@@richardestey7739 his kinda starts slow and I'm wondering if I should consider rebuilding the starter. It does start ok though. Our little ford jubilee sure starts good for a 6v system.

Have you checked with your local JD dealer. I also have a 51MT and the dealer was super helpful getting me parts and service manuals for my tractor. I would look it up for you, but I keep that tractor out at my family’s place out of state. My dealer in Salinas Ca is now an RDO Equipment, they are the largest JD dealership company and would be able to help.

Is yours still 6 volt or did you convert it? My uncle was considering converting his.
