Which key-bind do you use to walk backwards to parry and evade if all are already occupied? You mentioned it is only important for certain classes, but I was wondering how is that even possible if X is already taken ^^? 2. Do you also play RBG? Arena is too quick for me atm, so I am mostly doing RBGs. If so, how do you target and focus with 10+ players running around you? 3. Why don't you use cursor or mouse-over macros? 4. Is your tab key bound to target only enemy players or target enemies generally? Have a nice evening!
Hey! Great questions! I actually don't have backpeddle bound on anything - even though I really should for my monk/rogue/warrior realistically. I'd most likely bind shift+x to backpeddle seeing I use z and c to strafe and x is my special ability use, or i'd try and get used to shift+x as my special ability (stealth, bear form etc) and change my backpeddle keybind to x. As for RBGs, I have played a decent amount of RBGs though it's definitely my least played PvP bracket, I do use tab to target nearest enemies, specifically so I can flame shock pets or frost shock root demo lock demons etc off of me because they hurt super bad rn LOL. But realistically I'm just click targeting/tab targetting in RBGs, I do know theres an addon that brings up an entire 10 man nameplate that can be size adjusted to fit comfortably for your UI that has all the enemies names/specs of classes on it and you can click those name plates to target instead - That addon is called RBG Frames and you can find it on the Curseforge app! :)
And I don't use cursor/mouse-over macros because I'm not really used to it, and sometimes I don't want to click my totem immediately as, sometimes if I'm mousing over someone to place say a cap stun, they'll use something like disengage at that exact moment and I'd otherwise miss that totem by doing that, I personally like to have earthgrab totem for instance NOT on a cursor macro, because vs rogues/ferals/hunters I like to hover the green targeting reticle around and instantly use the earthgrab the second a sap goes off on a healer for instance, this will 90% of the time get the rogue out of stealth and can actually be seen being done in my Livelord Elemental video at 15:50 seconds into the video :)
Thanks for the great ele vids! Do you have plan to do one on gearing? I'm new to pvp and would love to see your thought process on gearing in df. I'm specifically wondering what stats your prioritizing and what you've spent conquest/strife on first.
Hey! I can do a video on gearing no problem! But to give you a small breakdown in a comment - I go for Vers > Mastery > Crit a lot of people are running Vers > Mastery > Haste but because I run the ascendance proc and I really enjoy seeing big numbers I run Crit, when ascendance procs the crit % gets turned into damage for lava bursts so I hit really hard when ascendance procs! Haste is great though for more consistent procs etc! I'll do a video on my gearing method asap! Thanks for the comment!

FYI Shield Block doesn't work from behind either. So you do wanna try be facing melee when you can. On the PvP training dummy that's a 10% chance to reduce damage by 44%.
Hey! Great question! Most of the time I jump in the direction I'm kiting and click the middle mouse while in air, this keeps my momentum going in the same direction, OR I use it while rooted. Also I normally click it with the side of my finger, I happen to have pretty big hands so I can actually press all 3 at once comfortably, though this may just be because I've used that keybind for that for a very long time (since cata.)
@@Jakub189 I use my Index and Middle finger on my mouse only, in order to activate spirit walk I just nudge my index finger into the scroll wheel button basically lol.
I've been dragging my nuts on people's face as ele and decided to try to give enhance a go. Have you ever given enhance a shot/did you find any decent macro setups that work for you?
Oh yea I love enhance, I just haven't played it much as ele is just a slammer right now lmao. I can do a video on enhance as well if people are interested in that. I don't think theres a lot of enhance players out there now so that might be fun to get into a bit. My macros for enhance are similar to my ele macros but I do have one that operate solely around enhance. Feral spirit is a huge CD for us, so I use it very similar to how ele uses Fire Ele. Macro wise I use a Bloodlust macro for my dps teamate/2s partner which is a simple: #showtooltip Bloodlust /cast [@*Insert Partner's name here)] Bloodlust
@Grimlocked I've been big into pvp, and ele is a murderfest. I remember the days of enhance murdering in pvp as well and figured I'd look around for any tips or pointers on the proper way to go about it in arenas. I feel like the elementalist builds are probably better but idk

Hey! The way I'd do this macro is what's called a cast sequence macro, or a macro that will reset back to the original cast 5 seconds before the first spell is off cooldown. Hopefully this works: #showtooltip Flame Shock (Or Primordial Wave whatever you want the icon to show) /castsequence reset=cooldown-5 Primdordial Wave, Flame Shock This should work hopefully to get the result you're looking for :)
@@mattisjouy392 Aww man! I'm sorry, I normally don't keybind them together. I'm assuming this doesn't work because primordial wave happens to lower it's CD per lava burst/LB overload, so it messes with the reset timer in the macro. I'm really sorry. I'll try to find a different format of macro for this, but normally macroing 2 abilities in a macro that are on global doesn't work unless they both don't have any CD. I.E.: Purge + Frost Shock or something along the lines of that. As it rotates back and forth between the two as you press them. You could try /castsequence Primordial Wave, Flame Shock But when if your primordial wave isn't off cooldown, you won't be able to cast a flame shock basically until Primordial wave comes off CD in order for it to sequence to flame shock basically. I'll continue looking into it for you!
Ancestral guidance shouldn’t be in that astral shift macro. The way it works is it heals for certain % when ur bursting. Say if ur getting trained, u pop ur def and then u get a kidney shot… ur ancestral guidance will fall off when ur out of stun. I mean.. it’s less effective and situational.. i usually pop it when my healer or partner is getting pressured to keep up the heals.
No matter what i do when i make a basic focus macro, its only casting on my focus target. Instead of normally the ability should go off on my target and only go off on the focus target if i hold shift. using the basic focus macro #showtooltip Paralysis /cast [target=focus] Paralysis really need some help have no idea why this is happening
That macro makes the Paralysis only cast at Focus. Theres no shift modifier mentioned in the macro so it won't activate only on shift. :) /cast [mod:shift, @focus] Paralysis should work I believe. :)

Hi! How you are moving your character if your wasd is key-binded?
I move using my mouse left and right click, if I hold both down at the same time I move forward, and I strafe using z and c!

You can actually use /target Arena1 or Arena2 for the flag carriers! :)

Enhancement and Resto have SO MANY MORE keybinds... Hate it.
I also play enhancement and I honestly think Ele has more keybinds haha BUT If you'd like I can do a video on enhancement keybindings :)
