4 years on. I saw your collaboration with the Wynns, and look forward to following your life on a traditional sailboat! Being an American, I also enjoy the British culture and humour (see, I used your spelling!)
I’ve watched a few of your more recent videos, including the bloopers while you were with the Wynns. This is a great companion channel to the Wynns. Like with the Wynns, I’ve decided to start at the beginning with your channel. I look forward to catching up on your journey. As there are only two channels I’ve gone back to watch every video from the beginning, I hope this conveys how much I enjoy your videos. Cheers. D.
Just finished your last episode from season 6 about to go to "supervise" your new homes manufacture. Thanks again for being so awesome and keeping this channel up and running!
Another Gone With The Wynn’s subscriber here for the first time and I’m starting with your first video and plan on slowly moving forwards to your latest video. Really happy I decided to check your channel out
Thank you for inspiration. I watched sail life and svdelos before. I have changed my life style last 4 years. I took basic safety & crew trainings, sailed from Toronto to Majorca last summer, wrote a book. I plan to sail from Majorca to Bodrum/Turkey and around Mediterrian in 2018. I hope soon I would like to find experienced team to sail around the world. I love your videos now because you share your knowledge, you talk more than you show view. I bought wireless headphone to listen you better while working.. Thank you and safe & fun trips..
Watching your videos for the 2nd time around. EP1 down now to binge watch the rest. This is the best channel and you two are a pleasure to watch. Keep up the amazing work and be safe!
thank you so much for sharing your journey. this has def made my husband and i seriously consider doing this. ourselves. what a lifestyle and what an adventure. so look forward seeing your future posts
It's always been my dream to sail around the world but finding the right person to do it with has always been the issue... When I married my wife 5 years ago I told her of my dream and she vehemently stated she would never be able to handle it. However, she had never sailed before... Fast forward 5 years and she's hooked on sailing now and it's my mission to gently persuade her that it's actually doable. I came across your channel when I watched your recent video on how much it costs and plan to watch all of them now. Our mortgage is nearly paid off and I've already been looking at boats- a Southerly was actually one I was impressed with, so I'm interested in seeing how she performs. Teryza, you remind me a lot of my wife (we are Aussies) and when the time is right I'll sit her down to watch these videos. Hopefully, you guys can help make my dream come true!
I'm the same as Christian having just discovered your channel after watching your Ruby Rose 2 vid. As a Scotsman I love the way you're prioritising beer before water :) Looking forward to catching up (binging) and following you guys on your journey - stay safe :)
Awesome. Good luck with your recovery my friend. Just don’t want the frog episode in the bvis until you can deal with laughing without damaging your sutures. :)
Superb video..!!!! Got to do the jobs before you enjoy the rest of the fun stuff.. BUT at least you're doing it in a crappy cold wet country like here.! Looking forward to seeing more.. Warren s/y Legend
Hey guys. We just got back from Antigua a week or two ago. We were visiting to look at a Moody 46 (which we decided to pass on) and are flying to London and Spain in the next week or two to look at two Oysters. We found Antigua to be nothing short of charming. We'll have video up at our "Sailing at 9000" channel in maybe a month, but need to get all the BVI footage we took in December up first. I'm sending a link to this video to my wife, who's traveling in India at the moment, as bringing a boat back from Europe is going to mean traveling somewhat as you have. I'm thinking a summer of sailing the Med followed by either ARC or boat-on-the-hard for another season. Great work on conveying the ups and downs of what you're doing.
Just watched your last video where you told about ruby rose 2. immediately thought super video and is now as a new subscriber started with your first video :) I look forward to following the things you have already experienced, and then I will see if I can catch up on your section so I can follow you in the future :)
Awesome awesome awesome!!! Me and my wife are aiming to get our boat and become 365 lives boards. Sailing to NY in the summer to see family, and escaping to the Caribbean to spend most our life on anchor. Any suggestions for remote islands in the Caribbean? Places we can anchor and fish, sustain ourselves for long stretches at a time?? Thanks for the inspiration, we love seeing people do what we are trying to do... just makes it that much more real for us! If that makes sense. 😊
Hi guys, enjoying your frank and honest videos. Have subscribed to follow your adventures. Hoping to learn a little bit about how to do it, the problems and issues experienced. How you guys come to be doing this, get to Caribean and consider sailing as a lifestyle? We are contemplating the same. Thanks for the great videos.
hooray. Another sailing channel! Subscribed. It's cool to see another Adelaidean out there representing - You're 'slightly English' accent didn't fool me Terysa ;-)
Lots of good advice- My suggestion for someone...buy a blue water boat that is fully equipped at a price that you can afford. If such a boat doesn't exist be patient and make more money until it does.
Ive just subscribed. Been binge watching all afternoon. Im looking to sell my BB and start my boat journey. I must say Im very suprised at the costs involved in owning a boat. I have no sailing, boating experience at all. Im based in Italy but Im from London. Can you point me in the right direction to what to do first please.? Like where do I go to get a skippers license.? and some other basic start up knowledge that I would need. Thank you for reading.
RIGHT.I did not take twin rudders into the equation. We are about to purchase an Island Packet with out bow thrusters,(though I am not at all opposed to them) and there are the conflicting schools of thought. " can't live without one" vs "seamanship and practice".I'll bet that even Capt.Nemo would use a bow thruster docking in tight quarters with a strong current and cross wind.I sure would.
ca we get some kind of back story ? i think it is important for the "likability" factor or at least the "understandability" of it all :D coming from an expert of watching cruisers channels on youtube eh eh
What year was she built in? I was under the impression Southerlys had a raised salon. Distant Shores TV have had 2 Southerlys in the 15 years they've been making films about the cruising lifestyle and both the 38 and 42 had that feature allowing clear views to the outside and all around when sitting at the salon table. Maybe it's an optional feature?
If you open another gmail a/c in your own name, you can then log in to youtube from it. Just make sure you always open this new email a/c first then open the youtube via it. Then open your dustless blasting email. I have 3 gmail for 3 businesses, I always open as above - where I have all my subscribed channels. At times youtube asks which youtube a/c I want to login to, if that happens I quit the browser altogether, dust off history with Ccleaner to rid browsers history, then start again. real quick no fuss - set up for the nites vlogs! (after replying to business emails - well, deleting quarter of them!) Hope this helps.

