    I love these so-called series of options where all players can pass shoot and cut. I learned a lot of these actions on the triangle by just a 20 minute video. I love this offense much!

      lets be real those were some weak NBA years... even dwight howard made it to the finals on a team without any good players...
      i also think pau gasol would be pretty sad that you dont notice him as a superstar in his prime... he is a 6 time nba all-star after all....

    yo phil, NY still got love for ya. you a champ bro. every good team in the league today has triangle stuff embedded in their offense. just because it didnt work as GM doesnt invalidate the centrality of the triangle to modern basketball

    I recall NBA Live 2000 (PC) memories when I was young.... whenever I play the reconstructed Bulls dynasty or the Shaq-Kobe Lakers, that is the only offense that I run. Sideline Triangle....

      No Winter was. Jackson took credit for something he didn't create. Just like how Africans created the first keyboard but I didn't know until historians wanted to stop the lies they kept repeating. It's not just the era of information it's the era of truth.

    Just looking back on this video and after two years of the Knicks I can say if you have young suds like Jordan, Kobe or Curry this offense works great. Shooting, conditioning and passing are area of strength for success of any team employing that triangle offense. A PG that has good to great size is also a must (no undersized players in Phils system) The 2016 Knicks need a PG with a outside shot and a high basketball IQ desperately also a young Pippin type SG would be nice.

    PHIL JACKSON GOAT 🐐 TEX WINTER ORIGINAL OG 🐐also without him , theirs no triangle . Goes back to INVENTOR/ hall of famer SAM BARRY , who coach Tex and also hall of famer coaches bill Sharmen. ,And Alex Hannum who implemented triangle at times and we’re also successful and won 🏆 MULTIPLE CHAMPIONSHIPS IN MULTIPLE LEAGUES !! IVE played basketball 🏀 my entire life and followed the game for over 30. years and in my opinion triangle best offense can run 🏃‍♀️, can run it big ball 🏀 inside or small ball 🏀 outside . it’s offense works for everyone and spacing perfect that’s why it’s best team offense and so effective and will be as long as theirs basketball they’ll be the TRIANGLE

      Rather low, for reference look at Jordan and Kobe’s apg averages. But the assist were spread out amongst the whole team, rather than one or two guards handling the ball all the time

    Pure bullshit....... Stern and Refs had something to do with this bullshit.. It's the same 3-4 plays over and over.. When it's figured out.. Defense is conditioned and now your freelance scorers (Jordan, Kobe,Pippen, Shaq) can go to work without doubles.. Phil is running the same offense he was using when he was a Knick.. "Perpetual Motion" there is a natural triangle at all times if you space correctly all the time.

  • @RobotShlomo
    @RobotShlomo 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    The triangle offense is a sham. The triangle offense was "pass the ball to Jordan / Kobe, and everybody stand around and watch him". We see how well it worked with the Knicks. (Sarcasm)

    • @razkable
      @razkable 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yep post/ isolation...the bulls and lakers ran maybe 2 triangle plays a quarter if that.....usually when the starters were on the bench lol...it worked maybe 4 times a game lol

    • @cr8tive243
      @cr8tive243 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You clearly haven't seen the Bulls and Lakers play. As a die hard Laker fan, the ball was moving HEAVILY. In fact, if you noticed, the role players of these teams earned a solid amount of points. Derek Fisher, who wouldn't even see any minutes on a normal team, average 12 ppg, pretty solid. The Triangle made use of every player on the team.

    • @somerandomguy84
      @somerandomguy84 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The triangle and offensive systems in general have more to do with helping out anyone on the team who ISN'T the superstar. Giannis is a future HOF, but his team won just 44 games. No offensive flow. Anthony Davis bounced out in round 2. You need a star AND the system
