Dynamite is BTS's first English song released by them and they will release their second song Butter on May 21st. HYBE will not block you as long as you show the opening with the logo. BTS is a 7 member group from South Korea consisting of 4 vocalists and 3 rappers that have been together since 2013. In Dynamite all the members are singing so it's hard to see which ones are the rappers. Each BTS music video has English captions so you can follow along to the song just hit the CC button.
Welcome to your first taste of BTS but I must say Dynamite is not BTS's typical music style. You should react to Black Swan, Mic Drop and ON Kinetic Manifesto Film to get a taste of what BTS is capable of. Sorry for the long comment I hope you enjoy your journey and don't worry we don't bite we are just overly protective of the guys =)

That’s good then, I’m always cautious with reacting to a new group/band just in case it gets blocked like my MGK video did haha. It’s mad that there’s 7 of them! Going off of what I seen just then they’re really talented and it’s good!
Thank you, I feel welcome haha, I’ll be sure to check those out too, I’m really interested and I’m sure my brother would be happy to see me listening to music from his native tongue haha

Im a metal/punk/indie fan myself and yet I'm an Army , cause BTS are genuinely good people who make genuinely good music 😎 This track and the choreo basically scream Jackson 5/MJ, and
MJ's family and colleagues saw Dynamite and gave their blessing 😌
As the comments have told you, Dynamite is not written by the members but they write and produce most of their music. There's a song for everyone cause they use a huge variety of genres and scale, from intimate stripped back acoustic songs to top class breathtaking stadium anthems. I won't bombard you with trivia, if you want to learn more, try introduction videos by xCeleste 😊 for rock/metal fans I'd suggest Mic drop, Fake love (rock ver), Dionysus, Black swan, ON, Daechwita (from one of the rappers' side project) and their cover of Coldplay Fix You. Take your time and listen without prejudice, even if it's not your thing, you can appreciate the talents and skills 😉

Thank you for being open-minded and willing to learn more about them. Many locals are biased and only listen to Dynamite out of the 200+ songs they’ve created to then instantly judge the guys’ music and call it auto-tuned shit lol. Not to mention that they don’t like the fact that something “new” is coming into Western media and call them a simple phenomenon rather than recognizing them as true musical artists who work just as hard as everyone else. The fact that they’re Korean and “we can’t understand what they’re saying” is something that antis always attack, and it’s quite ignorant, to say the least. It’s just music, in a different language. And it bothers me that they don’t keep the same energy for Spanish songs, but I’m just ranting at this point, sorry 💀
Their Korean songs have incredible lyrics and meaningful messages, Dynamite was simply a fun song to uplift everyone during the pandemic and unexpectedly blew up. It was a really cool project for them, since it was their first fully English song (and only 1 member, leader of the group RM, is fluent in English) and it surpassed many achievements in the West (not surprising, tho).
If you ever do get the chance to react to more BTS, I recommend to first listen to the song and watch the dance moves, get a vibe of the music video, and then proceed to google up the lyrics on “doolsetbangtan” (pls don’t use Genius, it’s not accurate), or you can watch DKDKTV’s TH-cam videos, which consist of actual Koreans who explain the lyrics in depth. I also recommend watching the fan-made docu-series on TH-cam, called “The Rise of Bangtan”. You’ll be able to study their entire journey from when they got recruited, it’s a very well edited series! :)
I’m trying to stay away from recommending actual songs, because I’d probably have a list too long, and I can’t determine which songs you’ll like, but you GOTTA react to MIC DROP, that’s like, the only exception 😂 (the visuals and dancing is honestly my favorite, and you’ll notice that the BTS in MIC Drop is definitely not the same BTS you saw in Dynamite, an example that shows that BTS is quite experimental with distinguishing genres).
You will also notice the growth in their music as well (they began in 2013 as a hip-hop centered group, so you will notice there being a lot of rap in their early songs, but then began to branch out to explore other genres as the years have gone by).
There really is no set genre that defines BTS, which is probably one of the reasons they attract many individuals with different musical tastes and from all ages, genders, races, ethnicities... you name it! Their fan base is incredible; many stereotype ARMY and say it consists of 12 year old screaming girls...nah LMAO. I’m a whole-ass college student, and I have friends who have PARENTS that listen to BTS. About half of the fandom are 18+, even up to until about 60+, and more than 40% are males. It’s just amazing. But then again, BTS are just artists that want to put out their music, it’s not like they have a dedicated age group (and I doubt it’s for 12 year olds when they use explicit words and have some songs that discuss sexual behavior lol, but that’s beside the point).
Btw, if you want to find funny BTS TH-cam videos to just laugh at and enjoy, I recommend basically all the videos of the channels “seokjin myfeels”, “squishy min yoongi”, “jin’s salami”, “GuCCiTae”, “kokokie”, and “bangtansus” (BTS in America is hilarious).
I hope you take these recommendations into consideration, and thank you for being respectful once again! 🤍

BTS has an extremely diverse discography - everything from poppy tunes like this to full on rap diss tracks. All their official MV’s have English captions - just turn them on. They are very lyric driven so knowing what they are saying helps. Dynamite was released during the height of COVID to basically help people feel good - a little lite relief if you will. Hope you react to more of their songs. I have noticed people has already suggested songs so I will keep an eye out for your next one.

