This song is so much fun on saxophone. If you played any saxophone on this piece, you are so lucky. I love Glenn Millers music. I want to so play this in my band.
I actually got to play In The Mood twice over that past year. I love that song so much. A lot of times, I just randomly play the beginning before band starts. XD
Played first trumpet my third year of playing, embarrased myself in front of 300+ people as I had completely bombed it. Am now a professional. Feels good man
No too fast. Not what the arranger intended. We MUST comply to the arranger’s original intentions or else it is not worth performing the piece and a disrespect.
Sometimes i’m super grateful for that😂 My teacher makes everyone with solo stand up and like dance while playing. The trombone solo does sound so nice though
Flutes can be a great asset to a jazz group. Sim Flora is a great jazz trombonist/flautist. Wonderful skills he has. Any sax player wanting to join a professional touring jazz group has to know how to play multiple saxes, clarinets, and flutes.

I’m going to try to get my band to get this, I play Alto Sax 🎷
Bassoonists on the other hand are given basically a tuba part

Well that gives me HOPE! Thanks!! 🎺
Fabulous arrangement. Thank you Paul Murtha.
I enjoy playing this on the Trumpet.
Glenn is my grandmother’s favourite composer
Sounds better @ 1.25x speed.
I don't know. That seems a little fast. I think it should be in between the normal and 1.25x zone.
1.25 times speed is about what my band played the first song at.
I agree but would be to fast for some bands
What a great rendition of A string of Pearls
One of my favorite.
Pensylvania 6-5000
Excellent work !! wonderful arrangement. Bravísimo from Argentina !!
Anybody here who plays sax
yeah
Just tried playing sax on this. I like how they basically have melody the whole time. XD
I joined a band and i play 2nd and we preform this evening
In the Mood should close out the piece in my opinion. Great overall though.
it does the last lick is the sax line from in the mood and the last chord is the same concert chord it ends on
I wish we have this
we play this in band
the swing girls did play the first song in the movie
In The Mood?
Dzieki wielkie
1.25x playback speed. Thank me later.

@@HelloooThere don’t be a smart alec
@@utvols4622 I guess you enjoy poorly adapted arrangements
@@HelloooThere I guess you’re just trying to beat me down to your level
Factually incorrect.
are there any other arrangements of swing bands for concert band like this, not just a jazz ensemble?
Should be faster, but still good
Pat Shelly 1.25x playback speed
Awesome
Our 8th grade band played this
Delayne Cerda hey daughter.... thought I grounded you from your phone
I played this in 8th grade too!
Oh, I really wanna do this piece now!
Amazing!
Bass guitar in school brass orchestra
Well this must be a bari players dream, no more Basslines for them, but for bassoon however, for concert band it isn’t well suited for basslines
4:20 what are they saying?
Pensilvenia six five thousand (6500)
turn to 1.25 for a better speed pls, this is just so slow
That pisses me off😭 Paul or whatever gave the damn Saxes the actual main part that the Trombones have, cmon bruh give us SOMETHING.
Sometimes i’m super grateful for that😂 My teacher makes everyone with solo stand up and like dance while playing. The trombone solo does sound so nice though

楽譜代高そうだなー(>_
It's a shame that the arrangement had to have flutes in it, great otherwise

This piece sucks if you are percussion
If you can't play the drums, yeah
