They can attack all the time, and do. So alot of people like revenge only and some keep hunters off until more established and until they have foundations down in various places so they don't get blocked in. Love the cougar route against the snow for fast tracking across the map, its nice to put up a few cougar kill stands all along there too.
Holy shit mate, could you get that any closer to dying, it's a bit chilly out there, if I remember right the periodic attacks your base can be attacked at least 3 times per day, so I you where to attack all 3 bases in one day that could be upto 6 attacks in one day but it might have changed since I last had periodic turned on

Yah, when I tried periodic attacks I was SLAMMED with attacks, rest assured I will turn it off if necessary. Yep, cougar stands coming.
