Glitch City [Expedition / Rain World Downpour]

Corrupted Metropolis (Switch, 1.9.13)
This happened only once. Setup:
Starting and quitting Expedition many times (more than 20 times)
+ starting and abandoning an Expedition after a couple Cycles
+ Karma-Caching;
other than that: Tamed Cyan Lizard before starve Cycle, Squidcada for sleepover,
entered LC_LAB03 from the left side.
There was no difference in game before entering LAB03.
It was dark on the middle screen and sparkle zone on the right.
In LC_LAB01 the game crashed finally.

Pokémon didn't invent terrifying glitches that always existed and is pretty much infamous
