Unfortunately, I can't speak Japanese, so much of the song's meaning is lost on me... though I have a general idea. However the more I hear of enka, the more I fall in love with the genre, Tagawa's performance here being no exception. The melodies are always so evocative, and the vocals so passionate... I can really feel each singer pour their heart into the song. That emotion is what I resonate with.
