- The Arizona Renaissance Festival is back for 2023!
My husband and I are big geeks so we had to come as soon as we could to the renaissance festival.
Our favorite part is the many artisan shops that we take our time walking through. This year I am looking for another piece to add to my ren fair outfit with mostly includes my leather stay like corset top i bought last year. Including a black peasant dress, boots and a sun hat. I first started to look for a leather accessory to add, such as a belt pouch.
There are many shows to watch as well that are always a joy but we did not watch that many because this was the farthest we had both been away from our baby girl & we both were excited to come back home for her.

In Germany are many renfair markets and festivals throughout the year in case you are looking for something closer to you

Thanks for the video! I used to go to the AZ Renaissance Festival almost every weekend and president's day for some twenty years or more. Now that I'm older and disabled it's impossible. I miss going so much. Still enjoy seeing all the sites that I am so familiar with.

I was the guy smashing coins at the az Renaissance but we couldn't do it this year bc the guy i was with his wife passed away so he didn't want to do it but hopefully next year we can
Love your capelet! It's very cool and versitile as a fashion piece. It will be exciting when Marceline is old enough to come too.
Isnt it neat! Its so simple but adds to the outfit perfectly. plus it can tie to my bodice straps so it solely drapes off of my shoulders & doesn't cover up my outfit.
No one is more excited to take her places than me! When she is a little bit bigger, surely we will take her everywhere. She just cant go out to places for long hours at a time just yet.
Looks awesome! We went last year and are excited to go again this year in a couple weeks! Our family is going as a pirate crew!

I had those chimney rolls before and it’s sensational at my local Ren Faire. They have some amazing stuff over there, it’s incredible what you might find.
I'm going tomorrow! I live close by so it's not too far of a drive! I'm taking the whole family!

I'd love to visit this festival. As a Floridian, hard sites are so alluring to me; the closest one I have access to is the one in Fairburn/Atlanta, Georgia, which I totally recommend.
Yes, you must come at the beginning of the day. There are so many opening ceremony type shows where musicians crossover, which are unique must sees.
4:29 layers are very conflicting to me as a Floridian as well. My favorite, and the favorite of everybody around me, outfit is a knight in full chainmail byrnie and leggings topped with leather bracers, pauldrons, full length cape all in black. But it ruins me by the end of the day, especially in South Florida and Georgia when it gets to Springtime. But luckily, most of our festivals are in November and January.
Ive shown up late before on accident (the crowds back up in traffic the one road to the site) & we COMPLETELY missed all the fun fan fair. So its a must to be early from now on!
I cant even imagine how that outfit would feel in the floridian humidity. 💀 Its so dry & sunny in arizona its usually all about covering up from the direct sun but also something breezy. A good ren fair outfit could actually work out over here.

It's been a long time since I've been to the Arizona Ren Fest. We visited Tucson back in 2011, mostly for the rock and gem show, but we also caught the first weekend of the ren fest. I bought a pirate hat there. 🙂

I loved Lady Chamberlains bookshop! I was there yesterday too and got 2 books.
thats great! they have a great selection & its a quiet escape from the noise of the festival

I haven't been there since the late 90's
I went to the first one I think it was in 1989.
me and my SO bought two outfits from Boss Wench! they were super helpful! Also i really thought the food was gonna be more expensive but i found everything to be pretty fair
ive always loved looking through that shop! could 100% buy a full outfit in there, ive been tempted.
& same, i think because the food is cash only from what i saw, that helps them with pricing.
Been to Arizona Ren and it was so freaking hot lol
oh yes its so hot 🔥 I always recommend going when it opens in February because it just gets hotter each week

Oh my gosh! My friends and I were down there around 2 weeks ago and it was so cold and rainy. Definitely not used to that up there haha. We also dressed up and went through all those places! I made a tik tok of our whole journey. Was very fun, and it was nice to see your experience.

I’m over in Yuma and want to go to this ren fair so bad we had one couple moths ago over here but I didn’t make it!
Prices are ridiculous! The Feast is up to $100. We have a table filled with cups from the Feast and I will guarantee you that the food is not worth more than $25. Looks like we will not be going again to the Feast. $75 used to be pushing it. So we recommend just going for general admission and watch your spending.
I wonder how much were the crystal dnd dice? I would love to have them as a decorative piece. they combined my two favorite things
That hematite set is $185, so the crystal set is probably about the same price.
I believe $180 for the dice sets made of crystal. At least the ones my husband was considering.
Looking back at the footage, the opalite set said 'f*ck off' on the natural 1 so thats a creative choice haha

I was drinking water and saw the goose in the intro i had to do a double take and almost died because of that goose
half cloak thing is a cape... capes are waist length or shorter cloaks go full length

What are the prices like?
for the merchandise? definitely not cheap because its mostly small artisans making everything by hand. But for sure unique & quality things!

I went to this renfaire last month. Compared to the multiple fan conventions I've attended, the renfaire food prices were very affordable. When it comes to merchandise: at fan conventions, most of the vendors have items under $10 or even $5: but at renfaire, most booths' cheapest item was $20 or $25, and most of the items were significantly more than that. Hope this helps.