Hey mate, we have a video about how to start called “how to start sailing”. It should help lots
Great 1st video guys.
Can i ask what was the breakdown costs of the $1000 bill? Surely that wasn't just for hauling back in.
You looked so youthful back in the day😜😇
Oh dear!
good luck, will be watching your videos and adventures.

Hi, we ran into you and Tersey
How. Any many US$ did Nick say the boat yard bill was?
Do you like your bow thruster? How often do you use it?
RIGHT.I did not take twin rudders into the equation. We are about to purchase an Island Packet with out bow thrusters,(though I am not at all opposed to them) and there are the conflicting schools of thought. " can't live without one" vs "seamanship and practice".I'll bet that even Capt.Nemo would use a bow thruster docking in tight quarters with a strong current and cross wind.I sure would.

Dont want it sweating keep your bulge dry if it's got water in it the heat makes the bulge water evaporate and make condensation on the Inside
excited lol.
What are you guys doing in the other 7 months? Working?
Is this the same Southerly 38 listed for sale with S&J Yacht Brokerage on Yachtworld.com for $375K?
More details needed.
Hi, What design is your yacht ? She is very pretty :)
Never say what it cost to go from Port port I know there is a fee can you talk more about that
Ruby Rose is fucking beautiful!!!! What year is she?
2012. And yes she is ☺
Nice.......... It's like being there....without having to work... JK I'd love to give a go at cleaning..
then sail...
Ha, quite a difference, in physical appearance, Ep1 vs Ep21.......rejuvenated.
Tell us about your boat and what's your plan. My name is Stuart by the way, not X-it Blasting. Gotta fix that somehow.
Good plan!
(after replying to business emails - well, deleting quarter of them!)
Hope this helps.
Do all my subscriptions transfer over?
where is ruby rose????????????
how much was that bill from the marina..? I am sorry I couldn't catch what he said..!!
$500 for 6 months on the hard stand? That sounds incredibly cheap!
Ok, so they didn't refund $500 from the $1000 lol. Regardless, even a grand is pretty cool for 6 months storage and other "stuff"...