Part of what makes bts so fun is the way they play with genres, we never know what to expect when a new song comes out :). This one is kind of an ode to pop as a genre, meant to be a happy nostalgia bomb to people stuck in lockdown.

Welcome to the BTS World! They are so talented, it's worth pursing just to see the range of songs they have. As previous people have commented there's a lot to chose from. XCeleste (and others) does a great synopsis of their story which is good to watch. Also their live performances are awesome. They have the same song performed/presented in different ways which means they just keep it interesting. You'll enjoy them, no matter what your taste is. And they are such great guys, won many awards despite coming from a small company and not expected to get anywhere. They overcame their haters (yes, there were those aplenty) and did good. Enjoy!

BTS made this song to cheer us up during a terrible time. And it did/does, it still makes me smile everything I hear it and esp when I watch the MV. But as other has said, this is very different from the rest of their music. Actually, they do all of the genres. You should check out some of their other music, esp the rap focused ones - other comments have listed a bunch of the good ones. The Cyphers are some of my favs, but I love Ugh and Ddaeng (although you'll probably want to watch some explanation videos so you can appreciate their amazing word play). You should check out their solo work as well - in particular, RM's Joke - that one slays, and Agust D's (he's Suga in BTS, real name Min Yoongi) work.

It makes you happy, doesn't it? 😊
I saw you naturally moving your body to the music 🤭... yes, nobody could keep still when listening to this song. Dynamite was meant to make listeners feel happy as we brave ourselves to live through this pandemic. Many people are depressed due to loss of employments, loved ones, freedom to go outside etc. BTS released this song to make us happy (that is why the lyrics are simple... unlike other BTS' songs)

Tip of the iceberg, my friend. Tip of the iceberg!
Thanks for checking out BTS. One of the members said that all you need is to keep an open mind. They will surprise you - again and again. It's worth spending a bit more time experiencing more of their content. They are amazing live performers and dancers, famous for their incredible lyrics (not Dynamite, it was meant to just be fun during the pandemic). Just to let you know: It's impossible to tell when you're knew to BTS, but they have a continous storyline (BU = Bangtan Universe) running through a lot of their mvs. They have a lot of eastereggs placed in all their content. They reference a lot of art, literature, philosophy, history, movies etc. - and the best part: Pretty much everything you see and hear it not coincidental - everything has purpose! Enjoy!

I’ll give you a quick summary of why BTS is huge . Their huge because they aren’t your normal kpop group . Not even your normal boyband . Bts fans sometimes don’t like to put bts with kpop or boyband categories even tho they are the biggest boyband / kpop group in the world right now . Mainly because of how different they are to other groups, western artists and the term “ boyband “ comes with insults and stereotypes such as people thinking they don’t write their own music, only for teens etc.
So BTS is is acronym for the korean name “BANGTAN Sonyeondon”. Which translates to “BULLETPROOF BOY SCOUTS “ That name has a meaning . Basically bts is a group that wants to use their music and platform to spread positivity and connect with people of all race and gender while teaching people music has the power to transcend and translate messages regardless of your race , age or gender . They also go by “beyond the scene” or Bangtan boys . This is something kpop fans and Armys always want to teach people especially since kpop groups tend to get a lot of racist hate comments sometimes because of their looks , called girls and other homophobic insults .
Over the years BTS has tackle topics in their music such as mental health and suicide ( taboo topics in Asian culture ) anxiety, loneliness, politics , women’s empowerment , Domestic Abuse , government , pursing your dreams and not living somebody else dream , differences between old and younger generation , motivation to youth , socio-economics , self love , self care and struggles and motivating people , Etc . they want their music to connect anyone regardless of your age : kids , teens , adults , elders etc
Also bts fanbase actually a lot more diverse in age and gender then you think . Majority of the fans are over 21 despite how many screaming girls you see on Social media. I’m 24 , kpop fan since high school. My co workers in their 20s, 30s and 40s are fans . Both male and female . Even John cena is a fan lol. Me personally I love them also because they contribute a lot to Asian representation since there a lack of Asians in American media , entertainment etc
BTS is also known for contributing to charities and causes. They donated 1 Million Dollars to Black Lives Matter and the Armys ( bts fandom name) donated 1 million dollars as well in just 24Hrs. Total of 2million was donated. The Armys also take part in creating their own projects naming it after the members such as planting trees , donating money to children hospital , canned food drives and many more .
Overall BTS is huge because they work hard to show people Music has the power to transcend and translate messages regardless of race , gender, religion, language or age.
If you get a chance , I highly recommend checking out these articles that explain more about their music . You’ll understand better .

