have left one of them and would have been fine with around 20,000mAh. I brought the extra because I wanted to be sure I could take tons of pictures and videos, however, there are several opportunities to charge at stops along the trail. Last, I didn't need the extra guyline that I brought, but that can be useful to have for multiple scenarios. There was nothing that I wish I had brought that I didn't. The chapstick and sun gloves were both new for this trip and were both absolutely crucial! For rain gear I brought a Black Diamond Fineline rain jacket, and I had the Montbell wind pants which are good in light rain. I had one night of rain, but the rain gear is also good for windy conditions and for trapping in some body heat. So I would definitely bring those items again.
I arrived at Cloud’s Rest nice and early and beat the people! I got so very lucky with visibility, especially considering it was a dry year. I’ve had a couple other trips where I wasn’t so lucky, but am very grateful for this one.
@@give.me.wilderness Ah yes, of course, you camped right at that nearby junction. So nice to have it to yourself, though it is an awesome place even with a crowd. But when I was there a few years ago it was so smokey you could barely see Half Dome!!! Loving your JMT vids.
Thank you, thank you, for the wonderful moments of quiet and silence in your video. It’s really well done.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
I'm loving this vlog. Thanks for doing it.

Where were all the people at Clouds Rest? :) You had great visibility out there.

What kind of camera you using? looks nice
Thank you! It’s just an iphone 12. I adjusted the frames per second (fps) for this hike up to 60 and it really makes it much more smooth.
