in the middle of the Clyde we have the wreck of the ship MV Captayannis half submerged on a sandbank since it sank in a storm in the early 1970.... I've always wanted to try & get out to it to activate it on HF.... operating "Maritime Mobile Sunk" would have a certain kudos.

I’ve just checked this out, now that would be cool to operate from there. It’s a long way from home for me but we do have something a bit closer to home I am looking to do of a similar nature. Just off the coast of Southend (in Thorpe Bay) is part of the Mulberry Harbour. These were the floating pontoons used by allied forces in the WWII Normandy landings. You can walk out to it at low tide, but where’s the fun in that? One day maybe 🤔

Very interesting experiment, congratulations to the operator and to the pilot ! Wonder if this setup could be installed on a kayak and qualify for BOTA? Well done !

Thanks Alex, I did try operating from a kayak once but it needs a bit of refining to make it work…
