@@eliyaskiya That's how it's supposed to be pronounced. GF is just weird with names. Shouldve been named dragalgae and florgeous instead of dragalge and florges
Dragalge is certainly an odd but interesting pokemon, lends itself to have a more defensive statline. Yet it also has Adaptability as the HA so it can also hurt with its Stab moves. So Sludge Bomb can deal massive damage to most Fairy types and Draco Meteor can deal devastating damage to anything else that resists. Only flaw is those 2 can't really hurt Steel types but that's where the other teammates can come in to help out.

Dragalge is one of my favorite Pokémon so I'm very happy to hear how well it's doing in RU! I'm a big Poison-type fan and absolutely love the leafy sea dragon theming. I also really appreciate it when aquatic Pokémon aren't water types, makes the Pokémon world feel much more diverse imo
Legit my favorite Dragon-Type, I adore Poison-Types AND freaky sea creatures so this gangly, elegant mass of rotting fins is crazy special to me. In a literal sense, too: those Special Stats are wonderful! I also love that they gave it Adaptability, both because it’s fun to use AND because it’s an adaptable creature.
This evolutionary line has one of the most underrated dragon designs. They’re based on sea dragons; a species in the Syngnathidae family. Other’s in this family are sea horses and pipefish. Dragalge mostly resembles a leafy-sea dragon. Most aren’t poisonous, but the blue sea dragon can digest the venom from a Jelly Fish species called the Man-o-war and turn it into their own defensive venom. Super cool.
Big fan of Druddigon, something about a bulky pure Dragon with rocks (and 2 great abilities for a rocker, Rough Skin and Mold Breaker, punishing Spin and Magic Bounce respectively) + Pursuit + a really strong Outrage has always been so cool to me
(Fire/Steel)/Dragon are also neutral to Fairy, but Steel/Dragon is the real showstopper with Dialga & Duraludon, and eventually Hisuian Goodra being alright.
With Duraludon, it was almost good. It had Body Press but lacked a special move that was either a Fire, Fighting or Ground type that could hit Steel types super effectively.
I honestly always like dragalge because it's like a floral dragon. It's like seaweed but like a subaquatic flower, and I think that's so cool. It's actually a pretty great toxic spikes pokemon due to being able to set toxic spikes then dragon tail to spread poison, and maybe also Acid Armor to make it good on both defenses while it's phasing. All this and it's also a black sludge special wall and adaptability attacker.
In my main RU team I very successfully use bulky leftovers (max spdef, leftovers optimized hp, remaining sp.atk - 8evs in speed for other dragalges) tera water, with toxic (noticed everyone has poisons/boots/levitators/flying and tspikes end being a waste) draco meteor, sludge bomb & surf (gets adaptability boost as well when tera, has removed unsuspecting both salt and sand castles in 1 hit), great answer for any ground wanting to hurt ur poison type and no grass type wants to come in to dragalge, and other water types are very afraid of meteor as well, plus any wall is afraid of toxic (naclstack wont tera fairy or else die, but tera water will wall it)
Dragalge is a pretty dang cool mon! I personally always like running Haze on it to stop setup sweepers in their tracks as well as reset stat drops from Draco Meteor.

It's funny that now we have a box art poison/Dragon pokemon in eternatus.
