I worked in a bridal shop in college and the woman who said your dress does not exist is not a good bridal consultant and probably was just annoyed that they didn't have what you were looking for and wanted to make the sale. your dress definitely exists, even if that means needing to add sleeves/working with a designer to change some things

I was watching this? And was shocked at how badly the first store did picking out dresses for Mia 😢they let this girl down! But luckily she found her dress in real life!
Hi Mia! I’m a wedding planner and I have seen MANY dresses in my career, and first of all, your dress MOST definitely exists! The sales rep was probably trying to make the sale. With that said, the dress that you were confused to why you didn’t feel right in it (although it was the closest to your style) I think the reason you felt that way was because the bodice enclosed and overtook your upper frame. You have a very delicate upper frame and in most dresses you have shown on your channel that are sweetheart, they really have to be closer to a Demi-cup look so that it doesn’t look like it’s swallowing you :) I LOVE the fairytale over the top embellished look on you, because you remind me of a fairy! Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise! The square neckline looked classic and beautiful, but will that look be satisfying to you on the long run? Try a scoop neckline if you can find one! Also, There are dresses that are satin and lace and they don’t clash-another misconception on your rep’s guidance. I would look into transition dresses that have lace skirts that are removable for the reception and underneath is a slimmer empire style skirt in satin! Check count Aire Barcelona dress line!
I was also thinking this about it being overpowering on her frame. But as a bridal consultant I’ve told many a bride that they don’t have to know why they don’t like something if they truly can’t put their finger on it- it’s like a date that was slightly off. You don’t have to analyze why you don’t like the person and when the right one comes you’ll know because it will feel completely different and that “off” feeling won’t be there! 😊

Dress 14 is gorgeous on you, the neckline was really flattering and the satin looks amazing. I think if there was some beading to give it more detail and the sleeves that you tried on with the other dresses would be perfect

The bridal consultant at my first 4 stores basically told me my dream dress didn’t exist and tried to convince me to just buy something I liked without having the “moment”
The 4th store I went to had exactly the style I was looking for and I cried when I got my dress.
Don’t let them tell you your dress doesn’t exist.
On top of that she could hire someone to make the dress she's imagining too
I honestly feel like they do that because they work on commission and their job is to sell the designs at the store, so they're just lying to try to sell something. There's no way, especially with the access online to various brands and shops these days, that she wouldn't be able to find THE dress that she wants
@@punxie89 that’s 100% what they are doing. While they do want you to find a dress you like, they do need to make money too. They can’t direct all their customers to another store otherwise they will lose a lot of money. They just gotta try their best to find a dress they think the customer will like that’s within the store and convince them it’s the one.

Dress #14, my fave by far. The pockets and petal-like shape, so gorgeous. Reminds me a bit of Thumbelina in her flower home.
When I got married (15 years ago) I bought the dress that my “entourage” liked the most, not the one I did. Make sure you go with where your heart leads you. When choosing the dress, go with what you feel and not what you think. The perfect dress is out there, whether you design it yourself or find it in a store, and you will know it when you find it, just don’t overthink it. Congrats!

Dress 4 was absolutely gorgeous and would 100% be my wedding dress. Looked like an elegant fairy dress, and would look amazing if you added a poofy sleeve! Fitted you amazingly as well and really showed off the beauty! I also loved dress 6 a whole bunch too! :)

The dress I wanted didn't really exist *IN REGULAR BOUTIQUES* either, so my mom is going to make it and it will be GORGEOUS! Don't be afraid to find someone who can design your dream dress for you if you can't find it in stores.

I’m not getting married anytime soon but I’m the sort to really plan things out. I was just casually looking at some wedding dresses to see what I liked and I ended up accidentally deciding exactly what I want. So now I got this very precise image of what I want for my wedding dress and I’m gonna be disappointed if it’s anything less but the problem is I haven’t found any real wedding dresses that are like my image so I’m gonna need to get it custom made. I think it might of been Mia who showed in one of her other videos a website were you can order custom dresses and stuff and I’m thinking I’ll probably do something like that.

Before I went wedding dress shopping I doubted the existence of “the one” but it’s totally true and real and was a really special moment for me and for the people I took shopping with me!
I wonder if Mia remembers saying this: "I have a new checklist for if I possibly ever get married...my wedding dress needs fringe. It's a must-have. 'Cause this makes me feel very good." -- From her "A VERY EXTRA WISH HAUL.. maybe the most extra ever ?!" video (at 17:43)
I was just re-watching that video yesterday and thought, "Wow! Now that she's getting married, I wonder if she remembers wanting a fringe for her wedding dress?" ... and then today's video turned out to be trying on wedding dresses! And she actually did try one on that had a fringe! (dress 6) 😊

Totally agree with this. I ended up falling in love with a dress that was about as far away from what I thought as possible. I tried it on for some fun after about 7 different bridal studios and about 40 dresses and it had a cape. I teared up seeing myself in it.
Dress 14 is I think one of the most flattering for your frame. I love the more square neck as well. I would just add a bit more detail and beading to the top with some matching sleeves and it would be stunning. Satin definitely is eye catching. I think it's just gonna take trying on a few more to find out what you are really going for.
I'm really jealous of their family bond. Everyone is always so supportive of each other, actually enjoying each other's presence. Also, I really hope you'll get yourself a custom made dress. Looking forward to the result!

