green manuevers switched to blue for color blind players. those tiny arrows in green or red were very hard to distinquish for color blind folks. blue makes it much easier.
also for target locks. use only put one on the targeted ship, and the number and color should coordinate to the ship that is attacking.

The Direct Hit still counts as 2 Damage, but its specifying that you take another card. The wording before says it counted as 2 damage, but you didnt draw another card. Fuel Leak is freakin nasty

The green to blue switch is because colour blind people can't tell the difference between green and red on the dial. That's why all good multiplayer FPS games use red vs blue HUDs.
David , I really doubt it. If is was the case, nothing important, like fire arc would go blue too.

Why get rid of the point costs on the cards and force people to download an app? I play with my kids, not all of whom have phones. They're not allowed to make their lists without me seeing them any more? What does this gain the game?

Jeramy Ware So they can change point costs without having to make a stupid FAQ.
first: if you are playing with kids, just build a squads for them. second: ffg released point cost pdf's so you dont need the app and just print those.
Use the online tool, then convert your builds to .pdf and print, pretty easy.
They have quick builds for more casual games, making it easier to play games without doing math beyond single digit adding.
I dont get why the Core set is still only Empire and Rebells. I am a casual Scum Player and the Core Set is 35€ just for a few lines at the maneuver templates and the damage deck. I will just draw and write the new stuff on my old stuff and dont buy this useless set... Why not put 1 scum, 1 rebel and 1 empire ship into the set so people can choose ? New players will now always tend to start with the rebells or the empire. Not smart
Mage Knight did 2.0, it died. D&D Miniatures did 2.0, it died. Mechwarrior did 2.0, it died. In fact I can't think of a single miniature tournament game system that went 2.0 and forced people to abandon all of there existing pieces or reinvest large sums of money to "upgrade" there existing pieces that didn't go under.
I'm not against 2.0, but I should be able to download free cards that I can tuck in with the existing 1.0 card (proof of ownership) and dials only upgrades should be insignificant costs (though the dials I saw here are the same, just blue instead of green) and not have to reinvest hundreds of $$$.
Or let me send all my old stuff for replacement 2.0 pieces.
I feel pity for those who dived into this game and I feel so glad I opted playing Star Trek instead of Star Wars.
Juliano rego monteiro I feel sorry for you honestly. Not being funny, seriously. Having xwing 1.0 ships and cards is a great feeling.
Xwing 1.0 is great fun and upgrading to 2.0 for many multi faction players will be around $200. That is not expensive for a pre painted high quality miniatures game.
I have about half of xwing 1.0 and I’m not at all sad or sorry for the games huge popularity and success. So yea, I hope you’re enjoying Star Trek AW but I really think you should try X-Wing 2.0 if you’re at all a Star Wars fan!
We now have 2 ways to play our favourite game and also the new escalation mode is very cool. The new cards are beautifully designed and many ships now fly much much better. It really is just more of what we love but this time it’s refined and matured. New ship sculpts. A new t65 x wing ship with moving s foils!
There are more ships with moveable configurations coming.
I hope you feel a little less sorry for us! I know many xwing players are absolutely delighted and excited and thrilled... Thanks to FFG. I hope FFG do Star Trek one day. But for now I want FFG to stick with XWing and keep the goodness coming!
Why it states review in the title when you didnt evwn read all of those first? Evane is diffrent compleetly because you dont ADD and evade just CHANGE DIE RESULT and that a big one because 3 agility ship can now block 3 hits while previously it could block 4. Thats a big change and you compleetly skipped it.
I don’t like that yo have to spend $150 dollars on a game that you have already spent lots of money.... they did it to expensive... I dropped the game .
You can still play 1.0 with all the stuff you have, long time players like myself welcome all the changes this brings.
In my case it would be far more the $150 as I believe I would need multiple upgrade kits for all the ships I have. As to playing with 1.0 stuff, will there always be 1.0 tournaments and will all new 2.0 ships be released with 1.0 components? If not, then you are wrong Cole.

No, cheapest would be free. $150~$300 > than FREE.
Comparing this to GW would be an apples to oranges deal. GW is a miniatures company and there entire business model revolves around forcing people to buy new models. People getting into a GW game should easily be aware of the continual cost associated with the hobby.
FFG is a game company and up until now the only comparable "upgrade" was Descent, which was ~$20-$25 to upgrade EVERYTHING to reuse old minis. Its unreasonable to expect anyone to have anticipated such a huge cost to keep playing with the stuff you've already bought from FFG.
Also, Descent is not a tournament game so you could continue playing 1.0 forever if you wish as you only need 1 copy to play. X-wing is a tournament game, so you need to find other people still playing 1.0 and if tournaments go to 2.0 only you may in fact be forced to fork over the $$$ or quit.
You've clearly never played Warhammer if you think that's expensive for an update
