      @@ursusworkshop549 I know you're doing a challenge but at the end of it you will have so many designs to offer people when making furniture.

    Is dowel method stronger than using screws?

    What are you using to dye the wood? I have been wanting to do colored woods.
    Also here from Kat mosis woodworking youtube channel. He copied your rainbow dovetail.

    Very clever idea. How did you dye the colored rods?

    • @ursusworkshop549
      @ursusworkshop549  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I bought the veneer online and glued it together. They are dyed maple skateboard veneers.

    Really cool! How did you tint the dowels?

      They are made from skateboard veneer. You can buy them pre-dyed online.

    Man that's cool. How'd you make that jig? Most ones on TH-cam involve a chisel to cut them

    • @ursusworkshop549
      @ursusworkshop549  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Maybe i should have filmed that too. It is kind of like a music stand set to exactly 45 degree. I clamped a piece of scrap onto the drill table to move the jig left an right.

    Super cool! Did you stain or dye the dowels? How did you set the angle for the dowels with the jig and the drill press? Your designs are fabulous! Thanks for sharing!

      The dowels are made from skateboard veneer. You can buy different colors online. I set the angle of the jig at 45 degrees. It is essentially a mini music stand. Thanks for watching!

    Looks like you stole that idea from another youtuber. Dowel splines.

      Dowel splines are nothing new. You can find them in old woodworking books too!

      metamech why so bitter? Millions of users learn and adapt after being inspired by others! Not everybody has a need to be recognised and credited. Just watch and be happy.

      Sanjay Vekaria because it takes time and money to create new ideas. If you came up with a new cancer drug, shouldn’t you at least be credited for the discovery?
      It’s dishonest to take someone else’s work and not give credit. It’s why Creative Commons was created.
      I mean, with your dumb logic, why do music and movie companies hold rights to things?
      🙄