Dress 14 is amazing! My wedding dress was also satin and it was so comfortable, beaded or lace dresses tend to be so heavy and weigh you down. I believe comfort is a huge deal when it comes to wedding dresses because you will be wearing it for a long time.
I wore a satin dress for my wedding and it was amazing!! Things to consider…
1. Weather on wedding day and vibe of venue
2. Tight dresses can get uncomfortable throughout the day!
3. If you’re going to hold flowers, don’t let the dress overpower them :) everything should complement!
Lemme just say, I got married at 20, and I want you to feel YOU in the wedding dress. Don’t pick because other people to, if it doesn’t hit with other people, doesn’t matter. A dress that is an embodiment of YOU is what you want. Congratulations btw!
A turtle neck and long flowing medieval sleeves DEFINITELY exists! Even if you have to have it designed or made, don’t settle!

Dress 14 is my absolute favorite, the top is very flattering on you, the side cut out, and the skirt is great. The whole thing is so flattering on you, you for sure could whimsical that up with some lace and sleeves! Or have a designer go off of that silhouette, and add to it!

Number 9 with the sleeve reminds me of Lord of the Rings elves. Sooooo pretty! Also, never let a Bridal shop tell you a dress doesn’t exist, they are just trying to deter you from shopping elsewhere. You can always get a custom wedding dress made if you REALLY want to as well!
I also liked the “clash of the fabrics” I imagine the satin dress with the sleeves that they put on you (dress #9) and they connect along the lower back and go down into a train moment. So beautiful lace sleeves and train and a satin front

The gorgeous #14 satin one was my absolute faveeeee. That with the simple poofy sleeve and a whimsical bouquet and flower headpiece will be simply amazing. But there are so much more dresses to see and try. Have fun finding the right one and don't get nervous, it will all be worth it!

Coming from someone who has a similar style inspo for a wedding dress, I definitely would recommend to check out Odylyne the Ceremony gowns because they have lots of poofy sleeves and drama but aren’t too much

I am totally with you on this! My sister is a designer and there are certain fabrics that you’d think clash but you can put together. Maybe it was different in person but i thought it was gorgeous.

Yes! Putting that lace with the satin is so beautiful! I think with the dramatic slit and how sleek it looks but with the sleeves being so long and flowy with the lace would look SO AMAZING! ❤️
Dress 8 with the sleeve was chef's kiss perfection 10/10. The sparkly fringe and the satin ones looked great but #8 looked AMAZING on you and seems to fit your personality and theme.

For the "Satin"-inquiry: Personally, I love Satin fabric - it's classy and magical at the same time, it usually fits in a flattering way on any body shape, plus it expresses a simultaneously simplistic and royal vibe. Satin rarely disappointsvon any occasion ✨

I feel like you would love Lily Collins' wedding dress. It had a high neck, lots of beautiful lace and pearls I think. You'd want the sleeves bigger obviously but with that it would definitely have that fairytale, whimsical feel to it. You should check it out! It's also almost a crossover between the big poofy lace dreses and the tight, body-hugging satin dresses you looked at.
I also thought her wedding vibe matches lily Collins. Especially because of the high neck.

I think the satin with the sleeves is really pretty. When the person that was helping you said it didn’t go together I think it did lol it was so pretty. Also sleeves are the way to go! It makes all the dresses 10x better. The square neckline also looks flawless on you!

Dress #14 was by FAR my fav. And to answer your question my dear we LOVE a satin moment! I think that fabric in particular is so soft and beautiful and very flattering. Paired with some gloves or of course SLEEVES!🤍 Good luck on your dress adventures hun! Can’t wait to see more wedding content!
Hey Mia, I’m a professional stylist. If you’re going to do a satin dress, I recommend definitely layering with lace or appliqués because the fabric is too plain for your bold personality. I also think you look best in a full skirt with the cowl or square neckline. I love the idea of you wearing a bishop sleeve opposed to a bell sleeve, only because bell sleeves are so large they will probably get in your way when trying to reach for anything at the dinner table, etc. - which may lead to you staining the sleeves of the dress. Dress 14 was my favorite!! There is something about satin dresses they look soo elegant and pretty and even though they are most of the time plane they don’t look simple and boring. On the other hand dresses with lace are also so pretty 🤩. When Mia was describing what she wanted for her dress I was like yees!! When I think of the dress I would like to wear some day I have the same ideas as Mia ❤️
Dress 14 is STUNNING on you. Adding a sheer batwing type sleeve with lace at the bottom could add enough, but not too much, whimsical feel. I don’t have Instagram so I can’t go see the other dresses you tried on, but your dress definitely exists! Even if you have to piece it together one section at a time!

Me too! I wanted a sheath satin or an a-line with simple lace and no bling. I wanted to be a classy queen! I ended up buying a trumpet lace-heavy bling monster. I LOVE it. lol
Me too. What I wanted was a sleeved dress that was form fitting. But I fell in love with a organza ball gown that looked similar to Belles dress from beauty and the beast.
