    When pouring from a container with the spout on one side, you should pour with the spout on top not the bottom. It took me years to figure that out.

    • @cold02rex

      The chug chug will ruin any pour. Wise words.

    • @stardustjustlikeyou

      I usually pour containers like that from the side so the liquid has less distance to fall and splash

    • @ralphlamao
      @ralphlamao 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      i learned this from the back of a quart of Mobil 1 engine oil

    • @BioHazard36
      @BioHazard36 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      To elaborate on why: having the spout at the top means that air replacing the liquid flowing out always has a place to enter, it's never totally blocked out by the liquid. This eliminates the tendency to 'burp' and splash liquid everywhere when a big gulp of air suddenly rushes into the container.

    • @romanelli9999
      @romanelli9999 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That will work too but, when it's a full container you're better off pouring it from the top.

    As a newbie about to invest you must have these three things in mind
    1) Have a long term mindset.
    2) Be willing to take risk.
    3) Be careful on money usage, if you are not spending to earn back then stop spending.
    4) Never claim to know - Ask questions and it is best to work with a financial advisor. I made it as a newbie by working with Josh Rager and today I can show a lot of my achievements.

Now, many years later, I'm an engineer at a research and development facility where I help design products to test water across the world! Our latest venture will be used to help developing nations create water infrastructure. I will say that you definitely played a small role to where I am now. I'm excited to dive into your TH-cam. Please don't purchase from the Amazon link, they are a disgusting company. Ugg boots, which are Australian and a name used by all makers here, yet some how UGG in the states think it's acceptable to take legal action over the name against Australian companies. Support Australian companies selling Australian uggs and you'll get a quality item you won't have to repair unlike the cheap knock offs from big corporate companies (UGG America is owned by Deckers)

    Just when i was about to write a comment, i stopped just to have a look at what other people had to say about this. I'm kinda glad i did.
    When @Raul Perez wrote, "here i am, watching a man simply fixing a pair of shoes"... he extracted pretty much the essence of this. There is no overacting, no overexposition of what is about to be done. This is "just Adam", doing something he needs. He is far from stardom at this point, he doesn't need to lay out his plan, or what tools he uses, and no connected story to this. He repairs his shoes, and he doesn't need a timelapse for it. He doesn't overexpose the footage, he just takes his minute to get something done.
    The maker, that every "hobby maker" is looking up to, is just doing his thing.
    I totally love it.

    Would flipping the heel loop so it's um...|/#\| be better (like a lower case sigma instead of a smooshed c)? Then pulling on the front will tug one side of the threads, and pulling on the back a different set, so you'd have less directed tension while using?
    I 100% realize this would be much harder to sew.

    I'm curious about the technique differences between the two repairs.
    In the first video you used un-diluted barge glue, applied to both surfaces, dried a bit with hairdryer, pressed them together, then hammered a little.
    The second video is a lot more deliberate and careful. You diluted the barge glue, and do two coats instead of one. Almost like the first coat is a primer, and the second coat is supposed to glue the first coat to the second. Your technique of pressing the two together is a bit different by having something hard on the other side to press against, and potentially more thorough.
    Is the second video something you've learned in the mean time and represents more "proper shoe repair technique"?

    After seeing the spillage at 1:21.. I have a very useful tip for liquid containers, that have an opening on one side, not central to the container.. .. Never try to pour like you just did, with opening facing the downward, rather have the container on it's side or if filling a much larger container, with the opening uppermost.