I really enjoyed your reaction! It's always fun to watch people discovering BTS. But don't feel pressured to like them. We really appreciate honest reactions and if you'll find yourself not really enjoying their music it's totally fine.
Still most people find themselves enjoying their stuff after digging a little bit deeper into BTS story and discography because BTS covers so many genres and concepts that is hard to not find something your cup of tea. And personally...all their stuff is my cup of tea so--.
Also it's quite helpful to know where they come from as artists to appreciate their work more so please react to "Crash course of BTS" or "This is BTS" or " Who is BTS: The seven members of bangtan". They are long videos but we'll watch it with you until the end, don't worry haha.
Also all of their live performances are a piece of art in itself. And for my taste often even more stirring than the MVs. Anyways, I'm looking forward to more of your content and I'll check out your other videos now ans leave a sub :)

Lovely first reaction, your smile says it all. Don't worry about being a newbie, and don't worry if some of the fanbase gets picky about details, 99.9% of us welcome you with gladness. Yeah this is pop, but as about a million other (Army) comments will say, it's not their most typical style, they have a LOT of genres. And don't worry about copyright on a full Big Hit or Hybe MV, as long as you plat the intro you are fine with them. The fan made videos are fine too, just give them the credits. Sopeaking of which, please take a look at some of the BTS intro videos, I recommend starting with xCeletse for their history, and for them as individuls you should do WHo is BTS by Suga and spice. Remember to turn on english.subtitles when you do their other songs, the lyrics are really really good. I always say Mic Drop next, for the contrast, and for you, maybe Not Today or Dionysus. Just have fun with this! Subscribed.

Thats okay then, a lot of my reactions I’m always worried I’m gonna somehow upset the fan base etc 😅 I’ll check the intro videos too, I’m genuinely curious about a lot of their music but I’m gonna wait till I’ve done more reactions before I delve into it, that way it’s a genuine reaction and not something I’ve listened to by accident without realising haha!

Tae is defo coming to wreck every armys bias and bias wreckers lists especially with that smile at the end, also my Jiminie i still cant get over him and that ‘finger bang’ he does he owns it, also the way he looks into the camera and stares into your soul and heart. Also ther dancing and vocals (especially the raplines as i wasnt expecting them to not rap at all) and attitude they give off is just perfect. Also for being their very first song fully in english just goes to show that they have improved alot (from what i have heard and read Korean is easier to learn than english).
Also the fact that every Army right now is being biased wrecked by every member including their bias just goes to show how perfect and amazing these guys are and that they do such an amazing job with what they do as well

As Im from Finland, my background is in finnish metal music, more unknown bands maybe, like Turmion kätilöt, Wintersun, Amorphis etc. But Im also a big Bts fan, cause they are so different, genuine, kind and honest and we need that in the world these days. Fake love and Outro tear saved me from a toxic relationship by waking me up with the lyrics that fit to my situation. And for that Im forever thankful to them also 💜 many Bts fans are like me, over 30 and love all kinds of music, many metalheads also

Really catchy AF. Actually, this song is more like a call to the people who still do not know them because it easily catches and is easily marketable to many people, it is their first all-English song, it has positive lyrics about appreciating the little things that make our day, it is funky, and the beat, the melody is very catchy and it something that you can dance to and vibe with.
BTS is a multi-genre group. My views on BTS changed a lot, it went from the bad boy and grungy, to raw and emotional, to cheerful and bright, and so on.
Their talent is just incredible. A quick backstory to the members: RM and Suga are from the underground rap scene, J-Hope is a street dancer, Jimin is a contemporary dancer, V is a farmer and saxophone player, Jin is a theater student just found walking on a street, and Jungkook had a dream of becoming a badminton player but became a singer instead. RM and Suga produced and written about a hundred already of BTS's songs.

  • @Maraaha55
    @Maraaha55 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I'm gotta say to you, for a metal head this would be the Last I would recommend. If you enjoyed it, then look at any one of the different performances - the recent one for the Grammys is hard to beat - singing and dancing live, which is well within their normal exertions. I'm a fairly fervent ARMY, and I think Dynamite is one of my least favourite songs ever. It isn't like BTS at all, except that their performance standards lift it beyond what it could otherwise be. They released it to cheer people up during 2020
However, if you like Hard - then look at ON. There are lots of versions, Live -on Jimmy Kimmel show at Grand Central Terminal; the On Kinetic Manifesto; and the official MV. Any is good, but I would suggest the Jimmy Kimmel Show - bear in mind they sing and dance live. Then you will know what HARD is.
There are lots of other hard and driven songs you might like, as suggested by other comments. They are all good.
These are in Korean and English - put on subtitles, it's easy.

If you are into guitars and stuffs, would definitely recommend BTS's DNA, its an edm with strong guitar in the background.
Also as comments told you Dynamite does not represent BTS, their discography is far more varied...it was released amidst the pandemic to comfort Armys and people around the world...they can go from ballad to heavy raps..to EDMs to hip hop(hip hop being their base)...
I would like to suggest something, if you want to comment anything while the video is playing would appreciate if you could pause so that we could hear you😋. Sorry if I offended you. We Armys don't mind long reactions, we even enjoy hour long reactions!
