5:10 carry a vicegrip in your detailing rig. You can use the vicegrip on the hood support strut to keep the hood from falling and you don't have to wedge those brushes in. Great way to minimize risk of those brushes slipping out or damaging a component under the hood. Great video my man 👊🏽
@@jerryjenkins6071 if they already need to be replaced I wouldn't worry to much about it unless it's a super nice vehicle or expensive car but yes they do make strut clamps as well 👍🏽
Get an IK pro foam sprayer, I use chemical guys' soap in it. Spray the entire bay. Scrub and agitate with a brush all of the main parts of the engine (air intake, fuse box, etc) then rinse down with a garden hose on the setting shower. Don't forget to put a towel on the alternator, and between the area of the ignition coils.

@@CiIem Get some scrap panels to practice on. This way it does not matter if you damage anything. In most cases, you can get great results with just a mild polish and some pads. If you are going to offer a polishing service, get a paint thickness gauge, it is hard to describe the feeling of seeing primer as you polish.

They make special clamps for this that don’t leave damaging grooves like most vise grips.

same, watch many youtube videos and you will learn, also try it on your own car first

Do you ever get scared detailing the engine bay? What kind of protections do you have for the customer to avoidany issues with water getting in there
There is no harm to cleaning a modern engine. They're designed to get wet from everyday driving.
I feel the same way. If im spraying pressurized water in the engine bay and then something happens it makes me wonder if id be liable
