Beautiful music by Mark Snow. And a winderful show Millennium and X-Files. We will not see their like again. They were the last intelligent shows. "Luminary" is one of my favorite Millennium episodes. Also "Amerta".
I liked Millennium, especially "Luminary". To me it was the most memorable episode in the series. I wish more episodes had been like that, which didn't rely on gore to tell the story. I really think that someone should remake or re-mix parts of this episode just to keep this monologue in the public consciousness. It's too awesome to let it just fade away.

Thanks for posting. Although it was uneven, Millennium was one of my favorite series ever. Frank Black's character was a real hero for the dawn of the new century-- a man who sought to understand and gain enlightenment, as well as to protect when he could, engaging with and battling dark forces despite his misgivings about whether humanity could be saved-- or was worth saving . Characters, setting were all of a piece, and writing was consistently above average. Mark Snow's music evoked the spirit of the show to perfection. It still haunts me,

This is a wonderful mix that you have done. Luminary was always my favorite episode of Millennium. The scenery and music are both wonderful and beautiful and with the addition of Alex's journal is perfect. I first saw the episode and enjoyed it when I was 26 so many years ago, and even now at the age of 43 I think that this episode was one of the most entertaining things I have seen on TV.
Also, I didn't know about this when I first saw this episode, but this story reminds me of the Movie, "Into The Wild" about a young guy named Christopher McCandless, who died while hiking through Alaska.
I've read the book as well. Fantasic. I think 'Into the Wild' film was based on this. I also heard they have moved the iconic bus as they claimed too many people were losing their lives looking for it.
