This video actually syncs up really well to the song Poisons by Pile. I just put this video on mute and then started playing the song Poisons by the band Pile. It's like a weird synchronicity but I highly recommend it. Elevates the visuals a lot.
Not sure why people are complaining about the mix. It sounds fine, and the rawness of it sounds very intentional. Great song. Lyrics and vocals are catchy as fuck

The other single felt pretty “off” too… both remind me quite a bit of the much-maligned You’re Better Than This mix job. The songs themselves are among the strongest singles they’ve ever released, though. Not sure if that makes it easier or harder to swallow.

@@fishfur9530 yeah, listening back to YBTT after commenting it’s actually quite different from what I remember and has sort of the opposite problem of being too bright and piercing. Definitely sounds more like Green and Gray recording with a more rushed mix.
It’s a trio now (i think) so maybe the stripped down arrangement contributes to this feeling of it sounding rushed. I’m a fan of the much maligned albiniesque recording style though so ybtt is one of my favorites.

Agree , Sean - the ' looseness ' is quite deliberate , and well planned . Excellent drumming holds it all in place .
