Delighted to see you enjoying the fruits of your hardwork. Nothing more rewarding. Mimosa is a great pioneer plant to secure soils and establish forests, but it certainy has the reputation you outlined. Good to see it mulched and being useful! 😊
nice! traditional recipes, conscientious forestry administration, not afraid hard work, appreciation of the simple pleasures in life... i'm impressed. you already think as a portuguese. and plant tree fruits. cherry, plum, loquat, figs, apples, pears, blackberries, nuts... everything you can think of plant it, now, from the start. the more varied the better. they are good investments. stay strong. 🤠😎
THIS STEP IN THE REUSE OF THIS INVASIVE SPECIES IS EXCELLENT AND IMPORTANT. YOU ARE ON THE GOOD PATH, I WISH YOU HEALTH BECAUSE YOU HAVE INTELLIGENCE. THIS CHEMICAL-FREE FOOD HAS ANOTHER TASTE.
Nice chipper. I have a small electric version. I do not have that much wood to chip in my tiny 100 square meter garden, but I am still glad that I have bought that garden chipper. In the past I used to cut it all by hand and it would take me hours if not a coupe of days to do it. I can't believe how fast your veggies are growing even this late in the season. Here in the Netherlands everything has gone dormant or it even died. The season has come to a full stop. The salade looked delicious. The land is your office, and it is a good office to have. 👍
@@insAneTunA I can imagine that doing it all by hand was quite the work 😅 I also try to do a lot without heavy machinery, but sometimes it is worth the investment 🤗 I am quite surprised myself how everything flourishes in the green house. The climate helps a lot ☀️🙏
@@Itsirislisette I still cut some by hand because I want to mimic a forest floor at my plant borders. So I put some longer hand cut branches at those locations. That works very well to prevent that the soil is going to be compacted. Even when you walk on it it will simply bounce back up again. And the air is very good for the aerobic bacteria. And the decay from the wood goes at a natural pace. The shredded material is turned into compost.
Good luck, you have done a great job. I can imagine that the taste of the salad must be good. Wait until you have your own tomato ,courgette and aubergine.
@@ciprianoneves7246 Thanks for caring. The feed control bar makes it actually really safe 🙏 No gloves would just mean a lot of scratches from the branches etc.
@@annadaurie2435 They are quite resilient indeed 😅 I had some success by removing the regrown parts regularly and overtime they stopped creating new shoots.

So happy to see you enjoying the fruits of your labour 😊 Jack is having the time of his life 😅

Thank you! I try to be an honorary Portuguese 😁 Yes, the fruit trees are already planted since a few weeks ago.

O recipiente não deve estar hermeticamente fechado, e não ficam doces afim de um mês. Aqui em casa é assim que fazemos.

There’s nothing better than picking your food straight from the garden 🪴 ❤. I was raised on garden fresh veggies; can’t get any better than that ❤

Tip….do not use gloves while using the wood chipper…..they could get snaged and pull your arm in.

In order for these invasive trees not to grow again, unfortunately, you need to remove the root, or they will grow back.
