Thanks bud! It's a sony dcr-trv140e, mine is a 37mm thread which I think most if not all sony's of that era were (don't quote me on that though I could be wrong!)
It was a long time ago so can't remember what exactly I did to get it out! IIRC, it was held in place with a small plastic ring and a couple of spots of glue. Took a bit of trial and error but if you can get the plastic ring out you should eventually be able to pop the lens out. I'll try and make a video at some point to explain it better!

Thanks, you're too kind! 👊 If you look at the front of the camera on the plastic part around the lens, it should say something like ⌀37, that's the lens thread diameter, which is the size of lens you'll need. Hope this helps!
