You are great. Really a big inspiration for me as a brand designer learning how to do illustration/learning new skills (currently working on Uber and applying lessons learned from other fields). As I am watching this I wish you would have integrated the typography to blend with the illustration. I feel the logo (and especially the dropshadow) is so out of place. When I look at Hearthstone for example. The logo just feels right on top of the artwork. As someone who deals with branding on a daily basis, I feel you really take some liberty with the logo here made it part of the art piece. Anyways. Love, love your work. And keep watching your videos.

Still, the composition is neat.
One of the best books about composition i have ever read are "The Famous Artist's Course books (Bernie Wrightson said he had learned from them and from the 60'50's horror movies), Framed Ink (delicious), rendering in pen and ink by Frank Guptill( very old stuff, but the more old the precious is the treasure ^^) Molly Bang's "Picture This" (even a Kid would become a master on composition with this book), hope someone read this lol, it would be nice from you Trent if you talk about art literature that has inspired or teached you, ty for your videos.

Man, I wish I could work with you for just a day or two. I think I would get so much out of that. Sucks that I am too bad at drawing to be working with you ever. Sad times
Why ?? Because FIRST and Foremost your ATTITUDE is completely wrong. Let me explain. You start with the negative and compare yourself, and only see what you CANNOT do. You need to stop fighting with your mind, take a pencil in hand and sit in silence, do NOT put your attention on your thoughts because as you can see you get easily discouraged, wait and let them pass, keep your attention on your imagination, study things that interest you without listening to the mind comparing and dividing, that's what the mind does. You need to start in a positive frame of mind, that's how the mind functions best, because you're not limiting yourself to this or that thus your mind is open ready for whatever may come as Bruce Lee put it :).

not sure if he will reply, but if you are really serious about it probably go for an art school. Learn the basic foundations for art first.
